I will be the happiest man alive of/when the igbos finally get their wish and live us Nigerians alone. You bigots go on the internet and every YouTube video calling Nigeria a zoo. I grew up brainwashed into thinking the Hausas are babaric and intolerant against the igbos..for the first time i realise how cancerous the igbos have been to this country. You carried the first coup in Nigeria's history. You murdered the hausa ruling elite and provokeda civil war that cost 2 million people their lives. At the end of the day the cowardice of Ujukwu and gullibility of the igbos were displayed.

Again you have started. You are hell bent on instigating strife. Its high time Nigerians demand the igbos go their seperate ways. The Hausas have made it known they will support moves to actualise the state of Biafra. We should folliw suit. Cut them off, let them trade with Cameroon nd the Central African Republic.
But meanwhile.... let me tell u, Igbos did not murder hausa ruling elite. Kaduna Nzeogwu and 6 other Igbos along with many soldiers of different tribes murderd top govt officials. They didnt consult the igbos b4 doing this. Many igbos living in villages only got to knw what had happened when the war broke out. Why did war break out? because murtala muhammed and other hausa soldiers didnt knw to differentiate politics with ethnic bigotry. For the deed of these 7 igbos (who by the way were majorly born in the north), these guys surported an ethnic cleansing of innocent igbos living in the north who were mostly oblivious of what was going on. Many of them have been living in the north all their lives and spoke hausa fluently... that fact didnt save them. Ojukwu asked gowon to stop the killing and bring the killers to book in the interest of one nigeria.. gowon didnt. Ojukwu was forced to threaten to break away with his territory which alltimately led to war. During the war... while igbos were targeting nigeria's millitary, Nigeria were targering igbo civilians... yet a repeat of wat led to the war in the first place. Innocent igbos died because of an hausa-brought up kaduna nzeogwu who probably doesnt even knw d way to his villiage in Asaba. Igbos yet again were starved to death to end the war quickly... a war which they neva asked for. It is these bad blood and the fact that the igbos have continued to suffer the after effect of the civil war that gave nnamdi kanu large fellowership. The govt should have called for talks but instead.... as usual they called for violence.. and yet again, violence on non millitant populace.
The hate is mutual. But the hate was not started by igbos who were largely not interested in politics. Go to youtube and listen to Ahmadu Bellos interviews

(quote) Nigeria despite her size and power have never harboured expansionist policies.[/quote]Lol This one is calling for Nigeria to annex south cameroon? Unto giant of Africa ba? Try am make France revisit the Biafra question. Truth is I want Nigeria to succeed and I want it to remain one... but the idea that Igbos who have supported other ethnic groups to succeed politically and economically are being denied same previleges infuriates me. I want to be patriotic and say that Nigeria should invade cameroon and annex southern cameroon... but the patriotism in me died with Nnamdi kanu. Buhari has his faults but the igbos need to be careful. The man has been very patient with igbos. Nobody would take the destabilization of his government from a tribe that has shown absolute and undue hatred his person and Government.

Igbos should allow reason prevail in the current circumstance.
dont be silly my friend. Igbos are a tribe.... Buhari has highest 30 years extra to live on earth but the Igbo tribe will remain. It is therefore Buhari who must let reason prevail. He wrongly arrested a largely unknown Kanu in 2015 and held him against 3 court orders. This was what made kanu popular and wat is still making him popular.

Do that and see the progress and development of igbos/igboland rolled back by decades. As a fellow Christian {though Yoruba}, i can only beg igbos to apply utmost restraint and critical thinking at this critical juncture in the struggle. The fact is that millions of Nigerians want to see you braggarts cut to size. Yo have pestered and insulted Nigerians for the past 6 years {Yes, right fron Jonathan's ascendancy}. This is the time for calm and not rash action spurred by illogical sentiments or hate. I would hate to see fellow Christians killed in their millions. Put a leash on that war monger, Kanu!

A word is enough for the wise.
for the sake of discussion pls tell me what exactly Igbos have done in the past 6 yrs that can be described as insulting nigerians or pestering them. Thanks

No one or group is stronger than the federal government, you can only try but will be defeated. For those of you waiting on the UN or amnesty international to arrest Buhari, let me remind you that obasanjo wiped out a community in Odi and till now he's still a free man. If you think the white man gives a fvck about your black IPOB asses continue to sacrifice yourselves in vain. Biafra will never come. The unity of Nigeria is not negotiable. We will resist all divisive tendencies and ensure you embrace patriotism by force. Even ojukwu the masterminder of Biafra died a patriotic nigerian with the Nigerian flag wrapped around his coffin. It is a win for the Igbos and another loss for the Niger Delta.
I still maintain that the Igbo's are bringing population and domination to the table. That's what your post is screaming. Forming a Niger Delta Republic is still the best option for the tribes in the South South region if Nigeria decides to break up. This will be a win for the Niger Delta.
lol. Nigeria will not decide to break up... this u can be sure of. Forming an ND republic is best? Go form it then. You forgot that population is actually good when the populace are not nut cases but educated ppl like Igbos are. You will not be convinced so i wont try convincing u anymore. While u are waiting for Nigeria to decide to break up, SE states will keep getting monthly alocation from your oil. A win for me. U guys did it in 1967 when you sabotaged ojukwu and the old eastern region where u guys got to keep 50% of oil proceeds. Lol the guys u betrayed us for are currently giving u 13%. And to make u believe u belong, they allowed one of ur sons to test the presidency for a term. Lol. Wisdom of the Niger Delta should be studied scientifically. You are currently having it TERRIBLE in Nigeria and Igbos are offering a partnership to seced with u bearing in mind that neither of us can do it alone but that together we stand a chance... u say no! Well its really a shame because hausas are about to win.... AGAIN. Because once again (50 yrs after the first try) we are not united to achieve anything meaningful.
Igbos need u because of access to the ocean and this will never change. Therefore any time u guys come to ur senses, we would still be willing to seced with u. I imagin that this will be wen ur oil finishes and nigeria has no more use for u.

Remarkably, you are saying that IPOB are bad while eccouraging the Nigerian armed forces to commit extrer-judicial murder of unarmed like they are licenced to kill. It shows you as a hypocrite.

The IPOB you are talking about has no weapons, has no record of being violent and has never touched or killed anyone.

Did you ask why the people pelted the amoured truck? You think that if it was you that your loved one got shot, you wouldnt pelt the truck? The video of the young man with a bullet in his leg, shot by the Army has gone viral since yesterday. Why will people not pelt the Army when the Army is acting like a gang of trigger happy thugs?

Kanu is in his house sleeping, if any of the uniformed forces has any business with him, they can go and knock on the gate and request his attention.

Not storm the place and when people ask why, they open fire. That is most unprofessional and illegal. And you are asking why people pelted them

The BSS you are talking about is an unarmed security group same as any vigilante group you can find in any part of the country. Why would an unarmed group face an armed group such as the Army?

Kanu and IPOB have the right to agitate about anything, be or Biafra or otherwise. Chapter 4 of the Nigerian contitution gives them tharmt right as long as the are non violent about it. Where has IPOB been violent? Have they killed anybody? Are they armed? It is even IPOB that have been killed in the hundreds.

You Nigerians should stop celebrating your armed forces acting like deranged armed thugs, it is nothing to proud about.

Smiles. Finally found a sensible Biafra suporter that want to engage in an intellectual debate on Biafra.I hope you will convince me with a superior arguement on why Niger Delta should join Biafra the way Nnamdi Kanu is waiting for tue Federal Government to convince him with a superipr arguement on why Biafra should remain in Nigeria.

Everyone in Nigeria knows that you cannot put IGBO and the word TRUST in a sentence. So the story of Igbo's not needing the Niger Delta oil will definitely change in Biafra. You guys have the population just like the Hausas currently have in Nigeria and with the antecedents of the average Igbo man, I don't need TB Joshua to tell me that you guys will definitely secure the the Niger Delta oil resources for yourselves. You guys will have the numbers on your side bro. With numbers come domination. Leaving the Niger Delta to control their resources will not be an attractive proposition for a landlocked region.

I appreciate your honesty in agreeing to the fact that you need the Niger Delta in order to have access to the sea. Let me ask you a question. Don't you think forming a Niger Delta republic will be better choice for the Niger Delta people than joining Biafra? Since majority of the tribes in the South South region believes that the Igbo's will dominate them which you guys have already done in the past during the era of the Eastern region. Why should the Ijaws, Efiks, and Ibibios believe the once domineering Igbos will suddenly turn a new leaf just because the name of the country has changed from Nigeria to Biafra? BTW, the Igbos are major players in the Oil business. Ask Ifeanyi Ubah where he made his billions from.
of course having an independent Niger Delta is better (in the short run). But goodluck with achieving that. Igbos bring strenght to the agitation. As for issue of trust... Igbos will most likely dominate politics (with Ijaws) of Biafra... just as England dominates uk politics... but the constitution is the constitution and i already heard Kanu speak confederation severally... that is, federating units will not be the current artificials states created by Nigeria, but tribes. That is the entire Igbo will be one state while entire ijaw for instance will be another state (and so on.) And all states will own their resources and contribute to center for defence, foreign affairs and currency operations and of course federal police and judiciary. Every individual should also pay a federal income tax and every business pays a federal tax as well. It will be the law before biafra's first govt is formed. Nnamdi kanu said it.
Dominating political is nothing if u are getting ur dues. Also igbos will patronise ur sea ports and u earn massively like Lagos from vats. Its a win-win babaa

Mr, It is the Igbo's that stand to benefit most from Biafra. What will Niger Delta benefit by joining Biafra. The Niger Delta is bringing its vast oil resources and access to the sea to the table. Can you tell me what the Igbo's are bringing to the table? I am waiting for you to convince me on why Niger Delta should join Biafra.
vast oil resources that u dont own now. Vast oil resources that would be ALL YOURS (not Igbo's) in a Biafran confederation. We bring our strenght in numbers to gain the independence (which you alone or us alone cant gain) and our lands and resources (oil, coal, limestone, agric fertility) to compliment the Biafran economy. Believe me Igbos dont want ur oil. Igbos have never played the oil game. Igbos want free from Hausa-fulani muslims and an access to the ocean other than lagos. What we truly, truly want from u is access to the ocean. U all can keep ur oil.

What do yoy mean Biafra is not from the hearts of the people? Are you in the hearts of the people? If you really care about what is in the hearts of the people,
, support a referendum like Kanu let the people speak for themselves. If Igbos vote by a majority to remain part of Nigeria, the issue of Biafra will die forever.

Diversity and population does not mean anything if the country is not working as a nation. Switzerland has a population of just 8 million people but has a bigger GDP than Nigeria. Belgium is just 10 million people but is richer than Nigeria.

Nigeria is stopping the Igbo nation because the coal in Enugu and the limestone in Abakiliki is not under the Igbo nation, it is under the Nigerian ministry of solid minerals.

The Oil and Gas in places like Ohaji, Aguleri, Ukwa is under NNPC. The Coal in Enugu is under Nigerian Coal Corporation. Igbo land does not control its resources because we are under Nigeria. Nigeri decide what we use, when and how.

It is time for the Igbo nation to be independent and manage its self outside Nigeria
You are a very patient person. I like ur posts

While I do not think the system as presently constituted is sustainable, we must be careful not to assume total disintegration will automatically mean progress, the same crop of leaders and some of the corrupt youths will still have the opportunity to lead the different nations formed, hence a change in the status quo must me accompanied by a change in consciousness, in our attitude towards our fellow man, towards work, humanity and life in general. If there was one sure way South Sudan and Libya would not be where they are today, we must do what needs to be done the ways it's supposed to be done with the interest of all in mind and not allow ourselves to be driven by emotions, parochial sentiments and hate. It is very naive to think once the country disintegrates we will all live happily ever after.

Southerners are fools and the north knows this. Nnamdi kanu is calling for Biafra and everyday you hear one foolish southern group coming out to dissociate themselves from the call. Worst still is that majority are Niger Delta groups (people who stand to benefit most from Biafra)
This conference of cause is just to make the south believe that the north is taking the call for restructure seriously. Believe me, nothing will come out of it. Nigeria will remain the way it is presently for a long time.
However if the south comes together and demand for disintegration now that kanu has raised the heat, the north will be the ones calling for restructure! An independent South means the North loses everything, including access to sea.
But no, keep hating on kanu... he called on yorubas to be killed (Adeyinka Grandson called on Igbos to be killed but we are not bortherd, same with Buhari in 2011)

Read my comment again and you will discover that I was actually hammering on the offshore resources.

My position is this; if the secessionists succeed in their quest for a new country, would other regions also ask for a share of the offshore resources found in the new country? Your answer to this question is what determines your position on restructuring.

Like you earlier asked if the FG should also hand over the Kanji Dam to Niger State. My response to that is in the affirmative. FG should focus on Defence, Immigrations, Currency, National Orientation, etc. There should be total restructuring brother.

If as a citizen, you are desirous of doing business anywhere, the federating region where the business interests is located should take charge of everything.

Thanks for the mention.
Lets agree to disagree. If I were from ND I would probably hold your view too... so no blames here. But I spent a whole day thinking about that restructure model. I needed to come up with something that would be acceptable to at least four of the six zones. I believe I have done that.

I have not fully understood the point u are making, if there's anyway you can make it more understandable, I'd like that.

OK, Bonny is in Rivers State, offshore oil drilling takes place there, from what you have said, even though this drilling is taking place in Rivers State, the fact that it is not onshore, this puts it under the control of the federal government?

I also asked if this is in accordance with international maritime law, just Yes/No is enough for this.

you mentioned the Navy being in control of Nigerian waters, so is the army in charge of the land and the airforce the air. if that's a justification, why can't we say onshore oil belongs to the federal government by virtue of the army?

again, please don't get pissed, just an honest question.
yes air belongs to the airforce. That is why FG can tell British airways not to fly over our air space. ND cannot for instance counter FG and tell British airways to fly over ND instead. Land however is usually treated differently. Now if NLNG is based in bonny but doing offshore drilling, they should be taxed by ND state govt but the offshore oil belongs to us all. Google North sea oil and check its ownership. U will see dat its owned by the entire scotland.... not the coastal area. (Mind u scotland is a country thats why they come to world cup as different from England). Also check canada's northern oil deposits and its ownership

People like Nnamdi Kanu and Asari Dokubo are proposing that Biafra becomes a confederation which I believe it should be. Every Region controls 100% of its resources and pays an agreed percentage to the center, nobody will be able to marginalise anybody. It wont even matter who the ruling class are.

Gowon created Rivers state to cause hate between brothers as well as steal the Oil wealth of the people. In the old Eastern Region, the provinces were getting 50% of whatever came out of their land. In Rivers state, they are getting 13%. So who lost at the end of the day?

@Bede2u, I disagree with you on your fourth submission on how to restructure the failed country.
How can you put up such a proposal which is one of the factors fuelling the secessionist agitations?

If by dint of luck or war, the secessionists become successful in their agitations and secede from Nigeria, would other regions claim part ownership of the offshore resources found in the coastal areas of the new country?

This is not tenable and a deliberate attempt to hold onto the resources of some regions while the rest own theirs totally. The activities of oil and gas exploration industries affect our lands negatively and the impacts are not a child's play.

If we must restructure, then it must be total and fair.

NNPC and her subsidiaries would automatically be handed over to the regions where they hitherto operated.
Only a percentage of all revenues that accrued to each region will be paid to the central government.
You and I know that my submission is more realistic than yours. But what we are talking about is offshore oil. That is oil found in Nigeria's territorial waters. Not oil found in Niger Delta. Are u saying that ND should also own our territorial waters? Which was given to us due to our landmarks? Thats not being fair! Also that FG Should hand over companies to u is unfair. SHOULD FG HANDOVER KAINJI DAM TO NIGER? Lets be reasonable... thats how we can progress. Check my old posts to knw where my loyalty lies
