Just received this from Access Bank. Anyone knows what it meant should pls clarify it to me
Refers to fx transfer (wire transfer charges) most likely their 'prevailing market rate' would refer to aboki/black market rate as opposed to the current 3,500 but ideally, the 'prevailing market rate' should refer to CBN rate or their card rate worse case scenario

Just a little addendum to what the poster above me (AKBliv010) said:

1. Whilst you may find software that will partition you HDD with the OS installed I'd always recommend backup your personal files and use the partition software you wish to use...if the system came pre-installed, I'll say aside your personal files backup the SWSETUP folder as well, since this is where all the drivers and the pre-installed applications are. Backing up this folder would save you time and when you need to reinstall your driver's after you are done installing Windows.

2. If the device is not listed in Device Manager you aren't likely to have a dedicated GPU. Did you verify this information I device manager?
...he might have a dedicated GPU, but improper driver installation might not make it turn up in Device Manager, unless he knows what to look for.

AKBliv010:
Please stop it! Intel make chips for CPU's, Nvidia make chips for GPU's. A laptop will either have a dedicated GPU or not. If it doesn't, then the iGPU, integrated GPU built with the Intel chip will be used to display images on the monitor. If it has a dedicated GPU it will either be made by AMD or Nvidia

And please get NVIDIA right not nividia or nividai!

The motherboard or the chipset used in laptops are not made by INTEL,AMD or Nvidia. Intel specify the chipset to be used on the motherboard. For instance, the chipset required to work with the Intel core i7-6700 is a Z170, H110, H170 or B150.

My Asus X202E with the Intel i3-2350M uses a HM76 chipset.

pls do you agree that and board generate more heat that Intel?
Likewise do u no that nividia graphic chipset get more heat than that of intel?
Dude, you have a good heart in that you dey try help, but you need to do additional brush up to correct your misconceptions. I stood up for you earlier, cos despite misconceptions, you arrived@ the answer, but right now, you dey fall my hand seriously.

bro,, cooling mat,,, as In cooling fan ??
AKBliv010 has been kind enough to show include a picture of the cooling mat (thanks for that bro) but whilst that might be the fastest and easiest/cheapest way out, I'd still encourage you to see a techie, cos overheating could be caused by several factors, from a faulty CPU Fan to blocked vents (as he rightly mentioned) and even in rare cases, a defective processor.
ComputersRe: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by bdavis: 12:42pm On Aug 30, 2016
AKBliv010:
Cooling mat/pads is a quick fix not a solution. Clean out dust first.
Might not even be dust. Could be the CPU Fan is defective, which is most likely the case.

The funny part about the whole thing really is that there is no Nvidia in that system. cheesy Nah AMD GPUS the thing dey run on.

grin grin

Una go just dey assume wetin una no sabi!
Spot on my 12inch rump! Make the guy go learn work well he no gree.

Our Weather does not support it. grin The guy nah joker!

Look at the way he described the Nividai he was talking about. He probably thinks Nvidia is a company that makes PCs that over-heat. Clown of the highest order.

I don't even know why u guyz are the ones calling the shots here? The Gamer section crew should just take over cos u guys are clueless.

See the PCs ppl are wasting money purchasing. Redundant old and dead laptops.
When I said spot on, I was referring to his over heating diagnosis cos let's face it, that is what the issue is and that is what is important to the user/OP). Knowing na Nvidia or AMD be the power behind the GPU doesn't in any way 'epp' the user/poster. Of course like I said, some of the things he said are questionable but in that regards (overheating) he was right.

As for being cluless bros, if you turn to a computer, TV or smartphone, I go scatter you and put you back in perfect working order with ma eyes closed...dats how 'clueless' I am.

The fact someone goofed and I chose not to be disrespectful about it or ridicule him don't mean I don't know my onions. This is a forum where peeps can come and learn, be corrected and become better for it. No one has a claim on knowledge, not even Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived so let your contribution be positive and geared towards helping peeps and not ridiculing, or putting peeps down.

Also your comment which I have put in italics, was uncalled for. No be everyone fit afford to buy a Bugatti or a Ferrari or a Porsche , even though everyone might wish it; and life bro, is in stages. If its what the OP fit afford for now, why make a mockery of it just because you can afford something better? Isn't it better he gets what he can afford and harnesses it do what he needs to do which would possibly generate income for him and afford him the opportunity to get something better in the nearest future than sit on his ass waiting for the money to buy a Bugatti? Abi if e come meet you say guy gimme money to buy better lapi, you go give him? Talk true o.

Weather! I no fit laugh

D guy dey form john doe but is spouting absolute nonesense

He even spelt it as Nividai Lol
Dudes take am easy na...d guy is only trying to be helpful. Whilst his spelling and some other stuff might be questionable, he's diagnosis of the system over heating is to a large extent (98.9%) spot on and me thinks that's what matters.

What you describe is an over heating issue. Simplest way to solve it is to get a cooling mat.

I'm using a blackberry Q5 and I haven't seen any settings on my whatsapp, does anybody have d same problem or a solution?
This can not be done on a blackberry device, that is the reason facebook (the owner of whatsapp) decided to stop supporting blackberry devices because the way blackberry OS is, it won't allow data sharing outside the app, it's considered unsecure and blackberry being all about security...

You can't convert it to an e voucher. If you want to sell it, you'll probably have to offer to do checkout for someone.

"A tale of two friends: One invested in stocks the other in forex

A tale of two friends: One invested in stocks the other in forex
Two years ago and just when the Central Bank announced its first round of devaluation two friends talked about its impact on the Nigerian economy and what this could mean for their portfolios. They both had investments in Nigerian stocks and were disciples of Value Investment.
As events in the economy unfolded they pondered on what their next move would be. Obinna believed he was better off remaining in stocks as he felt prices of stocks could plummet giving him an opportunity to buy fundamentally sound companies on the cheap. Mike on the other hand had a gloomy feeling about all of that was happening around him and opined that he was better off betting against the Nigerian economy. Mike felt better off selling off his entire investments, including stocks, real estate and treasury bills. To him, he would rather be investing in dollars. Mike sold of his entire portfolio worth about N10 million and had about $55, 555 in his domiciliary account. Obinna kept his N12.5 million worth portfolio in stocks and another N4 million in the money market.
Mr Komolafe on the other just got paid N50 million for a house he just sold. He called his son-in-law asking that he invests it in another choice property in Abuja. His son-in-law Debo advices him against doing just that and tells him to instead buy dollars. Mr Komalafe felt it was a bad advice as he was buying dollars at N180 when just a few weeks back he could have gotten it for N165. However, Debo was dogged and told him to take the advice. He eventually did and deposited the $277k in his accounts.
In hindsight, it’s easy to agree Mike was the better of the two friends in terms of who probably fared better. Mr Komolafe will also bless God for the right choice his wife made in picking the right husband.
As the chart below depicts, speculating in forex has probably paid off more for some than investing in stocks.
Exchange rate $/N 2014-2016
All Share Index 2014-2016
For Mr Mike and Mr Komolafe their savings in forex is now worth about N22.2 million and N110.8 million respectively in a little under two years. This is an example of how to make that money work for you. For Obinna, his portfolio didn’t do as expected as stocks which appeared cheap in early 2015 turned about being expensive at the end of 2015. His portfolio is currently down by about 19% and in danger of losing even more as the economy closes in on a recession.
An investment in dollars in 2014 yields a whopping return of 95% compared to the All Share Index which has lost about 17% within the same period (Jan 2015 – August 2016). True, some stocks have returned over 100% in the last one year but we all know you can’t beat the market.
The sad part of this story is that it depicts the Nigeria of today. People who work hard just to earn a return of 20% end up losing 100% of their investments. So rather than invest in a business that will employe more people and create value to the greater society, we end up saving it in an alien currency. Even investing in real estate can’t beat these sort of returns.
Lesson here is to bet against your economy in a recession if it is import dependent."
