FamilyRe: Why Are My Friends In Nigeria Always Asking Me For Money? by Beline(f): 3:41pm On May 04, 2007
teach them how to fish instead of giving them fish because you would not be able to meet up with their demands (get them something to do that will help them in many other ways)

but what they should do is come up with some sort of exam for all politicians to take. the questions should be issue-based. depending on what your responses to the questions are, the politician will be recommended to be on the left or on the right, sort of a conservative and labour thing.

that way, we move into a totally new realm of politiking in nigeria: issue-based
this made me laughed grin

what exam? or do you think the best student in the exam is the best person with good vision?

CultureRe: Traditional Marriage Or 'White Wedding'? by Beline(f): 12:07pm On May 04, 2007
I don't agree with this statement. My uncle wedded in a catholic church many years before he did the traditional ceremony.  They did not have the finances to do the two at the same time and the bride's father requested that they post pone the trad. The only thing I know is that many churches require proof of the girl's family consent and performance of the traditional rites usually suffices

Atleast the bride's parents gave their consent or you want to tell me he did not pay the bride price before the church wedding? I'm certain Catholic Church will not wed you without this be done.
PoliticsRe: Some 'Experts' Are Advocating A Two-party System by Beline(f): 11:45am On May 04, 2007
Anyone that suggest two party system in Nigeria is equally suggesting for one party system because at the end of the day the ruling party will occupy all the seat in the House both at state and federal level thereby not giving room for opposition and even when the opposition party get some seat in the House what will be their impact?

Let's consider PDP and AC as the only party in Nigeria, with the number of state won by PDP and AC only Lagos what will be the AC's impact as all Motions and Bills will be pass in favour of PDP who are the majority.

I strongly appreciate multi-party system because those other party in the House will form a minority group that will be strong enough to oppose PDP in so many ways.

So my word to MR Two Party System, NIGERIA IS GOING FORWARD PLEASE LET IT BE!!!

Did he really give up all income? If yes, how does he maintain himself and his family?

Is he living on charity or what?

Nigerians need to be communicated to in very clear and truthful terms especially when these people seek to lead us.
I think what he mean by giving up all income is not taking active part in all his businesses

Zimba,

Please accept my sincere sympathy, since it has come to this stage there is nothing you or we here can do other than you taking consolate in God

I know what it takes to loose the one you love, if there is such pains of missing your love due to distance how much more of missing the person for life.

Sometime as human i felt this life is not fair but as children of God we are told to be thankful to God in every situation we find ourselves. You don't need to cry or be sorrowful I know how difficult it is but find time to read motivational or inspirational books that will give you reason to live

If you believe in life after death pray for her soul each time you remember her, I PRAY THAT THE COMFORTER (HOLY SPIRIT) GIVE YOU THE REASON TO LIVE ON THROUGH CHRIST OUR LORD, AMEN.
