MUMBAI: Actress Jiah Khan's mother told police that her
daughter was in a "live-in relationship" for a year with
boyfriend Suraj Pancholi who was today remanded in
police custody till June 13 by a local court a day after
being arrested for allegedly abetting her suicide.
Suraj, son of actor-couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina
Wahab, was arrested last night on the charge of abetting
the suicide of the 25-year-old actress who hanged herself
at her Juhu residence last Monday.

Suraj was sent in police custody by the court after the
prosecution said his interrogation was necessary following
allegations of threat, assault and rape levelled against
him by the actress in a note found three days after her
suicide.
In a new twist to investigations, Jiah's mother Rabiya told
police that the 'Nishabd' actress and Suraj were in "live-in
relationship" for nearly a year, a senior police officer
said. "Rabiya also told us Jiah was completely shattered when
Suraj sent her a 'break-up' bouquet. This was one of the
reasons behind the young actress' extreme step. Suraj
had promised to marry Jiah," the officer said.
However, there was no evidence to link Suraj's actor-
father Aditya to the case, the officer added.

Police are also verifying in which hospital the distraught
actress had undergone abortion. Though the note, purportedly written by Jiah, mentioned the word 'rape', police are yet to take a decision on slapping the charge of sexual assault against the accused.

Meanwhile, Rabiya tweeted "my daughter had bruises on
her jaw. She was hit badly that pushed her to the end
path. I wish I was there. How dare he (Suraj) hit her!"
Suraj has been booked under IPC Section 306 (abetment
of suicide). His domestic help would again be called for
recording of statement to corroborate the evidence
gathered by the police in the case.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has undergone a
successful shoulder surgery at Mumbai's Lilavati hospital
today.
According to TV reports, Shah Rukh Khan has been
advised rest for a few weeks after which he will be joining
the promotions of Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express.
Shah Rukh's teenager son Aryan, who is studying at the
Sevonoaks School in London, had come down to be by his
father's side. His wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana
were also there with Shah Rukh Khan at the Lilavati
hospital.
Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to head to London for
treatment, but he finally chose to undergo treatment in
India. The reason behind this sudden change of plan by
King Khan is because he felt that the trip to London,
surgery and recovery time will severely affect the
schedules of his underproduction film Chennai Express.
While the nature of his injury is basically a muscle tear,
but the actor's condition worsens when he does action and
dance sequences.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), will appear on "Extraaa Innings T20" during the cricket extravaganza's final face-off to promote his forthcoming film "Chennai Express".

The actor has come up with a promotional trailer for his appearance on the show as well and has urged his fans to "express yourself". The title track of the Rohit Shetty directorial plays in the background of the promo.

"Watch the IPL finals with me and express yourself," says Shah Rukh in the promo for the show, which airs on Set MAX. He might even launch the official trailer of the movie during the IPL final Sunday.

"Chennai Express", which also features Deepika Padukone, will hit the screens in August. Deepika wrapped up the film's shoot Thursday.

Producer Ratan Jain currently has no plans for "Baazigar"
sequel, but says he may do it after couple of years, but not
without Shah Rukh Khan.

"Yes, I am contemplating with the idea of the sequel to
'Baazigar', but not right now. I am busy with my other projects. May be three to four years down the line, I will make a sequel to 'Baazigar' ," Jain, whose brother Ganesh Jain had produced the crime thriller, told IANS.

"However, I will not make the sequel without Shah Ruh.
So let's see how things fall in place. It's too early to comment on anything at this point of time," he added.

"Baazigar", the 1993 blockbuster, was Shah Rukh's first
blockbuster. Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the film
introduced Shah Rukh and Kajol's pair on the screen as
well as introduced Shilpa Shetty in filmdom.
Meanwhile, Jain is set to roll out the sequel to "Dhadkan"
with a fresh star cast. The 2000 hit love triangle had Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty.

"The film is in its scripting stage. It will be a fresh film
and not a continuation. We won't repeat the same star
cast. It will have a new star cast," said Jain.

Bollywood baadshah Shahrukh Khan was conferred with
Chevalier Sivaji Award, constituted after veteran Tamil actor Sivaji Ganeshan, Saturday here at the 7th edition of Vijay awards. Shahrukh received the award from the hands of Kamal Haasan, Vijay and members from the family of Sivaji Ganeshan.

"I have enjoyed working with Kamal Haasan and Ajith Kumar in my career. I may be the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL cricket league, but my favorite team is Chennai Super Kings," said Shahrukh while receiving his award.

Shahrukh, 47, worked with Kamal Haasan in Tamil-Hindi bilingual ' Hey Ram' and with Ajith Kumar in Hindi film 'Asoka '. King Khan handed over special category awards to actor Vijay and filmmaker A R Murugadoss. The awards were presented to actors under different categories for the year 2012.

ban on SRK

With an unrelenting MCA determined to keep Wankhede stadium off limits for
Shah Rukh Khan, MNS leader Raj Thackeray and the Congress party on
Tuesday batted for lifting the five-year ban on the actor imposed after last
year’s unsavoury brawl involving him.
While MNS chief Raj Thackeray termed Mumbai Cricket Association’s action
as “childish”, Maharashtra Congress spokesman Sachin Sawant said the ban
was “not a democratic punishment“.
“Whatever happened (at) that time was wrong. The chapter is closed now. He
should be allowed inside Wankhede stadium. He is not a terrorist who should
be denied entry,” Mr. Thackeray told reporters.
He said such “childishness” should stop and the Bollywood actor, the
principal owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, be permitted entry.
Earlier, in an email sent today to MCA president Ravi Savant, MPCC
spokesman Sachin Sawant said since Mr. Khan had publicly apologised for
the incident, the stadium should not be out of bounds for the superstar.
“After the apology, we feel that it would be in the interest of sports if your
esteemed organisation shows true sportsman spirit and allows entry to Mr.
Khan. It is not the question of Shah Rukh Khan as an actor, but of any citizen
- a ban is not a democratic punishment especially when the person has
apologised,” Mr. Sawant said.
“I request you to kindly reconsider the punishment given to him and allow
him entry for today’s match,” the MPCC spokesman wrote.
The Kolkata team, reigning champion of the T20 league, are to take on
Mumbai Indians at Wankhede this evening and Mr. Khan would be forced to
watch the proceedings on TV if MCA does not rescind its decision, which
seems quite unlikely.
The MCA, which has refused to budge from its tough stand despite
reconciliation efforts by IPL chairman and Union Minister Rajiv Shukla, had
yesterday asked the local police station to prevent Mr. Khan from entering
the stadium.
“We wrote a letter to Marine Lines police station asking them not to allow
Shah Rukh Khan inside the stadium tomorrow (when Kolkata Knight Riders
play Mumbai Indians). This was after the police had asked us to send a letter
to that effect,” MCA president Mr. Savant said.
Mr.Khan was banned for five years from entering MCA premises, including
the Wankhede Stadium, by the Association’s Managing Committee, headed by
the late Vilasrao Deshmukh, on May 18 last year, after he was involved in a
fracas with the security staff and officials of the cricket body following
KKR’s victory over MI two nights earlier.
The actor had, however, denied any misconduct and said he reacted only
after children, including his kids, were “manhandled” by the security staff at
the stadium.
Tonight’s match will be the first KKR outing in Mumbai after last year’s
incident.
“Action (to ban Shah Rukh Khan) was taken by late Vilasrao Deshmukh (in
his capacity as president of MCA), who is no longer with us and was himself
a Congressman. When the concerned person (Shah Rukh) himself has not
bothered to apologise to MCA, I fail to understand why the Congress is
concerned about this matter,” Mr. Savant told PTI when reached for his
reaction.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Shahrukh Khan is shooting at Wai in Satara
district for his upcoming film ‘Chennai Express’
There were speculations that the actor would address the media, but sources
said that he was in Wai for work on his film.

Story :

Shootout At Wadaala is based upon true incidents that happened in Mumbai in 1970′s and 80′s between Bombay underworld and police. Manohar Arjun Surve aka Manya Surve (John Abraham) is a son of a gangster, Manya does not want to follow his father’s footsteps, wants to pass his degree with good marks and earn a respectful job. But however when Manya is sentenced to jail after police accuse him of assisting his brother in murdering a gangster where Manya actually tries to save his brother. Gutted Manya Surve who is in jail becomes even more angrier after his brother is killed in jail and learns fighting skills from an inmate in order to become tougher. Manya eventually runs away from the jail with an inmate Sheikh Muneir(Tussar Kapoor) and starts a new gang against the likes of Zubair Imtiaz Haksar(Manoj Bajpayee) and Dilawar Imtiaz Haksar(Sonu Sood). Rest of the movie is about how does the Bombay police lead by ACP Ishaque Bagwan ends the gang wars by encountering the gangsters one by one.

Artist Performances :

John Abraham did a brilliant job as a good man who turns into dangerous gangster. John suited the character perfectly and he was exceptional with his dialogue delivery. Anil Kapoor did the role of a sincere police officer who wants to end Mumbai underworld and did his job perfectly, no complaints whatsoever. Manoj Baypayee had relatively less screen time but he was undoubtedly the best actor in the movie, he played role of a cruel,fearless and sarcastic gangster and did an outstanding job. Soonu sood and kangna Ranaut were decent and played their part well.

Technical Aspects :

Movie was completely shot in old Mumbai. Director has taken care of every single detail in the movie such that the locations pertain to 1970′s era. Camera work was done exceptionally well where every action sequence looked stylish. Music of the movie is a huge asset, songs are good and background score was very engaging. Overall movie is technically very well presented.

Analysis :

Movie starts off with John Abraham narrating his story to Anil Kapoor in a police van which is en route to hospital after John was shot badly by police. 1st half of the movie is very engaging and interesting where Manya slowly starts building his gang after Haskar brothers refuse to take into their gang. Meanwhile Anil Kapoor and his team keep on hunting some notorious gangsters. First half ends with good punch with audience very much involved in the movie. 2nd half starts off slowly but gathers pace gradually when Manya starts becoming a threat for police after couple of big profile killings. Latter part of 2nd half is dragged a bit with less interesting scenes. Then comes the climax of the movie which has the main shootout episode which was shot well without deviating from authenticity of real incident.

On whole Shoot At Wadala is the movie that was written well but there were some voids in the script at places. Major assets of the movie are its music, dialogues and actor’s performances. Every character in the movie is very well defined and enacted by the actors such that viewers are always engaged to screen . Audience were relived in the middle with 3 item songs with hot women and catchy music . Shootout At Wadala has all the ingredients of a ‘paisa vasool’ flick and will do good business at the box-office, it can attract both multiplex and single screen audience.

A leading publication quoted the actor as saying, "I can't become a politician all of a sudden. It's a professional field and you have to educate yourself for that."

The publication further quoted him as saying, "I don't I look down on politics. Asking me whether I've thought of entering politics is as good as asking me if I've given a thought to becoming an astronaut," he said, adding that as far as he is concerned, acting is what suits him best. It's what I've done all my life. I think I should try and do what I do best, which is also questionable at times. Honestly, I've no inclination towards politics."

Shootout at Wadala is an antecedent of Shootout lokhadwala both produced by White Feathers production: the producer of Kaante and Musafir to mention few.
I believe white feathers chose to be very decent interms of their serial project other than Don series or Dabang. Rather shootout at wadala concentrates on those moments, people, places and the intriguing events before the shootout at lokadwala.
