Threemg: Great people, only GOD can bless you all for all these wonderful notes, advice, updates et al. We shall all have cox to celebrate and get GOD taking all d Glory. Please while my IELTS is underway I want to ask few questions so that after entering d pool I won't be caught unprepared like d 5 unwise virgins. 1. Do I need to get all reference letters from all the companies I have worked after NYSC? 2. What do I do in d Choice of NOC? I am an Electrical (Power systems) graduate and I hav e worked in 3 different companies with different roles : Please what should be d yardstick for my NOC , is it any of the previous experience or the current one? 3. My ND n HND ECA is currently handled by WES, I have a B.Eng too but NOR is not yet out and that's y I proceeded with d aHnd, do u think I should evaluate dt of the BEng too for more points? Thanks fam
GOD bless u all. @cochtrane already answered you man.. I will suggest you do ECA for your BENG and either ND or HND with WES as your ECA will be useful during job opportunity and other things like school runs in Canada. Recall, HND and ND is not equivalent to a Canadian Degree. Elsw you may still need to do for the B. Eng in future. |

Guitarlife: Good morning all, a quick one. I am currently doing an ECA with WES but it is for immigration. In the future if I intend to evaluate the same credential for maybe an educational institution I understand I will not need to go through the rigoruos process of sending transcript and certificate again.
How can this be done ? Or am I wrong with my assumption? yes you can use it. You can submit as part of your credentials to any employer. I am aware Connel Valentine used it as part of what he submitted to get a job at Rogers telecoms. I apologize for those stuff you sent me that is still outstanding my brother. Pele |

[Pls. reconfirm from your church you should be able to use it. Catholic churches are linked to the registry in their local government of domain. I am aware of two people using certificate issued by the catholic church for this canny processing. quote author=Ronke1114 post=62730844]
I think so. What happened back then was, we went to Ikoyi registry to get the marriage license. They gave us three certificates, We took it back to church, after it was signed in church during our wedding, we took it back to the registry, and it was signed and stamped. Then we dropped one copy with Ikoyi registry, one with the church and we kept one. We wanted to do the court wedding, and we were told we didn’t need to, since Catholic Churches and the registry issue the same certificates. If you did all this before, then you might not need to go through the process again.[/quote] |

Lol bad ugo...but truly all newbies should endeavour to read page 0 and 1. At least put in less than 10 mins to read them so as to make informed decisions

Yes bro a lot of people have done that here. As was stated above pls search to make an informed decision. However, off hand I can tell you Hnd and ond is equivalent to Two degrees by IRCC unlike a Bsc hence you will get more point for evaluation. I suggest you use wes for evaluation fr this as they are known to consistently evaluate HND and ond as two degrees. Hope this help a bit lastborn111: Good Afternoon,
Please, has anybody ever got an Higher National Diploma assessed before? (OND and HND) from same school?
And if, what is the assessment equivalent?

Kano is your best bet as the guy incharge there is up and doing. he will fix the issue for you. check their website for the mobile line. i understand lagos landline is still not working. Theyolu: I have called all the British Council offices - Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kano and Abuja. No luck. Kano rang once then switched off. I received a reminder email to pay up within 24 hours this morning. It will be one week tomorrow I made the payment. It is so annoying! |

Soon village people will open your file and ofcourse someone somewhere within your clan with benefit from this... Biko Kontagious and everyone with the confirm timeline for verification ... We need your help biko Can you assist itemizing the WES timelines for verification based on your experience... This will save alot of people delay experienced with WES at any point in time and knowing exactly who to hold to get result... Kontagious: Hi,
I see you paid for certificate verification, I didn't but WES still accepted the certificate on review. I'd speak about my request.
Request (including payment) for transcript was done online. For about two weeks from the day of request, I tried to get a contact that I could just at the least confirm when the transcript will leave school. About the 3rd week, I was told it takes about 2 weeks for the transcript to leave school. Exactly three weeks in, WES updated my profile to acknowledge receipt (I took that to mean transcript got to WES three days before that update).
Like a week or so after the update of documents received, status changed to awaiting verification, because I didn’t know payment was required, I stayed back and did nothing. Somewhat, status changed to document received along the line and so I thought LASU had responded to the verification only for that status to change back to awaiting verification some days later. I didn’t know what prank WES was playing, I mailed WES asking for clarification if the verification had been received or not. WES responded speaking grammar that they’d complete the ECA as soon as verification is received.
I gave about one more week to see if status would change to verification received but no, it didn’t. So, I went to school to confirm if payment is required as I had read a 10k is required (the post I saw was made about a year, wasn’t sure if the payment still applies)
Got to school and was told I needed to make 10k payment. Later found out during the visit that verification request had gotten to LASU 20 days before I went – just about the time I got update of awaiting verification. File was sitting fallow among other request yet to pay the 10k. To your question, I don’t think anyone from school will call you.
To wrap it up, you transcript should be acknowledged by WES maybe from third week of request but it shouldn’t exceed four weeks… If it exceeds the 4th week, please find time to visit the school. Then once you get status change to awaiting verification, you have to get to school as soon as you can to make the 10k payment. The verification request is sent via mail so school should have it before you get there. Once the 10k payment is made, school should respond within a week and your WES profile updated accordingly. I got the update within a week.
@Jummolami, please help clarify if you paid for verification, you can include timeline and modalities as well. Thanks

Oboy this US PCC na wa o.. 12 - 16 weeks ... Permit me to ask what date will be on the US PCC. I doubt if one can apply if one is currently in the US but coming back to Nigeria in few months.... In essence if the US FBI PCC is dated 20th November 2017 and you are still in the country at that time but left 25th November 2017... I understand it willl be rejected by CIC. ..Please if you ever gotten US FBI PCC if kindly shed light on the date featured on your US FBI PCC... so an informed decision can be made. Canadianfly: Answer to question 1 is: A lifetime!!!
It sure feels like it since I applied for hubby and me since August 14th. I advise you to apply now to FBI CJIS even before you start WES and the rest. Coz you'll be getting it in February 2018. |

Two ways either visit their office in Ikoyi or better still the more effective method.... The British Office lagos phone is bad so i suggest you call another branch office Abuja, or Kano or Port Hartcourt. Kano has been very helpful lately. Check their number on British council website and place a call. All your issues will be resolved in minutes. threadstone: You may need to visit bc physically with proof of payment. Had that issue with a colleagues registration and it was sorted after she visited their office. Application was initially cancelled for non payment. |

In most cases of dilemma, it is best to over submit documents that can emphasis your status than under submit documents. This will justify the need why your PPR should be issued with less waiting time. Boss13: If you feel that’s okay for you, don’t hesitate. I printed 2 years payslips. Don’t forget employment letter, confirmation letter, if you have job duties add it. If you were in a project, print the mail and add it. Add every relevant document to support your application. Trust me you don’t want your application to be delayed.
