Cool, den just say u hav a single sponsor and state ur assests as d applicant's proof of financial support.. But I think a statement of purpose explain all this wud b much better.. Always imagine ure a VO and candidly assess ur application frm a VO's perspective..

modskiller: okay here it is, I applied for admission but was denied because they wanted a minimum of C5, but I had C6, though so many peeps asked me to apply to another school, but it's the one I can easily afford for now since I'll be the one paying. So when I applied and was denied due to the result, I asked if I can forward my neco exam details, and they said yes. But I'm kinda worried cos I sent my secondary school transcript, and it indicated the name of the secondary school I attended, but the neco exam has the name of another school where I did the exam not as an external, but I registered as an internal student. Cos I think it will indicate attending 2 secondary schools.

Okay.. I get. Err.. Wot I think is dz -- U can simply send ur Neco result/scratch card to d sch and explain u registerd at another sch to take d exam.. Dnt think it wud cause a fuss.. Just my 2cents though.. Not sure bout hw UG admissn works..

Wz actually my only sponsor.. Sponsor had shares worth bout 4m and landed props..

Actually any property (of your sponsor) that you present with your application will only serve as proof of financial capability, not home tie. The only time property can serve as home tie is if it is yours, or if you are the next of kin of whoever owns it.

Exacta.. Totally agree wit u.. Home ties can also be stated in ur SOP.. Combination of owned landed props and reseverd employmnt are vry good home ties..

Concerning this landed property thingy, I think wot matters is if d property belongs to ur sponsor. If it doesn't, then it becomes irrelevant cos it simply means d owner mght hv other plans for it... However, you can hv a co-sponsor who hz a landed property and as such, you wud need to obtain a valid letter 4rm him/her pledging to give sososo towards your education.. My sponsor had 800k openin bal and 200k closing balance.. Guess it wz d landed docs dat helped me...

Dz is really good... Lots of concrete info here... Would be leavn 4 Toronto 31st Aug (Lufthansa) for Masters @ University of Toronto.. Pls any1 willing to offer an ensuite room for accommodation?.. Budget is about 520CAD... D closer to UofT (St. George campus), the better... Thanks

surveyor1: All universities in Australia have scholarship. However, Australia universities too competitive compare to US or Canada. Also they only give few number of international students scholarship.
Considering the university you applied to, university of Melbourne. Is one od their best university. So you need to ask yourself
1. Do you have first class.
2. Do you publish paper or attended conferences
3 . working experience
4. Good academic references
Sometimes you might be lucky to get one, but I advised you if you don't meet all the requirements stated and you want to scholarship in Australia university, it might be an hard nut to crack. All the same, God favour is unlimited. So finger cross. But if u really desperate for scholarship, I recommend US universities for you. All the best

What am primarily after is other financial options except d scholarshps offrd by UniMel since av applied and dey said dey wud get back to me. Anyway, wud also look in2 US and Canada.. I got an unconditional offer to study nanoelectronics @ UniMel... They said they would get back to me sometime in Dec/Jan concerning scholarships... I haven't processed Visa because of this and am worried I might not have enough time to when I get feedback cos my course starts Feb...

Pls house, do you know of other possible scholarshps or financing options as I've spent days surfing but nothing concrete yet?

@ teexzle.. I only practisd with d online shl practice questns and 'googled' on how to answr personality questions.. D only feedback u wud receive for d actual test would be from PwC not shl..

Personality test wz for 25mins(wasn't timed so u can spend as much time as you like).. 52 pages, 2 sets per page, 3 questions per set... U wud choose which is most likely and least likely rep ur personality out of d 3 questions.. I attemptd the online practice test b4 I startd googling and preparing 4 it and also after I felt I had made all necessary preparatns.. D initial report I got wz better than after I had prepared.. In my opinion, shl OPQs are structurd for consistency and if you start givin what u feel are 'right answrs' instead of what ur personality really is, u might mix things up and score low on consistency.. However, if ure good @ imitating another personality, then ride on, but just b consistent.. Wish u guys all d very best.. Cheers
