Atiku don dey famz us o. Igbo today igbo tomorrow. Unto election? Well if i voted for GEJ in 2011 and Buhari in 2015 (two pple who turned out to be disasters), i might as well dash this morafuka my vote in 2019. I believe one day somebody will save nigeria. See Turkey... a nonsense country b4 now enjoys one of the highest standarďs of living in the world all within the space of 20yrs because of visionary leadership.

Well at least even if Atiku doesnt turn Nigeria around, he would at least have many Igbos in his govt. Not a bad thing if u ask me.

Atiku 2019 it is. Let the criminal lead make we rest

I dont want to engage u anymore because ur reasonning here is the reasonning of a typical yoruba bigot... which i hate with passion. I was arguing with one deji b4.... he seems more mature and makes better contributions than the silly postulations u write.

lol my arguement seemed weak even to me until i read urs. Yours is BASELESS.
Many reputable organizations put lagos as one of the worst cities in the world. Abidjan has never made such a list. Abidjan and lagos are both considered as 'beta cities'. Ok polio exists in 2 other countries (good partners we keep)

Nigeria is one big state where the 36 states are infact like local govts and whr the center calls the short. The of that center is the president or head of state. Him, only him and no one else calls the short. In nigeria's 57 yrs igbos only ruled for 6 months (Aguiyi) as executive head of state. The rest igbos u named in ur silly write up are pple who must do as they are told... they dont count.

For the sake of my education pls list igbo millitary guys who served as Admins in non-igbo states.

Until Sullivan came unboard, Enugu (my state) looked like shi.t. Today u can see neat state roads, well marked with zebra crossings and lanes, street lights, night life, Ethiopian airline working as internl airline, police cars using neat kia patrol cars, improved security in Enugu, many new road built in the villages making some village look like GRA. Enugu is yrs ahead whr it was in 1999 today, ask any Enugu guy. Until u can prove with evidence that all he did were crumbs, its just another silly nonsense from u.

I didnt vote for gej, i voted buhari however Putting igbos in power and position is actually a good thing. Ppl see soludo and ngozi okonjo iweala as presidential materials cos they were giving opportunity to serve in fg. Why did u guys vote buhari? Cos nothing from his past showed he was pro-yoruba. Many of u did for 2 reasons- cos he was supported by tinubu who y'all see as ur leader and because u feel u were under-represented in gej govt. Putting igbo politicians in power empowers them and they in turn use it to empower their kins men. I knw many pple who entered road safety easily under chidoka. I ate ekweremadu's scholarship. My friend (now late) got a job in ministry of pwer under nebo after our nysc with nebos help. Gv me that any day.
2nd niger bridge is not the only infrastructure igbos need. We need an international airport. Gej started this and it has reach up to 70% completion b4 he lost election... since then buhari's govt abandoned that project. The enugu-abakiliki/calarba express way was built by gej. Guys just dey flex that road anyhow now. He also started enugu-onitsha express way in 2015 (buhari is actively continuing it now). Education trust fund under gej started massive renewal of infrastructure in unn (and many federal unis nation wide). Unn is now a shinning new penny... ask anyone.

Why do we complain? Cos more needs to be done. Our state govs are trying but even there, more needs to be done. Our states always collected fg's allocation as and when due... dont knw why u will make dat dumb assertion.

Buhari sending millitary men in a non-combatant zone to kill an unarmed man (and his fellowers) whose case was already in court... a man who has shown he would keep his date in court is good? You are as silly as u are sick. Protests are now insurgency? U see y we cant live in the same country? U all reason like fools.... no wonder kanu called this country a zoo. In reasonable countries u dont send the millitary to do police job. Buhari's nigeria is fast turning into an unreasonable dictatorship.

I see your point and I must say that this is not the first time I am hearing them. On Buhari, I still think he has been misrepresented and greatly misunderstood. As you have rightly pointed out, our greatest challenge is our lack of development and I believe that things will get better.

The Miltary Govts favour the North alright, but we must not forget that the first coup was planned and executed by Southerners. In terms of democracy and since the 4th republic started in 1999, out of the 18 years, the South has produced the President, 14 years. And if one would discount Osinbajo's Ag Presidency, there is not much to be recorded for the North.

On Igbo Presidency, I know it will come. If a minority tribe like the Ijaw can be voted, nothing stops an Igbo man from being competitive, politically speaking and winning the Presidency. People just need to play their cards right.
By 1999, the country did not just cede the Presidency to the Yoruba as notable Nigerians like Dr Alex Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo during the PDP primaries. Yorubas candidate in that election was Olu Falae, but the rest of the Country did not agree with us. That is politics for you where the best candidates does not necessarily win. Just take a look at Donald Trump...
I disagree completely that buhari is misunderstood in se... but for the sake of education, tell me what and what he has done in/for the se in 2yrs 4months to show that igbos verdict about the man was all a big misunderstanding.

Also that the 1st coup was plotted by sotherners is irrelvant because we will never knw if their intentions were for the betterment of the country seeing that they never ruled. But we can say that juntas headed by northeners all failed to develop d country but only succeeded in giving the north undue advantage. That we are all sharing ss oil today ws because of aguiyi ironsi who believed that the oil was big enough to go round. Otherwise prior to him, the old eastern region only gave 50% of oil proceed to the center...pple still say igbos are selfish.

Nigeria has not lived up to her potential because of all of us. It will be disingenuous of anybody to try and exonerate any tribe. Igbos might not have been President for a long time, but it has not stopped their politician or representatives from "chopping". Sometimes, being President can just be a figure head, whereas people "chopping" might even be relatively unknown individuals. Those who looted Nigeria don't discuss tribe during their looting spree. All of them have helped themselves to Nigeria commonwealth and they cut across tribe.
When an average Yoruba person could not identify any Yoruba in the first 20 list from Jonathan administration, guys like Omokere and Aluko are eating fat under Madam Dieziani. But poor folks in Aba are breaking necks in defending Dieziani who does not give a damn. Wisdom is important.
Nigeria has wasted many opportunities no doubt, but we did it to ourselves. We, I mean all of us. If Nigeria gets anything right, we will claim the success and where we have failed, let us all accept our contributions. Buhari has been greatly misrepresented and misunderstood in the SE, but as time goes on people will see and feel the positive change.
No one should grudge SE for voting GEJ in 2015. Another election beckons as 2019 approaches. Voting pattern may change by then. These things are not static.
let me agree with most things u wrote.
However, the north more than any other tribe must bear the blame of Nigeria's backwardness. Except for yar'adua who brought relative peace in ss, most positives that have been recorded in this country came while a southerner is president. We should not keep putting the north in power... expecially the bigots among them. I voted buhari, but in hingsight, that was a mistake. He is not misunderstood in se at all. His motives are clear- to gv the se only what the law allows. Nothing more. I should have voted gej. Killing ipob unarmed members when he should have used dialogue? God bless Obj... that man is wise. I dont knw wat happened in odi bayelsa but i knw obj is much wiser than the bigot buhari. The only reason he has a cult fellowership in d north is because he is the nnamdi kalu of the north. He is unrepentantly pro north.
In recent times, i believe the biafra dream is less feasible now. Many igbos have integrated themselves in north and west. It would be unreasonable to ask them to up rooth their lives for biafra. The international community may not support a nigeria break up. Anoda war would be lost if not fought in unity with yorubas.
One nigeria seems the most likely future for us all... let the igbos be given a sense of belonging.. let the two political parties (like it was done for u guys in 1999) nominate igbo presidential candidates. Let igbos lead this country again to assuage freyed nerves.
We trully may be better together than apart... but wounds must be healed

Rather than see Kabba, Ilorin, Offa, Ayetoro etc as Northern territory, we can chose to see them as our eye on the North or our voice in the North. Has Saraki or Dino Melaiye / Smart Adeyemi or Pius Adesanmi seized to be Yorubas because Kwara and Kogi State are part of North central? NO. During the second republic and by 1983, Cornelius Adebayo has become the Governor of Kwara state under the Unity Party of Nigeria headed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo. See, Igbos need to start to think strategically. Society does not necessarily need to be ethnic-monolithic before such society can prosper.
so why has nigeria not prospered? Even by 3rd world standards, we are backward. Only country in the world where polio still exists. Abidjan in ivory coast looks like new york when compared to Lagos. Cattle rearers still move around with cattle even in downtown Abuja where many foreigners live and work. Electricity is as bad as the worst in Africa.. to the sad extent that cameroon gets more electricity than us, yet we are the largest producer of oil and gas in Africa. NNPC is basically an oil-importing firm. We sell crude and import refined produce cos we have no refineries. Where has Nigeria excelled? And who is the cause? Certainly not Igbos... there has neva been an igbo president. Our governors are busy building state infrastructure that were neglected by non-igbo millitary sole admins that ruled SE during millitary era... why cant fg build federal infrastructure neglected during same era?
As for voting GEJ, igbos believed that their interests were more protected in Gej than buhari. Its not an unreasonable believe as we can now clearly see by buhari's actions against us. Igbos believed that a 2nd geh term would see SE get many fg projects. Dnt blame dem for voting gej cos u voted buhari.. their fears were relevant

1 Hausa 25.1%
2 Yoruba 21.0%
3 Igbo 18.0%
4 Ijaw 10.0%
5 Kanuri 4.0%
6 Fulani 3.9%
7 Ibibio 3.5%
8 Tiv 2.5%
* Other Groups 12%

This is according to CIA World Factbook
But lol we all know this is a lie. Northern leaders have always manipulated census figures. They count Nigeriens and Chadian as Nigerians during census. Something not obtained in the south.

But even going by this figure, we can see that the south not the north has the real voting power. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th largest ethnic group (52%) are southerners. Do you know why however Fulanis have managed to rule this country since 1979? Because they have been able to make all the ethnic groups in the north behave as one... even though they really aren't one in any way. The same thing that divides the south is very present in the north; Christianity and Islam, different tribes and tongue, different cultures and history etc. This is what Yorubas have not been able to do with the tribes of the south. I make bold to say that Yorubas not Hausas should have been ruling Nigeria since 1979.

Whose fault is it? Nobody's! However, politically, Igbos, Ijaws and Ibibios have all spoken with one voice since 1979. Yorubas? They have always played it different from the rest of the south.

The north, the entire north only have one social cultural group, The Arewa Consultative Forum. In the south you get as many as there are ethnic groups; Ohaneze, Afenifere, Ijaw youth council etc. The north, the entire north have only one governors forum, The Northern Governors Forum. The south has three, lol. Whose fault is this? Again, no one's!

The Igbos have been accused recently of playing the worst form of politics because of their seeming rejection of APC. Well, that is far from the truth. Since 1979, Igbos and the Niger Deltans have never been in opposition till 2015. Yorubas have never been in the ruling party till 2015. Plus it is worthy of note that it is Buhari not APC (and not Hausa/Fulani) that Igbos have rejected, because of his past extreem views (I voted him though).

What is the way foward and what stands to be achieved by following this way forward? I believe a southern political dominance is a good thing. If the north controls the legislature because of their landmarks, the south should control every other arm of government and use it to further southern interests and liberal ideology. This can be achieved... but we need to first of all stop the hate between Igbos and Yorubas (online and offline). We need to collapse the three different governors forums in the south into one Southern Governors Forum with Lagos as its capital. We need Ohaneze, Afenifere et all to come together and form one consultative body for the south. Last and most important we need the 17 governors of the southern regions to abandon the PDP and APC and decamp to one political party in the run up to 2019 politicking. And we need TINUBU to contest in this party against Atiku and Buhari. He may choose David Mark as running mate to capture the middle belt as well. The ENTIRE south will stand behind him as the leader of the south (not as yoruba leader). Lets see if the north will smell presidency again.

Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw and Ibibio, we are all southeners first and we need to forgive each other and move on. Though tribe, tongue and religion may differ among us (as it also differs with the north), we can present ourselves as ONE and take turns ruling this beautiful black nation. The north has done a terrible job of it. They should now give way (while burying their head in shame) and allow the progressive tribes of the south to take turns cleaning up their mess.

If its politics, let it remain politics. Dnt gv it an ethnic undertone. U claim igbos are hateful.. one day take a time and go tru comments here and found out which is higher or which generates more like... . Igbo hate comment or yoruba hate comment. Igbos would come to ur area to make money and reinvest the money in ur area and even employ ur pple and u still feel they are hate filled? How many yorubas have houses in PH? Or is ph not a big city? But igbos even build houses in Ado ekiti but they are hate filled ba? Ok.

That is a very fat lie. Cameroon is one of the worst countries in Africa. Take it from someone that hates Nigeria more than the devil himself.

igbo must learn to live above sentiment!
not only Kaduna Nzeogwu killed all prominents politicians of other region, spared their's but igbo nation wide jubilation the atrocity.
No igbo leaders condemned the killing!
still igbo had chance to correct the error, but refused, because it was igbo who became president after the sad event but did nothing!
same scenario happen to kanu agitation hate speeches, no igbo condemn it until it back fired!
this never done in civilize world!
u see wen u hate a pple, u tend to think the worse of them. A responsible govt should have either called for talk with kanu or go it the legal way by bringing him to book. Buharis govt (which i voted for by the way) is not a responsible govt. U now say that igbos support nnamdi kanu hate speeches but u were all quick to say then that majority of igbos were not even in support of kanu... that majority of igbos didnt even want biafra... that non of igbo elites were involved in the agitation... that only miscreants support kanu... Wat changed? Or do u select which narrative to sell for ur views at any given time? U have to stay one place. For ur info there were no social medias in the 60s and no electricity.. many igbos didnt knw wat happened and could not have jubiliated. Only igbos in lagos, kaduna and other big cities could have known wat happened... and if they rejoiced, i had no doubt that it was because of the divisive nature of ahmadu bello
