Although am not a teacher of the word but Let me give you a live example.

I have a friend, he's from a Muslim home. when his sister was about to get married, he married a Christian and converted to a Christian. Later, his mum also converted and started going to church.
Now he remained the only Muslim among them (I don't know his father) and a core one to say.

After the convention of his mother and sister, there was division between them, he believed they are in darkness and he in light.

There was to be a wide publication of the gospel. But before that took place, Christ had a baptism to be baptized with, far different from that of water and the Holy Spirit. He must endure sufferings and death. It agreed not with his plan to preach the gospel more widely, till this baptism was completed. (verses 50)

Reading from verse 41-53, what the verse is saying is that
"We should be zealous in making known the truth, for though divisions will be stirred up, and a man's own household may be his foes, yet sinners will be converted, and God will be glorified."

Also, on the remaining 2 verses you quoted, if what you're thinking is what Jesus was saying, now point to where anyone was slaughtered because of Jesus in the scripture or where Christ or His disciples use physical sword.

They are parables that needs wisdom and knowledge from the Holy Spirit to interprete.

As I passed through the lawn of a beautiful garden very close to my colony, I was drawn towards the decoration at the top edge of the exit gate of the garden. The colours were all in green and white. This turned me conscious of the smell of Nigeria Independence Day. And right there, I was brought to a halt by a smile. I decided to taste the sweetness of the colours then I began a quick diagnosis on the meaning of the national flag. Anyone can make any kind of flag for any occasion or reason, but
necessarily it is a display of ideas, thoughts and intentions which would otherwise take many words to convey. It is a code of honour and dignity understood only by a specific group of people who stand for the same values and beliefs. It is a symbol of unity, a usual representation of a Nation’s
true essence and uniqueness. It brings an effulgence of reminder of the values and history of a country.

Nigeria’s national flag is a vertical bicolour tri-band of green, white and green. The two green stripes represent natural resources, wealth and richness and the white band stands for peace.

From this basic representation, green signifies productivity, Nigeria is a “blessed beyond measure” country, a land flowing with milk and honey, a land of productivity, a land that gives her fruits in her season, Nigeria is not a nation that siphons effort, neither does it allow toiling in vain, barrenness is
not in her nature. Nigeria is a nation of great yield.

The white represents peace. A wise man once said “better is a dry crust with peace and quietness than a house full of feasting with strife”. Peace is a factor inexpressible but yet felt expressly. There is nothing better than living in peace, an environment where orderliness is the dictate of the day, a place where serenity can unite people of
varying perception even more than streams of blood. Even the creator of the universe dwells in peace.

Nigeria we hail thee! Howbeit, the true essence of a country is not just defined by what it is but what it should be. Listening to the echoes behind these colours, it is high time we arose to the
reality of what they stand for, letting it permeate various territories, mindsets and beliefs of the nation so that they can be upheld. This is the only way we can stop talking about the glory of the past, and walk in the present reality of true freedom and liberation.

Gathering about the scattered plots of my thought, I came to the conclusion that the first day of October is not just a day of reminder of independence from slavery and colonial rule, but a day to define more how close we are to true freedom.

Freedom was the only voice heard

The green and white flag

Singing the anthem,

Freedom! Freedom!! Freedom!!!

was the song.



Free in our kingdom. Freedom!

No longer a slave to anybody

Hope of a great nation on the horizon.



Kudos to the Heroes

Kudos to the Heroines

Who despised and placed their lives on the line.



The freedom is here!

But our kingdom is never tired of war

Neither is it free of the pang of tear.

Free from the external oppression

But still a slave to the internal oppressors

Where is our freedom? To this, no answer!



The drum of hatred sounds louder every moment

Our unity enjoys distance every minutes

And the joy once celebrated now turning to a history.



The rolling heads testified against the past

The bigotry and hate speeches sparks the fire

This country is shaking

Now, there is a call for another freedom

Which calls for a question,

“Are we free in the first place?”

This is the only question we cannot but ask.



The unborn children are afraid to come to our world

Wishing death in the womb

If only the creator will be merciful to their cries



The story of woe

The gathering of the foes

Altogether want to turn down this boat.



We have crossed many bridges

The one ahead is about to be blown away

But must we destroy what cost lives to be built?



We have fought

We have disagreed

But we can always put aside our differences.


Let’s meet anger with sympathy

Hatred with Compassion

Cruelty with kindness.



Let’s not forget that the drum of war is easy to beat

But its rhythms are difficult to dance

We may see its beginning but not live to see its end


This country is not standing

Turbulent winds are against her

She might not survive.



Yet, she can survive!

We can breathe hope into her

We can once again rekindle the dying hope.



Words can break our peace

Enmity can burn our land

If we don’t back out, we may end in a ruin.



We must play our part

At every level of our endeavour

To uphold and reinforce the crumbling wall of our unity.



Let righteousness be our song

Justice, what we stand for.

And peace, what we embrace and preach!

After this darkest moment will come the light!


Hope is rising

Because you are one of the Hope of this country!

Africans make me laugh.... What a beautiful car, but what a clueless man with a true plan.

He said he needs assistance from the government to go for further training and then do what....

If I were him, I would take this video Innoson Motors and show them as proof of what I can do and ask for a position.. either as an IT or a worker (unpaid is good enough)... That way I can start with something and then develop over the next years if I am so good.. Then that way I can either go for higher position like working for Toyota, Hyundai and then some years later build my own car company.

Now that is how true men plan with their talents and not waiting on the government.
