Seem you're close to the CBN governor, instead of all the noise you're making here, why not tell the CBN governor to come clean with Nigerians by releasing a public statement on the issue..... It will not be long before hard evidences begins to flood the social media space over these allegations.... this is just the beginning.... Ritchiee: |
You call it "generous approvals" I call it theft.... Are these approvals legal....? You said "On allegations of giving generous approvals by faceless, nameless entities?..." Cardoso and other CBN executives implicated are not nameless or faceless as a simple Google search will tell you who they are.... The moral burden lies on CBN to come clean with Nigerians and not the newspaper..... Ritchiee: |
Really? Ritchiee: |
Let the CBN refute the claims, their silence is a clear admission of guilt.... Ritchiee: |
I already told you that i am only here to contribute to threads please do not send me mails outside the platform thanks.... HellVictorinho8: |
Interesting, you call the report a cooked up story.... Why do you think the CBN spokesperson's phones were switched off when they tried to contact the bank....? Let the CBN governor defend himself or sue the newspaper if he has nothing to hide.... Do you think the newspaper has no hard evidence to guard against litigations before reporting the story....? The fact that it's been 24 hours and no official reply from CBN should tell you that Cardoso and his gang are culpable.... In saner climes the CBN governor should've resigned by now..... unfortunately this is a shameless government..... Nigerians should demand for resignation of Cardoso and other CBN executives.... Tinubu and his 40 thieves..... the destruction and looting continues until Nigerians do the needful and end this evil government.... |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npkdHkgqHqk Tinubu administration's profligacy reaches new heights as CBN joins the looting spree..... Read the full story below. "Fourteen months after former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele was suspended and faced ongoing prosecution for various financial crimes, the current leadership of the apex bank, led by Olayemi Michael Cardoso, may be entangled in its web of breaches of official protocols and abuses of office. In a scenario reminiscent of the investigation led by Jim Obazee, a special investigator hired by the federal government to uncover Emefiele’s activities while in office, multiple credible sources within the bank have now raised severe allegations against Governor Cardoso and his four deputy governors. They are accusing the leadership under Cardoso of infractions that indicate weak systemic controls. Among the allegations is the reported upgrade of annual housing allowances for the governor and his deputies to nearly N1 billion each. All five officials already live in luxurious residences in Abuja’s upscale Maitama district. "What justification can there be for this level of indulgence?” asked a senior CBN official who requested anonymity for fear of reprisal. “The CBN’s leadership should exemplify modesty, not opulence.” In another revelation, it is alleged that the governor and his deputies upgraded their international travel privileges from business to first class. A first-class ticket from Abuja to New York, which costs upwards of $15,000, is now standard for the CBN’s top officials. How can they justify such luxury when the average Nigerian is struggling to afford necessities?” lamented another source within the bank. Credible sources also alleged that the travel allowances of the governor and his deputies may have been increased to $7,000 per night, meaning they could pocket over $50,000 for a week-long trip, excluding additional perks. “This is a brazen,” a source close to the matter stated. “How can they justify such largesse when the Nigerian minimum wage is a mere 70,000 naira a month?” The bank is also accused of hiring consultants at over N30 million per month, “an amount that dwarfs the combined monthly salaries of all CBN directors”, one source said. For example, official documents showed that Mr Cardoso hired a media consultant for a monthly salary of N30 million. There are also allegations of non-competitive and secretive hiring practices under Governor Cardoso’s leadership. Hundreds of CBN staff have reportedly been dismissed without due process under the guise of organisational restructuring, only to be replaced by new hires through covert means. A source mentioned the specific case of a retired police Assistant Inspector General (AIG) appointed to head a department in disregard of extant rules. Also, the Procurement and Supply Services department has allegedly undermined the bank’s Human Resources department. A senior staff member at the bank’s headquarters revealed that these breaches have led to tension and suspicion. Efforts by this newspaper to obtain a reaction from CBN spokeswoman Sidi Ali were unsuccessful, as she refused to respond to questions sent to her phone, and her number was unreachable for calls. https://leadership.ng/cardoso-deputies-under-scrutiny-over-alleged-generous-approvals/ |
Seem this is the main reason why Tinubu kept Kyari as NNCP GM after taking over from Buhari.... Every Nigerian should be concerned.... it is safe to say that Tinubu has captured Nigeria.... Seem a nationwide protest to end this evil government is now inevitable.... |
Just saw the mail.... As I said earlier it is not proper to solicit funds and reveal bank details on an open anonymous platform.... Please note that I am here to only make contributions to threads.... HellVictorinho8: |
Interesting, you call the report a paid campaign...so you are still sleeping....? Why do you think the CBN spokesperson's phones were switched off when they tried to contact the bank....? Let the CBN governor defend himself or sue the newspaper if he is clean.... Do you think the newspaper has no hard evidence to guard against litigations before reporting the story....? Starting with the president, the government has so many people with criminal history and questionable characters.... zicoraads: |
Individually, yes it doesn't make the person a failure but nationally it does harm to the country's image and reputation.... HellVictorinho8: |
Okay but we have a choice to correct this mess as a people....I believe this is why such platforms as Nairaland exists to educate and share ideas on how best to move the country forward, we may not agree on several issues but we agree on this fact that we have only one country.... even if the people choose to go their separate ways tomorrow... we are Nigerians today and whatever we can do to hold the government accountable will go a long way in improving the economy and helping everyone.... As for me I've concluded that Tinubu's bad government is irredeemably corrupt and insensitive, it can not continue, it urgently has to end to save Nigeria's economy.... I hope Nigerians will let go of tribalism and selfish sentiments to demand for a better future that will be benefit everyone before it is too late..... HellVictorinho8: |
I told Nigerians before August 1 nationwide protest to agitate for an end to this callous government and move for an establishment of an interim smaller government with a mandate of 2 years to implement critical reforms needed to save this country, this I've continued to champion both online and offline.... Tinubu and his people in government don't care about Nigerians.... they will loot and destroy what is left of Nigeria's economy if nothing is done to stop them.... |
No one should take this government seriously as it has failed the people.... Nigeria's economy can improve and fuel price (Food and transportation cost) will come down if one national refinery is functional and producing fuel.... Tinubu and his people are benefitting from the crisis.... |
There is need to reorient our people against the desperation to runaway from Nigeria.... Japa is an admission of failure as a people, a symbol of international shame on Nigerians..... it has to stop for Nigeria to restore its dignity internationally.... |
So you think you've made a coherent comment in your post right....? I expected you to react constructively to my post.... My decision to write informally is personal as this is a social forum, if you've nothing meaningful to contribute to the thread then it's better you read other users contributions and move on.... FourQu: |
It is not proper to solicit funds on an open online forum for the sack of your privacy and security.... Regarding your comparison, you are right that not everyone engaging in crime are doing so japa but there is a negative impact caused by current wave of japa propaganda pushed on several social media pages and online blogs.... HellVictorinho8: |
Nigerians will need to rescue themselves as no one can save Nigeria except Nigerians.... For now Nigerians are not collectively tired of bad leaders.... the people know what to do when the time comes.... oyichi: |
Nigerians remain nonchalant spectators as Tinubu and his criminal political cronies continue their looting programs and destruction agenda of the country's economy.... |
This is why majority of Nigerians will continue to be chief architects of their problems.... after hearing, reading and seeing Tinubu say repeatedly that he will continue the corruption, nepotism and criminal policies from where Buhari stopped during the 2023 presidential campaign... many Nigerians especially Yorubas and others in this Nairaland website up till today are foolishly defending and supporting Tinubu even to their own detriment, demise and destruction.....how do you make sense of the kind of self-imposed destructive mindset some Nigerians have all because of tribalism and selfish sentiments.....? There is no doubt that Fuel subsidy remains a vital tool that stabilized Nigeria's productivity especially the manufacturing sectors of the economy..... This evil government headed by Tinubu were only out to destroy this country..... instead of implementing reforms to weed out the massive corruption going on within the subsidy programs, NNPC and petroleum sector, they deceived Nigerians by demonising the fuel subsidy program.... You cannot remove fuel subsidy or float the naira without fixing Nigeria's refineries or providing alternative measures that will cushion the effects of its removal.... what they did was literally to destroy Nigeria's economy..... Racoon: |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYo6H3ttXoI Tinubu's denial exposed as NNPC cries out over $4.9 billion..... |
Even Tinubu is wanted by EFCC, he was under investigation before the 2023 election.... here https://dailypost.ng/2021/06/21/tinubu-is-under-investigation-efcc-chairman-bawa/ This is one of the reason why Abdulrasheed Bawa then EFCC chairman was arrested and detained illegally by Tinubu.... To refresh your knowledge read this https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/616069-where-is-abdulrasheed-bawa-one-matter-that-questions-tinubus-democratic-acclaim.html?tztc=1 The earlier Nigerians end this corrupt insensitive government the better.... Tinubu doesn't care about fighting corruption because he thrives on corruption.... |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neQI5PD732Q Yahaya Bello has made EFCC worthless, Tinubu's government exposed.... |
Don't mind them.... the consequences of Tinubu's actions will go round as a bad economy knows no tribe or religion.... Dspsalvate: |
This visit has no benefit to Nigeria.....it is glaring that this is another medical trip by Tinubu that will further deplate the country's forex..... it is safe to say that France owns Tinubu.... |
When it comes to infrastructure, so far Otti has performed far better the previous governor.... how is he a disgrace? yarimo: |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjpwuh00btU APC's Kalu warns Alex Otti "It's unacceptable I'm no. 6 man and you're LP, APC must take Abia in 2027...." |
In the midst of hopelessness and hunger caused by his callous policies, Tinubu goes back to his overlords in France to showcase his new jet, brief them on his successes and receive further instructions on how to deal with Nigerians.... (Credit: Vanguard News Photos)
