Of course. That's what they did. Removal of fuel subsidy was important in 2012. It was when subsidy should have been removed.

Tinubu, the parties that would later become the APC, the NLC, etc mobilized to protest against the pertinent economic policy that was designed to reduce Nigeria's debt burden and channel decent allocation of resources to sectors of the economy that can hasten our development as a nation.

It is the very problem of democracy. The opposition does not protest because the policy will be bad for the Nation. They protest and counter genuine and wonderful policies to make citizens hate the incumbent government while planning to utilize the distrust in the next elections.

We can't remain stagnant because of politics. Tinubu was wrong in 2012 to lead the protest against the removal of subsidy. Today's opposition cannot do the wrong thing because Tinubu did it back then.

We're headed towards Venezuela's destination and things will get worse in the next 4 years if fuel subsidy doesn't go completely.

The way Ganduje dethroned Sanusi and chased him out of town showed that politicians have totally destroyed everything we hold dear, including our once revered traditional institutions.

IMO, Sanusi would have made a better political leader than traditional leader. Nigeria's north needs enlightened and intelligent leaders - like Sanusi who unapologetically loves education - to drive its growth and development.
