I used to, but not until I studied all the interview threads on nairaland, and prepared my cv very well and prepared my answers to all the questions, memorized everything, then went for diamond bank interview. Guess what, I passed and am now a diamond bank staff.

That was then before Internet came and spoilt everything. I remember then we use to have pen pals, we post letters to pals as far as Lagos and port Harcourt from kano. But now, social media has killed the suspense and the butterfly feelings u feel wen trying to read a love letter reply.

Stop deceiving yourself. Connection only works in government jobs where u do literally nothing. But in the private sector where Ur competence and performance is the basis for judgement on the job by your superior, u will struggle if u get the job Tru connection and u were not qualified for. Truth is most companies now go for competence instead of connection.
Btw I got a job with Diamond bank, not Tru connection but Tru the right way, I proved my Wirth during the interviews, and my cv did half of the job.
So take every thread on nairaland about cv writing very seriously. It will help u. Stop waiting for connection, work on urself.
