Austin234:
This kind of heresy is capable of brain shift of many sound christians. In as much as there are abuse of Nigeria and the world at large, we shud not put aside dat this is a bible injunction. If a pastor abuse tithing, he has a case to answer b4 God. Just do God ask u to do.

At this juncture, let me remind us dat we shud not neglect d weightier matters of d law, which are good judgement, mercy and faith as we pay our tithes (Matt. 23: 23).
"Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for keeping part instead of the whole law. (Matthew 23:23). That is what tithe-collecting pastors do today. If we insist our congregants must pay tithes, we must also insist that they keep the rest of the law. James says: “Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10). Therefore, if we insist on tithing, we should also refrain from eating pork. We should stone adulterers, execute homosexuals, kill Sabbath violators and restore blood-sacrifices.""

I guess you also keep to these laws as well..and many more as instructed in the Old Testament.

Kindly read this, digest it, comment on it and make your final decision on Aregbesola (Baba Afusa) style of administration in Osun state. Below are the breakdown of damages, evil and wickedness baba Afusa done to our state.
1ST TERM
On assumption of office in November 27th, 2010:-
** He designed a coat of arms which cost him ‪#‎155m‬
** He designed Osun state flag Red, Green, Yellow and Black. The simple interpretations of this flag is that his government started with blood (red) and it will end in darkness (black) This cost Aregbesola government ‪#‎247m‬
** The very day Baba Afusa changed Osun state to State of Osun, the ceremony cost him ‪#‎300m‬
** O' calisthenics cost his government ‪#‎700m‬. A programme that foremost worsen our educational system. Students abandoned lectures to train at stadium.
** Inauguration of O'yes cadet. An indirect youth enslavement programme where graduate sweep and cut grasses, while Kabiru Aregbesola a drop out is busy enjoying our money.
** Introduction of every Thursday and last Saturday of the month environmental sanitation. An evil project that disturb people from going to their business places. Sanitation is what should be doing regularly.
** Introduction of O'uniform and the sole seller is Iya Afusa. Some cloth sellers who sold it was sentenced to ilesa prison.
** O'school merger. St. Charles Gram the only boys school in osogbo was merged and Baptist girls high school witnessed same. All schools was merged and students suffer serious mobility.
** O'Opon Imo an #8.6billion project handled by Quack Engr Kabiru Aregbesola egbon Afusa. Today Opon Imo cannot the sight in our schools.
** Demolition of Fakunle Comprehensive High School
** Demolition of Ile Epo Olaiya
** Demolition of houses and shops along Osogbo-Iwo road. People were made homeless and up till this movement nothing was done on this road
** Building of wasted Olajokun park at Gbongan junction, ‪#‎670m‬ was claimed to have spent on this
** Demolition of Shops and houses long Ogo Oluwa - Old Garage -Ayetoro - Ota Efun. Till today no compensation was given to affected people
** Sending of students who downloaded films on Opon Imo to ilesa prison
** Demolition of houses during construction of Oba Adesoji Aderemi road, Several houses and shops was demolished around testing ground, Oke bale, Garage Ilesa, etc no compensation to affected people.
** Delay in payment of Pensioners salary
** He announced names of commissioners after a year in office
** He rendered house of Assembly useless
** He increase security vote of office of governor from ‪#‎250m‬ to ‪#‎500m‬
** Ido Osun airport where over ‪#‎11billion‬ was spent still remain a jungle
** Dagbolu international project that gulped #9.7billion still remain a forest.
** O'reap tomatoes and others plants refuse to germinate and #5.9billion was spent on this failed project.
** He refused to conduct Local government election
** He divert local government allocation
** He borrowed ‪#‎300billion‬ in d name of 30LGA
** 90% of his commissioners special assistants and special advisers are from Lagos
** A total of ‪#‎445bilion‬ was borrowed during his first term in office.
** No single state government project was commission
** No hospital was built
** Ede water dam was down of operation.
** All the mini water scheme initiated by PDP government got spoilt
** No single rural community benefited electrification.
These are little Achievements I can credited to Ogbeni Aregbesola Baba Afusa during his first term in office.
2ND TERM
** He owe workers 9months salary
** He collected #34.999billion as bailout fund. This money is sufficient to pay 10 months salary, but Aregbesola paid just 2months
** He attached his own son Kabiru with VP Osinbajo and engaged our brothers and sisters to be cutting grasses and sweep roads.
** No LG election
** He sacked Non teaching staff of colleges of education
** He sack lecturers of state own higher institutions
** He converted Osun polytechnics to vocational training centre
** He demote the Permanent Secretaries
** He increase the project of O'airport by ‪#‎7billion‬
** He is now running up and down to get another bailout fund
** Over one year, two months no commissioners
** But he dubiously convert dissolved commissioners to principal consultants
** He collected peanuts as federal allocation about ‪#‎24m‬ now comes to Osun
** He paid half salary to workforce and that is why civil servants call him baba Afusa ( Half sha)
** Civil servants may not even get half salary as from March. May God prevent such, may we never experience such horror situation again.
I will like to stop here in order to allow you my readers to conclude and decide the type of person Governor Aregbesola is and the kind of Wicked agenda of APC.

PoliticsOur Nigeria And The Lies They Told Us! By Dennis From PH by BeClever(op): 6:43am On Jan 24, 2016
THE MYTHS:

As a boy growing up on the street of Port
Harcourt, I was told so many horrible things
about Igbos:I was told that Igbos were planning to push Rivers people to Abia State for the people of Abia to inhabit Rivers State because of our resources.

I was told that Igbo people enslaved and ruled
over my people in Bori the traditional
headquarters of Ogoni Kingdom.

I was told that Odumegwu Ojukwu, Onyeka
Onwenu and other prominent Igbos brazenly
rejoiced over the execution of my uncle Ken Saro Wiwa because of the role he played during the Civil War.
I was told that it is better to be slaves to Hausas than to be brothers to Igbos because, Igbos are worse than Hausas.

THE EFFECTS:

These things made me to terribly detest Igbos
beyond what you can imagine, I was always
skeptical, cynical and suspicious while dealing
with Igbos. It also affected my friendship with
Igbo guys, I was always careful not to be a victim, no matter how they value the friendship, as long as they are Igbos, they were bad eggs to me.

It also severely affected my relationship with Igbo girls, 70% of the girls I have seen are Igbos girls but I have never treated any of my Igbo girlfriends fairly because, I programmed my mind not to be interested in anything beyond the fun
attached to the chemistry of boys and girls stuff while dealing with an Igbo girl, I didn’t want to make the mistake of dating an Igbo girl to the extent of marrying her.

THE DISCOVERY:

I was posted to Akwa Ibom State for my national
youth service in November 2013, there I made so
many Igbo friends, almost 60% of Akwa Ibom
corps members are from Igbo extraction, mainly from IMSU, FUTO, ABSU, UMUDIKE, ESUT and IMT.

There I saw how determined a typical Igbo youth is, there I saw the natural tendency for economic success in a typical Igbo guy, there I saw the reason why Igbos are entrepreneurs allover the globe, there I saw that God specially gave them the metaphysical eyes to see money in things and
where you don’t even think of smelling money, there I saw that even though the Igbos have had severe political travails and marginalization, they will forever remain the economic salt of Nigeria.

While we were serving, those of us who are Port Harcourt breed UNIPORT/RSUST corps members were always complaining that Akwa Ibom is beautiful but not groovy like Port Harcourt, we were always complaining that the town is dry with no night life like Port Harcourt. But our friends from the Igbo extraction were seeing things
differently, they saw Akwa Ibom as a beautiful
virgin land highly in need of economic
exploration, they saw huge business
opportunities in where we saw boredom.

We were complaining of the insufficient N19,800 ‘alawi’ (allowance) while they were seeing it as
potential small scale business capital. We used our alawi to club in one night because, we didn’t see it as good enough to help us, while our Igbo friends inject it into their small scale businesses.

We were always going to Tropicana to see movies while our Igbo friends are busy going to Lagos to bring wears and jewelries for us to buy. We were always calling home for money but our Igbo friends were sending money home instead.

At the end of my service year, I said I was going back to Port Harcourt because I believed Uyo was too dry for me to hustle, but my Igbo friends stayed back because they saw Uyo as a land lacking business and as such, it’s good for them to
make money through the introduction of
different businesses.

THE REVERSAL:

I came back to Port Harcourt then pondered on my experience with these Igbo brains, I then realised why people hate them, I felt bad
seriously for wrongly hating them all these while, I decided to love them because, they have the kind of zeal I’d love to emulate.

THE CONVICTION:

When I was fully convinced that the Igbos are not only my role models but my blood was when they went against all odds to make Goodluck Jonathan
their own, they loved him even more than some us from the SouthSouth, they gave him their full support at the poll not minding the
consequences. Ever since, I couldn’t stop loving Igbos but to love them even more.

THE RECOMMENDATION:

Igbos drive the economy of every towns and cities in Nigeria, nobody can change that, so instead of hating them for doing business in your place, I’d advise you compete with them even if you know you can’t beat them because, it is your land that is benefiting economically and otherwise with such
healthy competition, it is a win win situation.

IN CONCLUSION:

Igbos are subject of hate in this country,
apparently due to wrong perception, but I
personally think Igbos are cool like any other
tribe, and bad like any other tribe too. Though my main problem with them is that, they never admit their flaws no matter how glaring but they are always quick to lampoon the slightest folly of other tribes.

If you want to be successful economically, think like Igbos!

Christianity EtcRe: Every Pastor Who Collects Tithes Is A Thief – Pastor Femi Aribisala by BeClever: 6:22am On Jan 24, 2016
kepstone:
Well.... This could be an eye opener, true it is, the Jew by the law are to pay tithe and truthfully today Jews don't pay tithe at all. Tithing is for the Jews and that was d law. Today we leave in the new covenant ratified by the blood of the lamb Jesus. The new law abolish d old law. As a pastor I pay my tithe with understanding of the new testament and that is in appreciation to the finished work of Christ on the cross, I tithe because he has enabled me to be able to make money keeping me safe and alive. I tithe because I honor him as my source not because of Amy one who will quote Malachi 3 for me. On our church we don't pay tithe as in the days of the law we pay tithe with the new testament understanding and that been said not necessarily must it be 10% when we collect tithe in our church we ask people to pick something to give to GOD as honor for enabling you to make money or profit in ur business.
One of the bad experience of paying of tithe I ever experienced was while I was still much younger before I became a Pastor, I made some money and removed the 10% to give to my pastor then, I wrapped my tithe in an envelope took it to his house because I don't want to eat my tithe. So I met my pastor at home gave him the tithe and he prayed just a few seconds prayer and the next I saw was he called his maid opened the envelope and remove some money from the envelope asked her to buy him coke in my presence. That alone almost made me not continue tithing because of what I saw, atleast he would have waited for me to go out from his house before doing so. That's why I made up my mind never to manipulate anyone in God's service and to work for my money. Truth be told we have people harmerimg this tithe is of a thing as if tyere oives depends on it But many don't understand why they should tithe in the new testament we have many Pastors threatening members if u don't pay ur tithe bad luck will follow you... No no its wrong. Dont get it twisted i believe in tithing it has worked for me, opened channels of blessing and preservation for me and likewise others .Jesus Never received tithe, neither did the apostle and Paul himself. Let's becareful to teach the truth wholy. Ministry is not business enterprise as we see today... Every man will give account of his life, so therefore let us run to obtain the price. If you are tither I urge you continue if you are not I urge you to believe in it with the new testament understanding not as a weapon on religious manipulation. But in honour to the grace that has brought you into the kingdom. A portion of all we make monthly not necessarily that 10% but something to honour him if you are comfortable nwith the 10% good. If u want to pay more good if not according to ur ability. In the new testament we don't owe GOD at all. The price has been paid. There is no amount of earthly resource we can amass that will run the economy of the kingdom. Neither do we have d ability to rob GOD. How can he who owns all things says we have robbed him the word rob is not d same literal meaning of defraud but the word used here is u have deprived me of my honour, as in the respect and honour you should give to me in providing for you... And u know what d bible says he that honour me I will honour, he that despise me I will likely esteem.
Grace is a mystery.... And the blood gave us access to this Grace were we all stand.
God bless us all
You sound very reasonably and sincerely.

I must commend you for this.

But I must say that it would have been better to completely discontinue the use of that name tithe for the purpose u claim.

That us exactly as it applies in the Catholic and Anglican churches they don't teach tithing to their members..

All you just listed up there duo sincerely, but that is exactly the problem we have in Nigeria today.. People who twist Bible versions to suit the desire.

Forget sentiment and tell people what's obtainable and allow them to decide from what was learnt. Not implanting your own angle to what was written because you have access to poolpit.

NB: tithing is not allowed in any guise.

God can't be deceived, no matter how we see this..

Mind u Jesus did. Read Matt 23: 23. Tithing is very much biblical just dat it is being abused in our today's contemperary world
If you carefully read what was written and understood it very well.. U will see when he explained who should collect tithes, what should be paid as tithes and when it's allowed to be paid..
