However, in two separate statements signed by Abdul-Azeez Suleiman for NEF and Danladi DanAsabe for ATT, the groups said the recent utterances of Mr. Akiolu t amount to a “clear breach of the tenets of royalty and nobility”.
“Besides, it is unthinkable how a person who was disgraced out of the police service would have the audacity to unjustly accuse others of corruption,” Mr. Suleiman said.
“We challenge him to provide clear proofs of his allegations otherwise he remains a discredited and lying member of the royal class and a disappointment to nobility and those who hold the institution dear. He said he wondered how a person who ascended the stool through “dubious means and surrounds himself with people of doubtful character” should speak about integrity.”
Technical Knock Out, form abookis to AFONJAS. On a serious note, yoruba traditional rulers should try and carry themselves with dignity |

victorvezx: Lol, with all their bluntness, they have being rendered politically irrelevant. Igbos just know how to talk tough and do nothing I hope you will exhume the corpse of Ahmadu Bello or Murtala Muhammed and make him the messiah president in order to extend your brief federal relevance. With Igbos being vindicated on their stance on Buhari and exposing the yorubas, be sure to recoil back to ethnic regional politics where you have always belonged since 1960. Even Obasanjos presidency was heavily pro Igbo, and Osinbajo may not be different. I already see yorubas being angry about the possible incapacitation of buhari despite their son being the one to take over, they fear a level playground may be created which will send back to amala politics |
Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by basilo102: 11:20pm On Feb 24, 2017 |
christejames: Yes bro... it will be a great idea. there are several locations in and around the town that you can establish your serene Tiger Estate. But I will suggest Ihuama, Ajuona (both in Obukpa) or areas around Obukpa layout, and hilltop due to their proximity to UNN. other interesting parts of the town that is witnessing gradual development are ugwuawarawa (with beautiful edifices being erected on the expansive escarpment), Ikenga layout (still waiting to be fully developed), also areas around Echara layout with other numerous areas that I can't lay my hands on now...
NSK is growing with some new private tertiary institutions already berthing in the town especially around Echara, Ofulonu axis down to the ever busy industrial layout with her bustling building materials market therein. The town is on the path to glory! It hard to get any land for estate unless it is land already grabbed by Nsukka people i.e. Indigenes of Nsukka Urban. Ihuama and Ajuona Obukpa are densely populated and very rural, Areas around obukpa layout are filled, even obukpa layout itself was not fully developed because obukpa people encroached on the land and built up almost half of the layout, the government cut out the already built places. The dispersed settlement pattern is something else. This is satellite image of Obukpa/Ovoko axis, second pic is Ajona Obukpa behind UNN staff quaters, Obukpa layout and its environs, where can any estate fit in?? The only spaces you see are top of chains of hill which is uninhabitable

LoveDecay: it's called verbal diarrhea... the disease is the reason they politically insignificant, yet arguably considered the power house of "low level" commercial activities in Nigeria.
Come to think of it , how much do easterners remit in vat from the shops in the east... Igbos are not restricted to the east. your ports will be ghost and custom revenue will crumble without igbos. FG do not collect VAT where they did not invest, we built our shops so we pay VAT to our pockets. Igbos are not politically insignificant, they just dissociated themselves from the failure called Buhari. since 1999 Igbos have produced Senate president, CBN governor, INEC chairman, Chief of army staff, PDP national chairmen, FInance minister, I.G. of police etc. yorubas, who took advantage of igbos rejection of buhari and now boasting have not smelled most of this positions since 99 |

An explosion on Wednesday rocked a pipeline belonging to the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG).
The affected pipeline is located in Rivers state, said a statement released by the company.
The NLNG says it is investigating the cause of the explosion and also noted that there’s been no report of injuries and casualties thus far.
“An explosion occurred in the afternoon of Wednesday, 22nd February 2017 on a section of the Right of Way housing two gas transmission pipelines, one of which belongs to Nigeria LNG, about 3 kilometres from Rumuji in Rivers State,” the statement said.
“The underlying cause of the incident is still to be determined. No injuries or fatalities have been reported.
“Emergency response procedures were immediately activated and the relevant authorities notified. Communities closest to the area of the incident have been advised not to approach the site in the interest of safety.
“Other measures and engagements have also been initiated to ensure that the situation does not escalate. In the meantime, investigation into the incident is ongoing.”

RockHard: I've tried ignoring you but since you mentioned me, I have just one question for you. How do you explain those Anambra/SE Telco data numbers? Is it that Anambra/SE folks don't like using phones? Una traders, students, parents, civil servants, farmers, politicians e.t.c no dey make calls or buy phones like the rest of the country? Or your people are so rural and backward that they are averse to modern telephony?? Whether you like it or not, that raw Telco data is the closest thing we have to a credible estimate -- you can choose to add or subtract a million to/from any of those numbers and it wouldn't make much of a difference. The NBS figures you're touting are mere extrapolated/theoretical estimates that have absolutely no empirical basis. Poverty rate data puts Rivers state behind Anambra, Imo and Abia. I know your "our Oyel" ego is hurt by these data. It is not about insulting people, provide us valid proofs, Telco ko, tekno ni. Extrapolation is a valid stastitcal tool, telco is invalid unless it is programmed to accept one registration.
