Few of the students who are on campus have come out to express their displeasure and promise to mobilize student to use the last C of Aluta in which they think that would solve the lingering strike if the management failed to adhere to their plea.

The Muslim Student Society of Nigeria Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Chapter (MSSN FUNAAB) wrote an open letter to the school management on how their is infringement on student right.

In an open letter E-signed by the chapter Amir, RAFIU ABDUL-AZEEZ and the General Secretary, BABALOLA MARRUFDEEN;

"MSSN FUNAAB has been impulsed to a seeming trend of disregard to silence-patted infringements of Muslim students' rights, in a manner in which remorselessness is apparent.


Once again, Muslim students were denied the right to worship in the hours of Jumu'ah (1PM – 2PM), which is statutorily the university break, in the name of a practical; *ABE 222* in a supposed Lecture Free Week.
The collocation of these occurrences sends a message of an uninformed status of its 'legitimacy' in the supposed reality of its outright 'illegitimacy'.

"The hours of the practical proven illegitimate as it falls within;
• The University Break (1pm-2pm)

• The Lecture Free week

• Allocated Hours of worship for Muslim students (Jumu'ah)

"However, MSSN FUNAAB stands fiercely against such intimidation and provocation. It is disheartening that the perpetrator mustered unthinkable courage, using unprintable names at our attempt at mediation.

"In an attempt to reach a compromise, Ambassadors of MSSN FUNAAB in the words of the lecturer were regarded as 'FANATICS', challenged to a physical duel outside school premises by the lecturer in charge.

Consequently, we demand that the said practical be unconditionally canceled,
and 'NO CONSEQUENCE' whatsoever should befall absentees from the practical.

Furthermore, we demand our deserving apology in this regard and a re-assurance of the University's commitment to respecting the rights to freedom of religion henceforth.

"While we remain law-abiding and advocate that, we assure all our members and the Muslim community at large of our staunch commitment to standing for the UMMAH through all thick and thin.
