Miami witnessed a peculiar sensation as Police were seen kneeling down for protesters.

This gesture is coming as an apology for the death of George Floyd. It also served as a demonstration of the cops' commitment to ending police brutality in America.



The Death of George Floyd has sparked renewed interest on the subject of racism. 

George Floyd was murdered by a White policeman who pinned him on his neck with his knee. He continuously pleaded for breath before he died.

His death recalled the murder of other black men such as Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, among others.

As a result, there have been massive protests around the US cities such as Louisville, Minneapolis, Georgia among others.

In the manner which the White Cop was killed, that is, by kneeling on Floyd's neck, Miami Police knelt in a similar manner to plead to the protesters. They also went ahead to hug the protesters.



Other cops were seen carrying banners bearing inscriptions such as "end police brutality now".



This is a commendable display and it portrays the American police as a very intelligent organization.

African police force can also emulate such noble acts in times when the actions of a member of the force destroys the reputation of the police force.

A court sitting in kano have on Thursday 30th April nullified the creation of Emirates Governor Ganduje Established 8th of May 2019 when he came into office for his 2nd tenure as governor of kano state and sack the emirs who were appointed to sit on the thrones of the established Emirates.

It was believed that gov ganduja created the four Emirates in a quest to deal with the then emir of kano emir sanusi lamido sanusi who have consistently spoken out in criticism of the state government's corrupt ways, sanusi was also an out spoken supporter of the PDP candidate in 2019 election which governor Ganduje emerged the winner though the election was marked with violence and rigging.

Governor Ganduje have a reputation for lack of forgiveness, which he immediately created the four Kano Emirates in a bid to weaken emir sanusi's power, Ganduje in a further quest to humiliate the Emir of Kano, supervised the forceful removal of the Emir in what is seen to be a most unfortunate situation triggered by mere personal sentiments.



With the exit of Emir Sanusi who was exiled to Nasarawa State, the case in court against the establishment of the four new Emirates by the Governor of Kano State did not end. The court case which lasted for Months did not get a final judgement until Thursday 30th April 2020 when a High Court sitting in Kano State delivered a verdict on the case.

While delivering the Judgement on Thursday in Kano, Justice Usman Na'aba stated that the the creation of the Emirates and the appointment of the Emirs was illegal and unacceptable.



The case against the creation of the Emirates was put forward by Muhammad Nasir a former House of Assembly member against the Kano State Government.

A Kano High Court has nullified the appointment of four new emirs upgraded to the status of first-class emirs by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Subsequently, the court invalidated and ordered the immediate dissolution of their emirate councils established alongside the emir’s appointment.

The emirs are Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero; emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar; emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar and Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Governor Ganduje appointed the four emirs as first-class chiefs and upgraded their domain into emirate councils, a deliberate attempt to decimate Emir of Kano Mohmmadu Sanusi.

Prior to the appointment of the new emirs, Kano state government had sent an executive bill for the amendment of Kano state chieftaincy law to the state assembly.

In his ruling presiding Judge, Justice Usman Na’Abba insisted the additional four emirates and their first-class emirs created by Kano State Government were not properly constituted and thereby render invalid.

Justice Usman also ruled that the Kano State House of Assembly had violated the provision of Section 101 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), which allows the assembly to make laws, insisted the law creating the emirates were null and void.
