lilytender: This is so simple and straight forward. But, wait oooo, why didn't you brother the drunk ineffectual buffoon husband of the grammarian cantankerous shepopo do these simple things while he was there for about 6 years? How come you all suddenly remembered restructuring and secession just after you lost the 2015 presidential election? Because there is no avenue for you thieves to continue looting the treasury you now think that you can divide the country. Dem never born your mama. You all must be joking to think that a Northerner will restructure Nigeria. Nigerian unity is non-negotiable. stale. I voted Buhari |
Politics › Re: Why Nigeria Cannot Be Restructured – Gowon by Bede2u(m): 3:34pm On Oct 27, 2017 |
Mr. Gowon I know u are old but even when you were young, you have never been innovative.
We dont need to merge any state. We just need to recognise the 6 geopolitical zones as the federating units and elect governors for them.
The 36 states can be renamed as Metropols and the governors renamed mayors. They would be the federating units of the geopolitical zones.
The 774 LGAs can be scraped.
The 6 regions would have control over their resourses and share revenue to both the FG and the Metropols
The FG can own all offshore resourses and share it among all regions and metros.
Simple. |

Bari22: See this daft, corpers of 2011 he is accusing Buhari of not compensating the victims of 2011 post election violence, why Jonathan didn't compensate four years after? after all he is the winner of 2011 election not Buhari.
Buhari that pays former Biafran police after over 40 years? What exactly Jonathan achieved in his six years reign?
Please if you don't know what to say is not by force to comment.
Children of hate Our Buhari has lost credibility. And no I am not a child of hate. I am one of those millions of people who voted him in 2015. I dare say that Buhari should be the last Fulani man to rule this country... until that tribe get their acts together and come in to the 21st century. We can try Atiku.... if he too fvcks up then its over for the NW and NE in this country politically. Let me see how the 2 regions can defeat an alliance of the remaining 4 regions |

eodavids: Slow it down. Muhammadu Buhari represents hope for the common Nigerians. He means well in many areas of Nigerian fabric, but circumstances have not allowed Buhari's good intentions to manifest fully.
He is not a disaster. Just that his style of governance is not exactly the way you had wanted-but all the same, the end will justify the means.
You will say good of him in coming days/months. I voted for him and now regret it Tell me how a man who became elite since 1975 (42 yrs ago) represents hope for the common man? Does he knw whats going on in festac town or Abakpa nike or even his daura hometown |

The PDP guys need to elect its NWC fast so that they can begin rounds of talk with politicians ahead of 2019. Tinubu, Dogara, Saraki and other members of the NPDP in 2013 should be lobbied to return
Buhari should not be re-elected even if it denies the Igbos presidency in 2023.
We should be compenseted with VP (Peter Obi) and Speaker positions
SW should get senate presidency (Tinubu probably)
ND and North central should get deputy positions in NASS Nothing for NW this time

You have made it difficult for tribes of this country to see themselves as one like in the days of OBJ and yaradua. You have brought sorrow, tears and blood to our people You dont deserve any good thing in life. But its for God to decide. If God gives u any thing good now, its simply because he is God for all |

Besides you can't tell us who to vote for as our next governor.
No force on this planet, blackmail or false propaganda, can stop Dr Tony Okechukwu Nwoye from becoming the next governor of Anambra.
You can take that to any bank and cash it. lol... no court convicted buhari of any crime but we knw these.... 1. He has no certificate 2. He committed treason and coup in 1984 3. He supported boko haram in 2012 4. His utterances led to death of many in 2011 5. Let me ask anybody who plans to vote PMB in 2019.... what has he done to make Nigeria better? Which promises has he kept? He promised he would restart Nigeria airways with presidential fleets. Has he? He promised to end medical tourism. Has he? He promised to end boko haram. Has he? He promised to end corruption before it ends Nigeria. Has he? He promised to end subsidy. Has he? He promised to reflate the economy and the naira. Has he? He promised to belong to everyone and to no one. Has he? He promised to clean up ogoni land. Has he?
These are some of the reasons I voted him in 2015... he eventually didnt do them. Why will I believe and vote him again in 2019?
Ok what did he promise that he has done? |

PVision2020: Hundreds of years before Nigeria amalgamation Lagos was already an 'International' Coastal city. Portuguese slave traders, English Explorers, Arabs merchants, Christian missionaries, Africa Saharan traders, Bini Fishermen etc, were already interacting with the west Via Lagos, While your fore fathers in the east were still practising CANNIBALISM and dancing around Stark Naked. Lagos became the capital of Nigeria because Nigeria had no choice. It was the first point of call of the colonial masters due to it functioning 'international Port' and arguably the most conducive and civilise place to reside. So Nigeria owes the west for making Lagos the FCT and not the other way round. If not for Lagos who would have known there are some landlocked people called Igbo? ok tell urself that if it makes u happy. But lagos would always still belong to all Nigerians |
