You have had the truth dished out. Now you want me removed. FYI, the moderator visited this thread today. And he rightly decided to leave me alone. I'm on point and I'm relevant.

souldust: if all you have put up here is SAs superior in SADC, then i still maintain my stance that we are more powerful in ECOWAS than you are in SADC. I'm tooo lazy to type now but i promise i will let you know. Just a bit of info, the naira is acepted in benin rep and togo. I just asked my room mate who does business along that axis any time we are on holiday
South Africa wants a stable SADC. We don't care to be the most powerful. See, your attitude regarding ECOWAS and your position in it explains everything that is wrong with Nigeria's thinking.

That's why you are prepared to sell out. All you want is to come up top.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 9:41pm On Jun 28, 2013
drag_on: @bcraig and was the Governor still pardoned? so do you think we give a damn? lol. stop this it is pointless.
You're the one going down a pointless argument. This has nothing to do with the governor. It has everything to do with your so-called great military being:

1. A burden to Nigeria. So much so that you need tons of Aid to sustain yourselves;

2. Buttressed by the US, because clearly you people aren't capable of doing anything on your own; and

3. Your foreign policy not entitling you to say anything about saving Africa. You have sold Africa out with your puppetting; and need saving yourselves.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 9:38pm On Jun 28, 2013
drag_on: @craig amazing but not suprising that you are rambling,You deduced all that from the video?Lol i will leave you to the readers. The truth is that you inducing stuff into the video.i will free the tread for other who know this is a pointless deabate.
English, sir. English.

The video reaffirms what my links show and what we all know. You can't argue with facts.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 9:23pm On Jun 28, 2013
drag_on: @ bcraig you say we sell out,if we do then you as well. And you have not said what we sold out for the Aid.Answer me or i stop this aimless argument.Tell us what the video said, in your own words.
The video reaffirms that you are owned. You can't stand on your own two feet. Your military is buttressed by foreign nations (i.e. US). You go hungry to buy guns. You try to please the West. You are disrespected by the very same West because you have no backbone. Enough aim?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 9:18pm On Jun 28, 2013

Clear as day:

Nigeria gets more US AIDS than any country in sub-saharan Africa, save for Ethiopia. See below:

______

http://saharareporters.com/news-page/us-threatens-cut-aid-nigeria-over-corruption-issues-thehill

The Obama administration on Friday threatened to cut off aid to Nigeria or even sanction the African country after the government of President Goodluck Jonathan pardoned a former governor accused of corruption.

“The United States government is deeply disappointed over the recent pardons of corrupt officials by the Nigerian government,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said. “We see this as a setback for the fight against corruption and also for our ability to play the strong role we've played in supporting rule of law and legal institution building in Nigeria, which is very important for the future of the country, obviously.”

Asked if the United States could cut off aid — Nigeria was slated to receive $660.5 million in the president's 2012 budget, more than any other sub-Saharan country except Ethiopia — Nuland didn't rule it out.

drag_on: @bcraig That video said nothing, the U.S. gives the whole of Africa millions of $$$ in monetary aid every year/check out the 2011 monetary and military aid to SouthAfrica compared to Nigeria. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_foreign_aid
if you say we sold out ourselves who is worse? What did we sell out?The video says nothing, what a waste of time. That is a poor video.
You gotta be joking! Nigeria is one of the biggest recipients of US AID. Already bought and owned by the US. Leave wiki alone and read here ---> http://www.ibtimes.com/top-10-largest-recipients-us-aid-554022

Two: The video says a lot. We all know you get special treatment on arms procurement from the US. Now, in addition to that, you also get handouts.

No wonder your international relations are skew.

The same US doesn't care to acknowledge you when he visits Africa.

Just so things aren't twisted:

The narrative reads:

Among the top 10 nations, military assistance is generally the largest percentage of the total amount sent, but the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a federal government agency, also distributes millions in civilian aid to nations across the world.

Yup! Nigeria can't stand on its own two feet. Handouts and puppetting.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 8:51pm On Jun 28, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: In your mind puppets are people who speak boldly to their beliefs and aspirations without fear or favor? Well, look in your mirror and see one of several million puppets in the hands of the western puppet masters. We will liberate you again, this time with the might of the military.
Speaking bodly with no action = empty vessels.

Your actions prove you to be the biggest puppets in the whole of Africa.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 8:50pm On Jun 28, 2013
I also like how the video shows how Jonathan's military receives handouts from the US. And then you want to come and brag about nothing here. Twisting facts.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 8:48pm On Jun 28, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: So talk about something else.
Typical retort when the truth starts hurting. You Nigerians should not have started the debate.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 8:42pm On Jun 28, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: All of that is after the FACT. .
Oh, but the second post? Well before the fact.

Nigeria cowered even though it had become clear what the no-fly zone was going to be used for.

Watch, read and weep - the video above made by an American - which explains why you are puppets and deserve no respect whatsoever.

NIgeria's selling out of Gadaffi explained in detail.

More South Africa here. Making life difficult for the US ---->

India, Brazil and South Africa join Russia in Liby 'No Fly Zone' rejection
India, Brazil and South Africa have put a spoke in the American wheel, which seemed up until Tuesday inexorably moving, turning and turning in the direction of imposing a "no-fly" zone over Libya.

Arguably, the United States can still impose a zone, but then President Barack Obama will have to drink from the poisoned chalice and resurrect his predecessor's controversial post-Cold War doctrine of "unilateralism" and the "coalition of the willing" to do that. If he does so, Obama will have no place to hide and all he has done in his presidency to neutralize America's image as a "bully" will come unstuck.

drag_on: @ bcraig lets make this simple, type out what nigeria did wrongly and failed to do in libya and how southafrica succeded.if not am out.
With pleasure:

South Africa here --->

JOHANNESBURG, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- South Africa, a non-permanent member of the of United Nations Security Council, has expressed support to Resolution 2016 of 2011, which lifts the no fly zone imposed on Libya, the South African department of international relations announced on Friday.

In a media statement, department spokesman Clayson Monyela said Resolution 2016 effectively ends NATO's role as from one minute before midnight on Oct. 31 2011.

He said the other 14 members of United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted the resolution.

South Africa's Ambassador to the United Nations Baso Sangqu said South Africa has taken note of the events of the last few weeks, including the death of Libya's Muammar Gaddafi.

He said South African President Jacob Zuma has pointed out that South Africa would have preferred Gaddafi to be captured and given an opportunity to stand trial in a court of law to answer for his actions.

Sangqu said South Africa hopes that these latest developments will lead to a cessation of hostilities and the restoration of peace.

He said South Africa believes that a lasting and sustainable peace in Libya is only possible through an all-inclusive political process.

This should culminated in the first ever democratic elections in that country in accordance with the roadmap announced by Libya' s National Transitional Council (NTC).

Monyela said South Africa urges Libya's NTC to begin in earnest the process of building national unity and reconciliation as well as the disarmament of all combatants and their reintegration into society.

He added that South Africa remains committed to work together with the African Union, the United Nations, the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Conference to ensure coordinated support to the NTC and the Libyan people in general in their endeavors to reconstruct their country and to bring about democratic, political and socio-economic changes.

drag_on: @craig am sure you are proud of mugabe right? Gadaffi is a bit mugabe and Africa have to protect these dictators, and you hate mandela, cause he supported western sactions against Nigeria over the trial and death of saro wiwa by abacha, or am i wrong? or are you confused in ideology?
Nigerians living in libya were rounded up and called terrorist infiltrators working for gadaffi a classic propaganda to show they were progressing in their war campaign
You are confused in argument. I am not even going to respond to your unfounded speculation about who I like and hate. I will ask you a simple question: what has the issue of Nigerians living in Libya got to do with Jonathan's conscious, but poorly thought-out vote? It's obvious he was trying to please the West. Now look at how he is treated, in return for his efforts.

PS: I'm glad the moderator came and looked and found my arguments relevant and proper. Thank you moderator. wink

drag_on: @craigb lol, sold who out? The libyans or gadaffi?
Both! You sold out Libyans and gadaffi.

Where is Libya now, compared to where it was before Nato? You people should be proud of yourselves.

Leave racist arguments alone.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 7:28pm On Jun 28, 2013
So in conclusion - Nigeria sold out Gadaffi because Nigeria are puppets. Even Amanpour knows it and treats their president like rub*bish.

drag_on: @andrewza you may be right your country wanted a peaceful end.i am prepared to accept that, but pres. zuma going to libya, visiting gadaffi and touring the capital with him -while the libyan people watched as their children died -was very poor.He was( together with the others ) used as a propagander tool. That is a very weak political position. He should have been better advised to deligate it to a deputy. i'll stop here so as not to derail the tread.
Trying to shift the goalposts. We are talking sellouts here. Not public relations.

I introduced the argument, so trying to shift attention won't help.

In any case, deputy or president - makes no difference. Your point makes no sense in that regard.

Secondly, Libyans were also participating in the killing. Even Nigerians were part of the killing. South Africa wasn't. So, your arguments about political PR issues are totally irrelevant.

Fact is you Nigerians started the debate on this. Now you can't finish it. As usual.

We're also responding to this:

Donian007: My brother Zuma is frustrating SANDF with his OZOGUMOUS POLITIKAL EGO-LAUNCHING agenda even his generals can't cough. I have said it the current SANDF is a negative and sharp contrast to the defunct SADF in capabilities and quality of service. My utmost respect goes to The defunct SADF, those were warriors.
So, take it up with your fellow Nigerians and leave us alone.

patriot4: Moderator, take down the i.ps of the disturbance here. These vermines, have ntothing to do hear.
You people start topics and fail to handle them. My posts are a direct and very sharp response to this:

Donian007: Don't be ridiculous andrewza, did we colonise Niger, Mali, Cote Ivoire, Chad, Cameroun? Did we orchestrate their problems?. All of them will continue being independent slaves and beggers to Britain and France. If you are vast you'll know that Nigeria has moved to reshape her destiny hence can no longer be pulled by the nose. Britain knows that for sure we've shown them our middle-fingers, the USA thought they can play the game better than Britain so they came visiting but NIGERIA cannot be what say and want. China, Russia, India, Ukraine, North Korea saw that we are 1 sturbbon black nation that cannot be pushed over so they made us their best friends in West Africa. France saw what we did to Britain so are conscious not to let us influence Francophone WA. Britain has tried to create a lot of gap between Nigeria and Ghana so as not to loose Ghana, for Gambia its a pity. Until all Africans resolve and understand that the West won't build Africa for us and start a powerful union to decide our destinies ourselves we want grow.
Very direct.

A puppet trying to preach.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 6:19pm On Jun 28, 2013
Here's the chief puppet himself - sellout that killed Gadaffi shaking in front of Amanpour. Even going to the extent of selling out ordinary Nigerians by saying they are happy with the electricity situation. No backbone whatsoever!

"I promise you. Before the end of this year, power will be reasonably stable in Nigeria" - well, as usual, empty talk.

drag_on: @ bcraig oh! i am sure the libyan people today will always praise south-africa for the leadership role it played in protecting gadaffi while his troops slaughtered innocent protesters..
Let's not talk about something that hasn't happened. Let's talk about what has happened. Nigeria sold out. Fact. South Africa worked tirelessly to fix what clearly was a bad decision by NATO, with Nigeria cowering till the end. So desperate was Nigeria to get rid of Gadaffi, they never spoke out one bit. The same Nigeria that was so confused they had their mercenaries shot in Libya during the revolution. Politically, you people are clueless.

So clueless, Obama simply dismisses you by saying: "Oh, I won't go to Nigeria because of the security situation". And you lap it up because of your puppet tendencies. You've been had and spat out.

Did you see Jonathan shaking in front of Amanpour the other day?

Puppets.

Donian007: We never sold Muarmar!
Keep telling yourself that. The whole world knows you puppetted yourselves and sold him out. You had Gaddafi killed because you never see farther than your nose.

Don't preach to us about Africa getting rid of the West, because you aren't helping the situation one bit.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig: 5:07pm On Jun 28, 2013
Donian007: Muarmar's society was an Islamic one and Nigeria's a secular one. Muarmar have angered Nigeria once for saying that we should divide.
Yes - so you sold him out and in the process, sold out Africa to the West. Lots of puppet tendencies coming out of Nigeria, with its myopic politics.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig:
zaandrew: correct to commie trying to invade us, we have down sized in size because well all of SADC is our ally
Look at these apt and clever budgetary cuts over the years. Let's see Nigeria eat its guns.

Cuts notwithstanding, we are still better and we have a formidable budget.

We are a more balanced nation. Our military spending is only a tiny weeny bit of our total expenditure, but we still produce quality stuff.

Other nations, Nigeria included, have to go hungry to procure half our quality material.

Obviously the SANDF is not the SADF because post-apartheid South Africa has other priorities. Still, the SANDF remains powerful.
