36-year-old Nigerian man, Igwe Francis died under mysterious circumstances, moments after he got into a scuffle with his former landlord, in southwest Delhi’s Uttam Nagar, on January 6th, 2017. Francis reportedly got into an argument with his former landlord, Liaquat Ali, who claimed he owed him Rs 30,000 in rent.


According to the Police, since Francis was not fluent in English, Ali wrote the figure “30,000” on a signboard at the spot.

The two then got into a scuffle, following which Francis tried to run away. But after running 200 metres, he collapsed on the road, police said, citing eyewitnesses. He was rushed to a hospital nearby, but it didn’t have life-saving equipment. Francis was then taken to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. DCP (southwest) Surender Kumar said initial investigation revealed Francis had bruises on his body.
"As per the initial report doctors gave us, he had an injury on the back of his head. We are yet to establish if he hurt himself or if he was beaten up. We have questioned at least 25 people, but none of them said he was beaten up. We are conducting a thorough investigation," said the DCP.
He said the Ministry of External Affairs has been informed about the incident. Ali is being questioned and investigation will be complete within 30 days, Kumar said. Police sources said a case was filed after the medical report revealed a head injury.

On January 8, Ali was booked under IPC Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).

The case was filed on the basis of a complaint by the victim’s brother, whom he called minutes before he collapsed.

According to the FIR, Francis said over the phone that he was "being attacked". The brother, who did not wish to be named, said,
"I received a call from him that his previous landlord was harassing him. He called me again saying he was being attacked and needed my help. A few minutes later, when I arrived, I found him lying unconscious on the road."
He alleged that Francis was dragged inside a garage and beaten up by three people.
"He managed to escape but collapsed on the road," he said.

It’s was a beautiful afternoon i went on set. after changing up for the shoot I saw a strange woman Whom other people called mad woman, I felt pained in my heart and couldn’t stand to see how famished she was. dint even know what gave me the courage to approach her. At first I was scared for her not to rush me but when I got closer to her she calm down immediately Then I sat close to her even tho I was still scared.
So I asked her if she had eaten anything she dint answer me she was just staring At me.

I gave her some money she refused to collect it but she later did and put the money on her toe. then I told her to go get something to eat but she still dint answer she was just staring At me. I had to stand up for my shoot and said to her ‘I am going for a shoot I would see you before going home’ Immediately she stood up and followed me.

I was surprised but that was the time I understood the purpose of this lady. I had to feature her on the shoot. before I left the location i saw this beautiful lady she was stronger and more better. she almost cried cause I was leaving. Maybe she had not gotten the chance to sit with anybody for years talkless of to be cared for.

I want to use this opportunity to tell you today that you shouldn’t miss the chance to make people happy. Go out and dispense hope, love and joy. Be a light to the world.

Mercy Aigbe has finally spoken her decision not to show up at the Best Of Nollywood Awards, she was meant to co-host with ace comedian, Okey Bakassi.

With many believing she opted out at the last minute due to her inability to speak English fluently, Mercy has finally addressed the rumors.


Speaking with Saturday Beats, she said:

I would not speak on why I was not at BON awards or why I did not host the event. I don’t care about what anybody says. If they say my spoken English is not fluent, that is their business. I do not speak fluently yet I have hosted various awards including the City People awards. People have watched my interviews on television and they listen to me speak on my social media accounts.

A die hard waconzy fan took his love for waconzy to a whole new level by carving out the singers face on his haircut. A single glance at the hair cut, one would guess its waconzy staring right back. It is cool I must say.

The level at which some fans take their fanatism for their idols. It is not really something new in Nigeria as a lot of fans have done even more extreme things for their favourite celebrities.
