So this is the Taiya Soul, hmmm, her laps are okay,  but not what i was expecting. Anyway, her voice is very good so that's fine.

So the government hasn't got anything better to do than to ban music. There is nothing wrong with any of the records, if you pay them, they will un ban everything.

1st: Cobhams - produced the asa's album that is still a phenomeon to the whole world at large especially france

2nd: Don Jazzy - producer of the major flow of mo'hits tracks making D'banj the best artist for MTV base awards and the Ikechuckwu's "wine am well" flow

3rd: Engee/ OJB - producer of psquare's hit tracks and award winning albums

4th: i fink i'll share both btw I.D cabasa and K-solo- the have the local content that blows our naija market

Thats a good analysis. I agree with you. But there are some up and coming guys that are good as well.

Cool. The swagga beat is very good. I like it. I will like to hear a remix with just Taiya Soul on it, that should sound crazy.

Don Jazzy is the best producer. He always trys to create new styles with each release. He doesn't just keep recycling the same beats like some other producers. But K-Solo and Terry G have made hit records, so they're also good.

Audio, Rapjunkie is right, lets concentrate on K16 not saucekid and others. I've been listening to his track called "Don't go" on Truspot. It is really very good. He needs to work on his PR. His talent is wasting

i don't know if it's the album of the year, but it is definitely a good album

I have listened to the track and to me, it doesn't have any appeal. Yes he is putting the words together and they are rhyming and there is a beat there, but i don't feel any excitement. Can't he try rapping about something with substance and maybe using a more commercial beat like others.

this breaker guy, what's your own? How can you even compare this guy to sauce kid? This guy has original lyrics, a rapstyle which i can confidently say i have not heard anyone else using in Nigeria and he is telling a story about a nite out which is fun to listen to. Maybe you should go and listen to his other tracks if you don't like this one.
Saucekid raps for the americans, not nigerians. In addition to that, his lyrical style is not original. Neither are his lyrics. He stole Zara's vocals and kicked her off his track. He only has one record that i know off that was a hit and he stole that beat as well.

If you don't like the record that is fine, but please don't compare him to saucekid, he is way way better.

considering what u said,the effects are cool.The track is quite funny though. Infact, i enjoyed watching it.Did you use "Trapcode's form" for the opening seq where u had the guy dancing on floor of waves reacting to the audio?
I mean the floor the guy was dancing on?. It's cool i like that.The shatter effect is also nice.Overall,the effects are okay.



@soji       I have seen some of your cuts,they're nice. What Camera did u use for the car advert/shot ?

Thanks.  The ever dependable Trapcode suite was in full effect, but Form was used for that particular effect. Shatter effect was with Boris.

Fair enough, i can understand why you will say that. The brief we were given was to go to town with the effects. The track itself is quite 80's old school, so we were told to give it a disjointed feel and just throw things visually at the viewer.

This is a good party track, but not the normal naija. The girl singer is really good too. Anyone have any info on her? Checked out the truspot, the back catalogue is also very good. I'm very surprised i'm only hearing about this guy now. He needs to sort out his PR. Definitely one to be watching. His flow is quite unique.

What is the composition settings used in creating videos for TV commercials, web animations and any other PLUS why is it that after effects runs slow on my system even with 1gb of RAM?

Lastly if you know of any good site for After effcts tutorials please post.

As everyone has said, video co-pilot is a good place to start. They have a basics section which is very good for starters.  The reason your computer is running so slowly is because After effects dey chop ram like no mans business. Most times, you will need a dedicated Graphic card with Open GL to get any sort of decent rendering times. 3d invigorator is quite good if you know how to use it for motion graphics. It's not as powerful as a Maya, but for day to day, it's really good and works natively in After Effects.

My one piece of advice will be to immerse yourself. Read any bit of literature you can  get your hands on and experiment constantly.

The size of your composition is determined by the client. You do as your told in that respect.

hmmmm, i work for anime design. We did the K16 - If you never sabi video. Mainly used Cinema 4d and after effects. What do you think? Comments appreciated.

@ Sojiguns, good work. I totally understand the budget restriction. I specialize primarily in motion graphics. It's hard tiring work and i don't think the clients fully appreciate how exhausting it can be. As long as the client liked it and paid you, that's all that matters.

I live in london which is a different market. Most times, you don't even see the client. Everything is done via e-mail and FTP Servers.

Anyway, i agree with your collaboration theory. It's the only way you can effectively compete. By the way, who is the Artistic Director at your studios? Is it you?

as a newbie in d 3d world, which app you think say make I start with, and reading materials. Somebody for SA don advise me say make I start with Blender, another say na LW, another say na 3dsmax, other say na Maya. my friend for yankee say na Poser 7 or no other. I dey VERY CONFUSED my guy. Abeg, which one you think say make I start with?

My personal recommendation will be to start with Cinema 4d by maxon. It's good as an entry level tool and will accomodate you as well, as you get more professional. Plus, it has very good integration with After Effects from version 7.  This is invaluable for Motion graphic work.

@ topic. Absolutely no. It is absurd. Remember, pidgin english is actually broken english. It is okay to communicate at a lower level, but not for teaching at secondary school level

@ topic. Need a bit more info. You saying that we should suggest a name for the hotel for you, implies that you are not serious. How can you not know the name of your own hotel? This is the very minimum, talk less of color schemes and image protrayal.

I think they make a total of about 5k deliever 2k if not theirs, or pay say 2k5h if on hired purchase, pay association pay touts, pay their chikalas (including some opportunist campus chick o) and pay the paraga babe @ the end of the day maybe they will have less than 5h.

I would simply ask the individual in question to be wise enough,By simply having money management skills,and not partying "hard" just to prove a point to anyone, So that when he/she(mostly he's) is old enough they can use all the money they have gathered to Join their fellow 19 men in PDP and Other political parties 9ja, and then really expand their trade, Note this time it wouldn't be just foreigners but a whole nation,this simply translates into = That "OBJ Money" $$$$ Ching Ching Mega bucks $$$$
