So Nigeria Air force can deploy jets to another country but cannot deploy same jets on the marauding terrorists having a field day in Nigeria?

There is nothing anybody wants to tell me, the government is complicit in the ongoing terrorism in this country.
Why do we have so many naive commentators on this platform?

They make spurious and uninformed comments on what they do not understand just to be the first to comment.

We are still bearing the consequences of the fall of Ghadafi Regime in far away Libya.

The porosity of Chad and Niger Republic is what makes fighting Boko Haram a very difficult challenge.

If we allow instability to fester in Benin Republic, the entire Lagos, Ogun, Kwara, Niger and Sokoto will bear the spill over effects.

When your neighbour's house is burning and you said it is none of your business, when the breeze spread forth the fire and your house catches same fire later, no one will come for your rescue.

It is in our long term interest to ensure stability in Benin Republic and the whole of West Africa

He truly deserves one.

Some couple of years back I have been on the same flight with Aliko Dangote. Though he was in the first class cabin.

He is a very humble guy.

Although I do not like his monopolistic style of business.

But i will still give him his flowers, especially with the risk he took building refinery and what he has suffered in the hands of the Subsidy Cabals.

Some people says he got grants, free dollars, good rate from CBN, Yes let us agree it is so, what about others who stole far more and took the monies abroad to develop other countries like Dubai and Europe.

Imagine what other aspects of our lives can be made better with all the stolen funds.

See what Dubai, Qatar and all these Arab countries have done with their own crude oil?

If he is the richest black man on earth, does he not deserve one?

We know pastors who have three or four

Unlike many celebrity, hod of men, and notorious politicians who cannot justify sustainable income from their personal sweat.

PoliticsRe: Atiku's Son, Shehu Asks Tinubu To Suspend Work On Lagos-Calabar Road by bayplus: 8:24am On Nov 28, 2025
Quest7777:
🤔
Still can't justify the rationale behind this very expensive Coastal Highway, when we can use a little fraction of the money to maintain the already existing roads linking Lagos to Calabar.
In as much as I am no fan of PBAT.

Let me give you an insight.

Those who argue that we should focus on the repair of the existing road network fail to realize that as we move everything by road, the existing road network will keep deteriorating faster within months of repairs. 1) Most of our road networks were poorly constructed abinitio,, you can see some of the roads already going bad before commisioning and the resources to fully re-construct them with quality materials is no longer available. Besides it makes more sense to decentralize the roads with new ones through a different routes.

Every truck going from 35states and Abuja from lagos must pass through Lagos -Ibadan Expressway way. No other road Corridor. And for nearly 50yrs. It has been the same.

How long can over-used road last? Especially with petroleum tankers frequent explosion leaving many of the roads in ruins.

While it is ok to repair the existing roads, we need to open new roads so the existing ones will not be over-used.

Imagine if those going through Many towns and villages along Lagos -Calabar highway and Badagry-Sokoto high way will boycott Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and use the alternatives being constructed.

This will free up traffic and make the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last longer.

Just imagine a family of 10 using one car, the driver will drop the husband to work, come back and take the wife also to work in a different direction, take 3 of the children to different school. Go back to to the wife to take her to Balogun market for shopping, go back and take each of the kids back home, do same.for the husband and when the driver complain the car is over-used and it is rapidly developing faults and the family needs to get additional car, everyone thinks fixing the fault is all that is required, forgetting that over-use will automatically shorten the life-span.

Have you wondered why commercial vehicle engines do not last as much as private ones?

My point here is.

Lagos -Ibadan Expressway was constructed in the 70's. About 50years ago , like most roads in Nigeria, when the population of Nigeria was about 60million, a truly developing country must add additional roads infrastructure to the existing ones every year.

It is myopic to assume that the construction of additional roads is unimportant for economic development of our country.

If anything, development of any town is usually followed after the road is opened.

I can understand opposition politicians condemning it because they see it as a plus or legacy for the incumbent and it is in their interest to condemn everything and anything so the people will have no reason to vote the incumbent.

But for discerning Nigerians, as many roads as the politicians are willing to contruct should be a welcome idea because if they do not use the money now, it may end up being stolen.

If Badagry to Sokoto highway or Lagos Calabar highway is abandoned now, there is no guarantee the money will be used for what some people consider "more important "

Therefore, is it not better to have these additional roads constructed to free up the over-used state of the existing roads?

Good morning Seun

Crime threads are being used for tribal bashing

Time something was done.
If it had been news of Awards or commendation, you will be happy?

This is a news reporting platform.

If it is true, it ought to be reported.

No need for emotional outburst.

I think it calls for concern.

May be certain tribe is more prominently featured in most of these crimes, but no single tribe is full of angels or demons. Every tribe also have the bad too.

The only problem I have is that, we will all get punished for the crimes committed by anyone carrying the green passport.

When you are abroad and you noticed some of these concerning activities of our brothers and sisters and you attempt to show them the danger those activities pose to our collective image, they are quick to tell you to "mind your own business ". That you were not responsible for their Visas and Tickets.

However we all get collectively punished one way or the other as a consequence.

Many countries are very critical of Nigerians based in all these feedbacks from their home government to tighten visa approval and put so many obstacles and conditions to the granting of Visa, just to sieve out the multitude of criminals looking for greener locations to expand their illegal and criminal business.

We condemn our government but we do the worst in our private lives.

We hate abide by the rules in Nigeria and we still wouldn't want to be a law abiding immigrants in other countries.

It is time for all of us to reflect and realise our individual and collective actions over the years brought Nigeria to what it is.

And if we want a truly better Nigeria, we all must be ready to protect and Nurture it. Tinubu, Obi, Atiku etc will come and go, Nigeria will become good or bad based on the activities of the 220million Nigerians not one man in Aso rock. Or 36 governors in the states.

Get that and know peace.

All these Sekf Acclaimed Miracle leaders may be worst.

Have you noticed that each time we have a new leadercor president, things tend to get worst instead of getting better?

Reflect on why?

Because it is not about them, it is about us.

I wonder how old you are? Prof. Went to jail in the past over his support for the South-East.

Many of you are using the same playbook all the time, if he is not supporting us and criticizing our opponents, he is a bigot. What are you?

Just because you have not much doing and free data does not give you the right to insult people who have paid their dues and are globally recognized as Icons.

What you all do not realise is that when you insult those who God has Chosen to elevate, you further diminish yourselves. Does Prof Soyinka know you exist?

What is his offense? Not criticizing Tinubu, same thing they are doing to Rev Father Kukah. These people have paid their dues and need to rest, time to start new sets of activists. Sowore who by the way is also Yoruba is inviting you all to come out and join him, why leave it for 94year and 74yr old men to criticize publicly for you just to make you feel happy?

What you all lack in wisdom is that public criticism is unnecessary if you can do it privately with people involved and if they do not buy your idea, you chose your next move either to give them more time to prove you right or wrong or you ignore or criticize publicly if you think it will have impact. Only a fool criticise for attention sake.

RomanceRe: If You Can’t Tolerate Them, Don’t Marry Them by bayplus: 2:46pm On Oct 08, 2025
Dpsychologist:
Marriage isn’t a battlefield. It’s not a place to test how much pain, anger, or revenge a human heart can endure. Yet, every other week, we wake up to horrifying news — a wife who poisoned her husband, a husband who beat his wife to death, or couples who set each other ablaze in moments of rage.

Recently there is a news of a woman who is alleged to have set her husband ablaze after an argument. Whether this is later confirmed to be true or not, a life has been lost.

No matter the offence, no one deserves to die in the name of marriage. If a partner becomes unbearable, walk away. Separation — though painful — is always better than a prison sentence or a graveyard visit.

We must start telling ourselves the truth:
👉 If you can’t tolerate his attitude, don’t marry him.
👉 If you can’t respect her when she’s angry, don’t marry her.
👉 If you can’t handle the storms of communication, ego, or financial strain, stay single until you can.

Marriage doesn’t fix temperaments — it exposes them. Love alone isn’t enough; patience, emotional maturity, forgiveness, and self-control are the silent pillars that keep a home standing when love starts to wobble.

Too many people are getting married for the wrong reasons — pressure, loneliness, lust, or societal expectations. Then when reality hits, frustration replaces affection, and resentment breeds violence.

Let’s normalize choosing peace over pretense. It’s not weakness to walk away from what drains you. It’s strength.

So please — before you say “I do,” ask yourself:

>“Can I truly live with this person’s flaws without turning into a monster myself?”

If the honest answer is no, then don’t do it. It’s better to be single and sane than married and murderous.

What do you think — is intolerance or poor emotional management the bigger cause of domestic violence today?
:
👉 If you can’t tolerate his attitude, don’t marry him.
👉 If you can’t respect her when she’s angry, don’t marry her.

The two recommendations above is inconsistent.

You advise that if a woman cannot tolerate a man's attitude, she should not marry him. Right?

But your second sentence speaks volumes.

But for the man

If you cannot respect her when she is angry, do not marry her. How do you respect an angry woman who cannot control her anger.

I expected you to point out that if she cannot manage her anger, walk away from her.

May be Lt Samason Haruna died because he was trying to "respect her anger" and she took it to another level while he was asleep.

This is why sometimes you need madness to cure madness.

If you allow people with poor anger management to run wild without any resistance, they go haywire. This is the result.

Imagine if it was the man who did this.

The whole women civil organizations and feminist world would have descended on the man.

Even Former President Obasanjo, who is arguably one of the most prominent and successful yoruba leader still alive has prostrated for the new Olubadan and many more Kings including Olu of Warri.

This is what we talk about. Running down our dear country ourselves. Especially now in the social media.

You and i are directly or indirectly part of the problem.

The members of Nigerian Police Force are are from every religion and every part of Nigeria.

The politicians are all from all religious and tribal divides.

The Civil Servants are part of the society. The man who sells fake spare parts, drugs, yahoo, ritual killing, bandits are all largely Nigerians, some of them are on nairaland criticizing govt and others but they are Saint.

This "We" Vs "They" is why we remain undeveloped. Everyone thinks it is ok once they are fine. "Me, myself and I" mentality.

We see what is wrong with other tribes, regions and religions but we are perfect. The rest are the problem not us.

When we all decide to change for the better and A yoruba man will see an igbo or hausa/fulani, Ijaw etc as his true brother and will do everythingto protect him, includingnot selling fake products, kidnapping etc to hurt him, Nigeria will be much better, not much that any govt can do for a people determined to hate on each other, no true Nigerian benefits from the destruction of this country except the politicians and the foreigners who exploit our divisions to cart away our resources.

And ask many abroad, how much progress they have made struggling out there. Less than 20% have good stories to tell about life abroad.

Many will gladly return home if things were slightly better and some are already coming back home.

Some of us are doing our bits to make the country a better place for our future generations.

Be the change you want to see.

No single or multitude of politicians can change the country without us all ready to change. It is the job of the 230m Nigerians to fix the problems not one old man.
PoliticsRe: Ndidi Edeoghon Disputes Tinubu's Claim Of "No Corruption In Nigeria" With Data by bayplus: 1:56pm On Aug 30, 2025
Leboska:
It's funny how corruption itself is saying corruption doesn't exist again in Nigeria why he, himself whom is the epitome of corruption is the presidiot.
Nigerians are the major problem of the Nigeria. When we de-market our country for political gains and to make our preferred candidate look better as an alternative which may or may not be true, we are all going to suffer from it.

I am no fan of Tinubu, but we need to make the distinction between hating a particular president and destroying the image of our country to feel better.

Most of these politicians have two passports, three passports, the regular passport that you and I use while we travel, the diplomatic passport, while in office and the 2nd citizen passport of respected western world like US, UK, Canada etc.

The first passport, which is regular is the only one that gets destroyed when we run our country down.

No country in the world is free of corruption because it lives in human greed which an average nigerian has in abundant.

No president on earth can single handedly fight corruption. And it is naive for anyone to believe a president how well intentioned he may be, can reduce or eliminate it with a wave of hand.

When we are rubbished with our passport outside the country, we complain to high heavens but we forget that everything we say about our country on the social media is read by global audience and the ripple effects lives far beyond our comprehension.

Nigeria is a beautiful country, and in my lifetime, it will be a country the world wants to visit and apply its citizen.

It may shock you to know that as bad as some ignorant nigerians paint Nigeria, Chinese, Lebanese, indians, Europeans and Americans citizens are applying to be Nigerian citizens.

With all our challenges, life is still much easier here than in most part of the world, even better than our neighboring countries.

Yes we do not have steady electricity but cost of living outside is crazier!

Corruption is a societal thing. 98% of those commenting here probably have been involves in one form of corruption or the other either as a giver or receiver. It is rampant these days, it dis not start yesterday and it will not end today.

In most private and govt institutions, you will not get paid if some people do not get a cut. Ordinary gateman, will frustrate you with excessive greetings just to get money off you.

Sitting behind the keyboard to put everything on Tinubu is unfair, he may not be doing enough but we all need to change our orientation about materials wealth, especially with the Gen Z generation of now now, no patience, no dignity in labour, no value addition, just want money at all cost.

Greed is the root of the corruption in Nigeria. And it speaks to all of us. Nigeria is made up of 230million Nigerians and whatever the 230million people do will affect our image, regardless of who is the president.

Let us be the change we want to see in our country. Peace!!

The performing governor of plateau state is not moving anywhere.
He have turned plateau state into a construction 🚧 site.
Workers are smiling, farmers are smiling as they where given fertiliser and other farm imput/implements. pensioners are smiling, as they are paid their pension as and when due,and
about 20 years of gratuity backlog almost cleared. families of deceased civil servants are smiling as he's paying death benefits.
The rate at which he's quietly 🤫 commissioning strategic projects is satisfying.
He recently approved another 17 new ones(projects) and work is going on at a very fast pace.
What he has done ✔️ in 2 years, Simon lalong didn't do in 8 years.
I mean everything I said.
The legacy projects which are a signature white elephant projects, where abandoned by lalong himself after spending about 38 billion naira without something to show for it.
Lalong really messed up the state in his second tenure.
This man(mutfwang) came and started with construction and palliative of township roads and fixed all abandoned and new strategic road networks and slowly going into the villages.
Now the LGCs are now having their share of construction of rural roads at a massive level.
At the rate at which he's going, any candidate present by the APC will lose the election before 10 AM.
All these projects are now possible because the state are getting three times more allocation from federation Account because of the Fuel Subsidy removal and Forex Unification.

Many forget so soon, up till 2yrs ago, from 2010/2011, many states were practically bankrupt.. They could not pay salaries, much less embark on capital projects, pensioners were not even paid a dime for years. Because there was simply no money coming to share and these states couldn't generate reasonable revenue internally.

Even though the masses are suffering as a consequence of these Fuel subsidy and floating of naira, the governors have been the major beneficiaries.

So, many of them are defecting because they know that joining the ruling party will get them closer to Aso Rock.

The truth may be bitter, many who do not want them to defect will still complain if they do not construct roads, hospitals, and so on.

It is like a wife, who is complaining that her husband work too much and doesn't give much time for the family, if the man stays at home and give her the 24hrs, she will complain he is not giving her enough money again, and you need the same time she wants to make the money she also wants.

Until you become a governor, you may never know what you can do.

Too many moral police on social media, they know and judge everyone else but themselves.

His army chiefs complained to him about diezanis over bearing influence, breaking protocols at the villa- he did nothing. His voice is so loud now about what good governance should be and Nigerinas are listening to him.
- this also includes my favorite Nigerian President of all time, the greatest Aremu Okikiola Olusegun Obasanjo talking about electoral systems reforms and how people should take their country into their hands and defend their votes. Baba, you did not allow votes to count, when you had the power to do that. Baba you made people write resignation letters under duress and many more
Aregbeshola is now in opposition talking about good governance.

, Even Obasanjo is still talking about what Nigeria need to do right.. True federalism etc. After being military and civilian head of stare., Obasanjo now want more powers for the states. All the good ideas to move Nigeria forward is now bustling in his brain.

Very soon, Mele Kyari will write an article in the major news papers on how NNPC can be like ARAMCO of Saudi Arabia.

Nigeria is a country full of deceitful leaders. Tinubu criticized every borrowing from PDP govt, now he alone wants to borrow about $24billion dollars at once, this year.

That is why I am worried President Obi may not be different. His years as a state governor doesn't show he is different from the rest of political class. For Campaign purposes, he is telling us we should move from Consumption to production, yet he is a major importer of different goods in Nigeria. Which means he is practicing opposite of what he is preaching just to deceive the gullibles.
I assess people on their past actions not what they say. Action speaks louder than voice or rhetoric.

There is no justification for exposing kids of 16yrs to travel across to another state in an obscured location just to attend JAMB CBT test. Prof Oloyede (JAMB REGISTRAR) is a very responsible and honest fellow, he really need to address these twin Issue of asking kids to do Jamb exam at 6:30am and also all the way in other state.

What I suspect is that many of these hinterland Centers with scanty candidates may be bribing JAMB officials to post more candidates to their centers.

And these cruel JAMB officials may be more interested in the money than the implications of posting kids to attend Exam in an unknown yet very far locations and at

6:30am is odd and like I said, the Centets are interested in making high profit, instead of the first batch of candidates starting at 9:00am, they want to fix some additional batches early to make more money.

So, in the final analysis, Prof. Oloyede needs to intervene and insist no exam should be fixed below 9am and no candidate should be posted beyond 2km away from his or her residence.

I encourage women to enjoy and experience motherhood. Now, if the govt at all level is not intentional about helping nursing mothers with day care. And support, is it the struggling small and micro businesses that will offer 6months leave and pay?

What can make a woman leave a man and still want to sleep with him to the extent of wanting to have more babies with him?

Is she targeting all his wealth in the name of child support? How can she be comfortable with him fathering her children but not comfortable to live with him in marriage?

How can she see him as a good father but sees him as a bad husband? A good father can never be a bad husband, the same way a good husband can never be a bad father. So, she has not said what is in her mind.
She has said it, perhaps you failed to read in between the lines.

She wants more freedom. She wants to eat her cake and still have it.

She wants babies fathered by a responsible father but wants ti leave like single.

She is not necessarily doing it doesn't money. In Yoruba culture,, it is shameful to have kids from multiple men,, so She wants to keep the fertilization semens from a single source but free to receive inconsequential semens across the world. They call it freedom and women's liberation. Like Trump will say "Liberation day"

Our man Dino Ferrari Malaye loves to show off his stolen wealth and the proceeds of his drug deals arising from his long time association with criminals like jailed scammer Hush Crappy who will likely die in a Los Angeles prison.

Hopefully, Nigeria's kidnapper cartels are studying Dino carefully to understand his vulnerabilities and thus better plan their abduction effectively to apprehend that arrogant and boastful embezler of public funds.
Let us not wish him bad, displaying Opulence in the midst of hunger by the same people who plunged Nigeria into economic downturn deserve our hate but when they go so shamelessly low as Dino Melaye does very often.

We should pity him, he is not getting younger, so where will he go with all his Ferrari and Mansions?

In the final analysis, no one will leave this world alive and with anything.
So I ask, who is he building the mansions for? His kids? Family and Friends? Or Concubines? How old is he now?

Wise men leave legacy of selfless service building schools, hospitals, Sponsoring less privileged childrento school in their communities.

But Fools show legacy of material wealth that will decay in less than a decade.

Hello Everyone, I’m a 400 level student over here, and all my life in uni till my 4th year, have tried to sort out and look for universities abroad that is quite favorable for one to have a master degree in any Food science/technology relating course. Please Food scientist/technologist or anyone who has idea, should please enlighten me. Any country/ university you feel is best to do your masters degree as a food scientist/technologist student.
Please help me!!! And also, if you can tell me their enquiries like for the CGPA and exams you’ll write for scholarships to school in such uni in that country 🙏
@400level

You can do so much research on your own, this feeding bottle mentality.

Artificial intelligence, Google, And many more are there just your phone keyboard away, you can even research universities offering masters scholarships for food science and biotechnology.

Education is supposed to open your mind to unlimited possibilities, not waiting for others to give you free valuable information.

And this applies to every nigerian blaming govt for everything, opportunities hide in problems, if you do your extensive research on different universities home and abroad, available courses and courses with partial or full scholarships, you can turn it into ebooks and you can be sure Nigerians will buy.

Because it will be a ready solution to people like you.

Therefore, you have enough tools at your disposal to achieve your result, get busy.

All the best

We do not need to be mean to people especially when they are dead.

It is unAfrican, when we talk down on the dead this way, it shows we are not truly different from them.

Whatever her father may have done, shouldn't be her liability.

If any of you ranting here were born in the same circumstance, would you reject the good life and opt for suffering?

While I agree 100% that her father and other politicians in Nigeria have failed us, our major problem is our disunity.

We spend all the valuable time online insulting each other’s tribe all to support or condemn politicians who care less about all of us,

Fela has said it, that when my people are ready to liberate themselves, there will be no progress for Blackman.

When I reflect on the attitude of an average nigerian to his fellow Nigerians, I doubt if we can get out of the woods.

Any set of people who priotize self comfort over every others will not make progress.

While we have had terrible leaders back to back, Nigerians are ready to destroy their country for money. No single leader can change Nigeria if we don't change our orientation too

All the stolen wealth and ill gotten connect couldn't save her when Mr. death came calling If only the father knew she will follow him shortly maybe he would have treated the good people of OYO better. Somebody should alert Thiefunubu. I got no RIP to waste the father was part of the problem.

[quote author=Malawian post=134461362]Lets talk about how much she earns even as a cleaner. [/quote

In what currency?

UK pounds?
Ghana Cedis or Nigeria naira?

But where does she lives? Where she lives is where 90% of her money will go.

I see a lot of comments borne out ignorance.

No country is perfect or safer. Not even UK or US.

The same Ghana/ Nigeria that many are rushing out of, many are building their mansions with legitimate earnings without government connections.

The problem with many Africans are mindset, the rise of social media has been positive and negative.

Many are earning foreign exchange working remotely.

If you are not fully in control of your mind and you believe in all you see on social media about traveling abroad without concrete plan, selling all you have to relocate, then welcome to slavery 2.0. Desperation doesn't guarantee anything. Many you think are doing well are in deplorable condition, many are in prison or dead.

If you have been abroad, you will know things are not rossi anymore even for their own citizens.

Going abroad is not a bad idea, especially if you have it figured out.
