Polystar as a brand has gained popularity in Nigeria because it is an indigenous brand, their products are cheap and we Naija people have a soft spot for cheap stuff.

And to be fair, they have some good quality products.
Be that as it may, this fridge has some selling points which include:

It uses pure copper coil for the evaporator. This is a true sign of quality and most freezer/ fridge experts believe that appliances that have copper coils instead of aluminum tend to last longer.

It’s true in a way. Although I’ve seen fridges with aluminum coils that last for several years too.

But the fact that this fridge has pure copper coils and is still more affordable than an LG fridge is a great selling point.

It cools very fast and the freezer compartment freezes fast too. Put stuff in this fridge and it would get chilled within an hour.....

There's no lie when I clearly stated in the the post that you need a set-top box for it. Anybody that read the post knew that they needed to get a TV box to make it smart.

Everything about the TV is transparently stated. To prove my point one reader even commented that he won't buy the TV because my review has shown that it's not what he needs.

Then to save yourself you've jumped from the OLED argument we were having to the TV's smart features.

I hate repeating myself but I wrote the review for a non technical audience.

There was no need for technical jargon. It's meant to show the benefits of using the TV. And all the important specs are listed there.

Also there was no need to state the model because it was a standalone flagship model. As I stated in the blog post, it was formed out of a partnership between Haier and Samsung.

But of course you didn't notice that because you were desperately looking for something to use to save face.

Your whole Smart Tv talk is pointless. Any sensible person knows what I did is a marketing ploy to introduce a set-top box in my post for promotion.

And it worked well.

Lastly, this review has sold 20 Tv units since 2018 when I wrote it.

I had to remove Jumia's link when a few readers complained to me that their units were developing lines.

That is provided you don’t open the freezer more than once or twice.



Apart from the fact that it doesn’t self-defrost, it also has the fast-freeze feature. I’ve noticed that it takes within one to one- and- half- hours to freeze foodstuff including the ones at the top.


And it freezes from the bottom to the top. Any Freezer enthusiast would understand how important this is.



Another impressive aspect of this Bruhm product is its easy clean feature.


The silver walls do not retain stains like blood stains from meat. There is no need to use sponges and soap when a wet foam would suffice.



Does This Freezer Guzzle Power?

This chest freezer has a power consumption rating of about 400w. Depending on your taste, this could be okay. But for a freezer I’ll say that it is pretty energy efficient.

Display

It’s got a crisp display. When I say crisp, I mean although it’s just an LED TV, it gives visuals similar to that of an OLED.



Considering the price, I find the display quite satisfactory. The display does not blur during fast moving scenes which shows that the TV has a great refresh rate.



Also the viewing angle is adequate for its size. You don’t notice any fading at the sides even if you watch from an angle.



Overall, I’ll give the Display 4.5 out of five stars. It doesn’t get five stars because it dims a bit when the current is low.


Although to be fair, this dimming is probably due to its power saving feature.

Sound
If you hope to pull your street down with sounds from this TV, I’ll advice you to get a stereo. The volume is not so loud.


That’s normal with flat screen TVs these days. There is no space for big speakers.

Also it has an auto volume leveler that helps to regulate the volume for safe hearing.


I once had a Sony TV that would start making a buzzing sound once you use it past a certain volume.



Naturally, this was one of the first things I checked for. This TV renders smooth sounds at any volume without delivering any annoying buzz.
