The game of power in this country have been occultic and Buhari was never a saint....

1.He tried to give money to the SNG led by Tunde Bakare who visited him after he had started his presidency upon Yar'Adua's death. The SNG rejected it, but many who had been visiting did not reject such waste of public funds.

After the Oct 1st 2010 bombing at Eagle Square Abuja, he tried to exonorate MEND from the attack on the sole reason that his fellow NigerDeltans could not do such to a government of their own (Only to forget his own script and betray that position publicly in 2015 while campaigning and revealing his presidential security knew about the planned attack specifically by MEND, so they hurriedly took him out to safety), and rather wanted to use such incident to rope in IBB and some other Northern presidential aspirants in the PDP. He even got Raymond Dokpesi (who at that time was an IBB campaign coordinator) arrested concerning that very bombing. He showed himself too early to be clannish and not ready to be impartial where it concerned his own ethnic stock. This incident and his later revelation showed how twisted a mind Jonathan was to use an incident he already knew the details and identity of the perpetrators, to try and rope in his political opponent within the same PDP.

3. His government promised that before the end of that year 2010, that power would be stable. By November, his government was singing another song and had shown itself to be dubious.

4. Just as Buhari began showing himself to be mentally bereft of any brilliance from the early days of his government, Jonathan who was now in the spotlight as president rather than the saving shadows of vice president, showed that he was totally clueless about his own office.

5. While Buhari and Tunde Bakare were campaigning, a senior member of the Jonathan campaign said Bakare being born a Muslim and now a Christian, deserved to be killed for daring to abandon Islam. A Christian Jonathan who was president did not deem it fit to denounce such from his campaign team. After his victory, he appointed such an obnoxious mind to higher office.


It would always be remembered that he avoided the presidential debate where other top contenders made their pitch to Nigerians, he rather settled for a government media sponsored session with DBanj.


You do not need a 4 yr term to realise that someone you looked up to is useless. Those who voted Jonathan realised this, just as those who voted Buhari also realise same. Both groups voted their choice despite protestations from fellow Nigerians that turned out to be valid.
