Q12. In an aptitude test conducted, four centres were provided, the candidates would sit for the test in six batches. Each candidate would have to under go biometric capture, which would last for two minutes. At each centre three biometric capture machines were provided. After each batch, 30mins were allocated for the biometrics of next batch.
How many candidates were invited for the test, if the test would run concurrently for 6 days?

Please show your working.

@policy12, I guess they are asking for the Mean(Statistics). Having 3 persons for ratio 24:6:12. That will be 24+6+12 = 42. Then 42/3 = 14. Hence, the 3 persons will complete the assignment in 14 days, together.

I was sent a mail and invited to abuja for the aptitude test on the 25th I screenshot the mail but mistakenly deleted it permanently without getting further information. I'll like to know if there's anything else I'll have to get for from the mail in preparation for the exam. thanks

Assume they all take turns shaking each other.

1st person out of the 12 will shake 11 persons minus himself(12-1).
2nd person out of the remaining 11 will shake 10 persons since he already shook the 1st person.
The 3rd person will then shake 9 persons since he already shook the 1st and 2nd person.
The 4th person shakes 8 persons excluding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd since he already shook them.
This goes on until the 12th person who has already shook the hands of the 11 by this time.

If u sum the number of handshakes according to the order explained above. It becomes 11+10+9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1+0=66.

lol i actually solved it this way, nw i understand how i came about mine...its something about progression( arithmetic or geometric undecided

"To perform well in a group exercise it helps to know what the assessor is looking for. It's worth saying straight away that they probably are not looking for someone who dominates proceedings. Many candidates at an assessment centre fall into the trap of wanting to own the conversation and speak for the longest, regardless of the quality of their contribution. This will not get you many marks. In fact you will get a lot more marks by tactfully getting these type of people to shut up grin

for a minute and let others contribute.

In most group exercises, the candidates are deliberately not assigned a particular role. This is done to see who naturally is a leader, a facilitator, an ideas generator, etc. Remember that the assessors are not looking for the person who shouts the loudest, or talks the most. The type of behaviour they are looking for will depend on what competencies the company has decided are important. Think of a valuable point to make, make it, and avoid being either the loud and shouty one or the quiet and subservient one. make sure you stick to your role and try to negotiate the best outcome for your character. At some point in the real job you will inevitably have to fight for a view not necessarily held by you. This assessment centre exercise is designed to measure how good you are at this.

Whilst marks are available for teamworking skills, lots of marks are awarded for contributing genuinely good ideas to the discussion. Think of a good point and make it" copied wink
