Nope! There is a possibility that this policy will curb vote buying but trust politicians, they may start stashing monies in wierd places to circumvent this problem. God pass them all.
Stash where, for an election of 5 months time.Remember d notes will have to be d new naira notes that is not released till 2023 jan.How u wan take collect new notes by Jan when there is law against large cash notes?

•Parties to write CBN for waiver, say cashless policy will choke political process, fundraising

•If Buhari had no access to funding in 2014, he would never have been President, says PDP

•Policy will create logistic problems, paying party agents nationwide will be difficult – ADC, ADP

Even though i hate this new law becos it makes life diff for me,i totally support it fpr election n corruption purpose. No more 1 k payments to voters n bullion vans for election purposes.every money should be transferred via bank so we can easily trace origin .We will suffer bt survive.

I've been under a few other men of God but none stood out for me like pastor Adeboye. As in the power of God I've experienced from him, his humility and genuine walk and spiritual exercises just makes him outstanding among his fellow GOs.

Yesterdays holy ghost service was one of a kind. The power of God truly came down and I felt it. When he was doing the 360 turn, the power of God was just moving so heavily I felt I was going to throw up my spirit from within me. My spirit was literally trying to jump out of my body. Hmmm.... God is truly with Adeboye..

May God keep him for us. Amen.

I am blessed.

PoliticsRe: More Crisis For Obi In Labour Party As Lasun Speaks On Why He Dumped The Party by bdon123(m): 7:15am On Dec 09, 2022
Newsletter01:
Peter Obi is self-centered and lacks qualities of good leadership; Yusuf Lasun blasted the Labour Party candidate after dumping the party.

By: Tosin Adetolu

The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in the Osun election and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun, has revealed why he dumped Labour for the PDP after his unsuccessful contest for the gubernatorial seat in the state.

Speaking to selected newsmen in Oshogbo, the capital of Osun State, Yusuf Lasun said he left the Labour Party for the PDP because the former is unserious and rather in the hands of characters who conceal their true identities. Yusuf lambasted Peter Obi and accused him of being a pretentious character who lacks leadership qualities and is only interested in his growth and ambition.

The Labour Party is a breeding ground for political hawks, jokers, and snipers who are not interested in leadership; it’s unfortunate that these characters that cluster the party are being led by Peter Obi, whom we thought was a different politician all-together, but in reality, he is a worse character.

“Obi never called or picked up my call after the governorship election in Osun State; he didn’t bother to ask how far we have gone with those who supported us in the election. Most of the money we got from donors for the election has still not been accounted for or remitted. Every effort I made to reach out to the presumed leader of the party, Peter Obi, by virtue of his position as the presidential candidate, proved abortive, and I was reliably informed that he said he would not want to have any discussion with me.”

Yusuf noted that after the election, he owed debt ranging from logistics for those who worked closely for the party during the election, among others, but Obi never cared to ask questions for one day; he instead instructed Doyin Okupe and others to withhold funds donated for our election.

“Stories abound how Peter Obi is spending money for the Labour Party in his immediate Anambra State, but nothing at all is happening in any other state of the Federation; what he does is use the party name to raise funds and concentrate them on Anambra State alone, with nothing at all for other states; such actions leave us to wonder if he is running for governor of Anambra State or what. There’s no presence of the Labour Party in Osun State, and the few votes the party got in the last election were due to my popularity and not that of Obi or anyone else. I think it’s high time we began to tell Nigerians the truth, that the Labour Party and Peter Obi are playing pranks on Nigerians.”

The former Guber candidate lamented that he was treated with leprosy fingers and the Labour Party in Osun abandoned while money raised for the sake of the party was rather being diverted by Obi and his cronies who are using the party to enrich themselves. Yusuf said that and many more informed his decision to leave, saying that they are not serious and Obi is a self-centered human and treacherous politician.

Yusuf warned Nigerians as he called on Peter Obi and Okupe to account for the millions of Naira that passed through the Bank accounts provided for Osun election and how they were spent.
Lasun we dont know u.Obi we know.We are voting peter Obi of labour party not becos of party.

[quote author=seanwilliam post=118981156]you’re also wrong. Before the policy , not everyone can use ussd or bank transfer, you can always use your card at the pos to transfer, you will be debited including charges.

E.g an old man who has atm card and wants to transfer or pay for goods ofover 20k but doesn’t know how to use bank app or ussd , what he needs to do is to go to pos , the money will be debited for his atm card including charges .

No one needs more than 20k cash per day .

The 20k cash will cover petty petty spending like buying maggi, paying tfare , paying your barber etc.

Honestly this is a welcome development. [/quote

thebosstrevor1:
it won't hinder POS biz, it is business as usual btw, you cant compare the transition from paper airtime to a bank airtime with the POS business, POS is part of the cashless initiative

the amount of atm facilities is not enough for people, so they tend to use POS service

POS works like your atm in some ways, you can transfer to another account, pay for goods and a lot more

so the cashless policy is more of a supporter of POS because POS is also part of the cashless system
Why will i use POS wen i can transfer by app?Mind u atm will now be empty becos 20kis d limit

so how will the Pos guy withdraw from d bank since he can only withdraw 20k a day?

Don’t forget if u have 15 accounts n it’s linked to just 1 bvn u can only withdraw 20 from d whole account or he enters bank n they charge him 5k for collecting 100k

How will he make gain?

Don’t u know with the new policy, cbn is encouraging savings n discouraging withdrawals
They are not encouraging saving in anyway, they are encouraging cashless economy.Even bus will soon start using pos.Mind u there is wat we call pinless entry feature on card.U make payment by keeping ur card on a pos device for 1 sec
BusinessRe: CBN Cashless Policy Is Good For POS Business by bdon123(m): 4:52pm On Dec 07, 2022
thebosstrevor1:
Most POS operators are concerned about the new CBN cashless policy, I personally think they shouldn't stress themselves and I think the new CBN policy is a good one for them.

Since a cashless policy is the primary goal of the CBN, if you are a pos operator, you can use this to your advantage, now that the government is encouraging a cashless system that means more business will come your way.

for instance, if someone wants to pay his children's school fees, that person can walk to any POS operator and do that, and you will be able to charge your usual transaction fee

if someone wants to pay for goods and they are far away from an atm or bank, they can now use your POS services to do that transaction

if someone wants to transfer money from their atm to their family member in another location, then it is easy for them to use your POS

people that want to receive cash can also use your POS service, they will transfer the money they need to your account and you give them cash while you take your commission

The CBN cashless policy will bring more customers to your POS Business, now people will be able to pay for anything through POS and you will cashout, you will get more customers than ever before.

Anyway, just see the big picture, fantasize, dream and think of how much money you will make from CBN cashless policy.
U are totally wrong.I personally hav no reason to use POS still.I hav debit card,i hav bank app.Why da heck will i use pos?Instead i tink ot has destroy pos business.Mind u,people using pos are those looking for cash withdrawal. So now that withdraw limit is 20k without charges,it means ATM queue will no longer exist....people will actually start making transfer instead of cash payments.... POS will hear it
