greenhope: I am a contract farmer and you don't need to buy lands to farm because there are farm settlements in Nigeria and all you need is to pay for the cropping period per hectare. In Ekiti where I have planted 29 hectares this year with TMS 30572 cassava variety all we paid was N4000 per hectare. (An hectare is 15 plots).

pls i just lost my job i am intrested in farming this is my i need details pls save a soul i av like 300k loan to invest to pay back in 3 month.pls i am waitng for ur reply.

robonski15: You will need at most #75,000 to buy the fingerlings or juvenile and to feed them to maturity.. It all depends on your choice of feeding..

You will need two plastic tanks for sorting.. I don't know how much the plastic tanks cost for now, it should be like #20k to #30k it depends on the size you want..

U should budget at most 150k for a start with other expenses like plumbing etc..

More so is there a ready source of water??

yes their is a source of water.thanks 4 ur response i am gr8ful

robonski15: Hello, there are different feeds with different prices...There is no 1.8 mm its only 1.5mm.. Coppens 1.5mm is #3200 for 5kg and 2mm sells for #5200..
Zeigler 2mm is #4500, while vital 2mm is #3900..
Note prices varies.

Concerning the average cost of feeding, I usually peg it down to #150 for each fish to maturity... 500 multiply by 150 = #75,000.. So u will need at least75k to take them all the way to maturity..No cut corners..prices can rise over time.. God bless

i want to start this business are you saying #75000 will feed 500 fishes to maturity like hw much should my budjet be if i wamt to start small with 500 fishes i av like 3/4 of a plot i want to use plastic ponds, tanks i am of limited means

speaktome: FEASIBILITY STUDY OF SIX CRUSHING MACHINES OF 20 METRIC TONES CAPACITY OF PALM KERNEL PER DAY (MEDIUM SCALE)

Using three crushing machines of 20 tones capacity, of palm kernel, for first crushing and other three machines for second crushing of cake

Assumed 95% efficiency of the crushing machines. For the three machines crushing kernel = 57 metric tones of palm kernel per day will be crushed for 24 hours

Using 41% of (CPKO) crude palm kernel oil from 57 tones of kernel crushed per day will give 23.370 tons of Crude palm kernel oil ( CPKO)

Also Using 50% of PKC palm kernel cake recovery from 57 tons of kernel crushed, to give 28.500 tons of PKC produced per day

With the current prices: using current prices of Kernel = N71,000 per ton, CPKO= N195,000 per ton and PKC= N16,000 per ton.

For One (1) day production:
Cost of Kernel= N71, 000 X 57 = N4, 047,000
Price unit of PKC produced = 28.5 X N16, 000 = N456,000
Price of CPKO = N195,000 X 23.370 = N4,557,150

Then profit = cost of CPKO + PKC – PKN
= N4,557,150 + N456,000 – N4,047,000 = N966,150

Profit per day = N966, 150

Assumed 24 working days in a month = N966.150 X 24 = N23,187,600

SAPNET: Trust is a major impediment to growth of businesses in Nigeria. Both from the supplier and the customer angles.

We are ready to supply large quantities of grade-A UK used laptops, even container loads if required to the Nigerian market at rock bottom prices. Even willing to do so on credit basis so long as "stories no enter" however past experience from sellers in Lagos and Benin have taught us to think otherwise.

We are not specialists in debt collection so will only do so when concrete arrangements are put in place to safeguard the return of our funds. Any ideas on how to do this will be highly welcome.

For those that require NEW Laptops, we can get your laptops(ANY QUANTITY) to you at competitive prices but 30% deposit must be made initially and the balance paid after collection in Lagos.
