It doesn't matter as long as you have the money there. It is not compulsory it is all in cash. Any assets that can turn to money is also accepted.

Thanx a lot Oga Bellong. Pls do u know how much SA nomination costs?

Go with Northern territory.. Whatever you are given, it is still better than South Australia at the moment.

Ok. Thanx a lot.

sammywemmy, inspiring story you got up there. I caught the wind of your movement from my "whistle blower" just yesterday, so I was late in contacting you. I pray your centuries in the land will be positively memorable.
Chief bellong, I sight you here sir, good morning. bellacious want to know if she should get SA state nomination (489), since they are somehow fast, or try luck with NT (190) where she might still end up getting 489 cos of their notoriety with giving 489( from our discussion ni oooo, I no be winch).

Thanx a lot sister Mii.

What is your question?

My question is whether I shld go for SA 489 or NT on 190(though I dont know my chances of getting it). Also do I have to pay for both nominations? Thanx
Travel / Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Bellacious: 8:00pm On Jul 05, 2017
Pls my e-family I need ur suggestions, my occupation is only being sponsored by SA on 489 and NT on 190 and 489. And I learnt that NT is so notorious in giving 489 instead of 190. What do u guys think? Oga Bellong and other gurus in the house Abeg make una put mouth for dis matter.

Dear House,

Please i need assistance as regards aussie pr, below is profile:

Age:27
degree: economics education
Masters: Mba
experiance : 4years 10 months banking experience
Ielts: LSRW 6.5,8,6,7.5

Please i need someone to help me know my chances or the points i can get.

Well with d above listed I doubt if u can get PR with it cus u need like 60 points. Your age gives u 30 points, No point in IELTS cus u need to score a minimum of 7 in EACH modules. A score of 7 in each of d modules gives u 10 points, 8 in each module gives u 20 points, work experience is dependent of d assessing authority shaa though most times dey reduce it, so with 4yrs 10 months u score 5 points but if dey reduce it to anything less than 3yrs then no point, the point for ur degree is also dependent on d assessing authority to say if it's equivalent to that of Australia, so u get either 10 or 15k points for educational qualification. So my suggestion is that u try and get 20 points in English exam either ielts or pte-A, cus with 20 points plus 30 points from ur age its 50 points, education can make up for d remaining points. Though getting 20 points nobi beans oh, u really need to prepare. This is my opinion, other gurus will still make their contribution. All the best.

@ Bellacious, thanks very much for the response, I will do the same.

But please did you give the certificate to your school to add to your transcripts after it has been certified?

You're welcome. To answer ur question, well I didn't give it to them because I sent a scanned copy of my degree cert thru mail while d transcript was sent thru courier but they kept saying that they need a certified copy of d degree cert. Initially I was confused, so someone told me to go to court that dey do it there by then I've already sent d transcript. I had to pay dhl again to send d degree cert. But since u av d info u can join them together cus its possible.

@ Olalekan, I have applied for my transcripts today, through one of my friends, and I stated that a copy of my certificate be sent along with it, like you rightfully said about the verification. I still don't understand what that means, could it be a letter from my school? Or will the copy of the certificate be enough?

Thanks for your response

I was also asked to send my transcript and a certified copy of my degree cert, so I took a photocopy of my degree cert to court for dem to sign and stamp it(i.e. to certify it) and sent with my transcript, after which I got a +ve assessment. As for meeting d 28 days deadline, its very possible, just dat it will cost u a little money. Just tell whoever that will be helping u that u need it in 2 weeks or less. All d best.

To the glory of God, we (My wife and I with our two sons) made it to Melbourne early morning of May 20th having travelled through the emirate airline booked by IOM (Anyone coming should try to book their flight through IOM, we paid N1.2M for a flight that would have cost me N2.6M if am to book it myself).

Anyone comming to Australia between now and August should come with good winter jacket because winter is starting in full swing now, the weather is cold and might be too cold for someone coming from 29 - 33 degrees.
We use the first week for all the necessary registration like Medicare, Centrelink, Bank Account opening, Tax File Number, Phone contract etc. TYOSHO has already done justice to the process for these registration in her post on page 210.

It was on Saturday that we arrived, was able to open my bank account on Sunday after church service and likewise got a SIM plan with vodafone which offer 300min talk time to Nigeria and 1000 mins talk time to US, UK, Canada, South-Africa with some few others for 45AUD. We also went to the train station to get the Myki card (As posted by Vinsmuft, you need this card to make use of public transport system in Victoria State i.e Bus, Train and Tram).

Getting accommodation is not an easy task for new comer in Melbourne. It is not about the money only, there are so many criteria in use by the estate agent. It is a requirement for you to inspect a house before you can get it and its not easy going for inspection without a personal car because many of the agents fix their inspection around the same period.Secondly, there are many requirement in the application form like pay-slip, bank statement, electricity bill, water bill, gas bill, reference from employer in some cases. Am still house hunting and am getting help from the family we are staying with.

In Melbourne, car is not a luxury, it is a requirement for work. Many job advert will ask you if you have a car, Australian drivers licence. It is a plus if you have the two because you might be on shift outside the public transport working period and some job require your card to perform effectively. Am starting the process for my licence this week by taking the first test. Ensure you come with your Nigeria drivers licence, else the process of getting licence might be longer.

I have completed two training, white card and forklift training. Have also done the police check and working with children check. Am hoping to start something with this before getting the professional job although am more preoccupied with getting accommodation at the moment.

I will update us more in the coming days...Those of us still in the process, don't give up. With the little i have seen, its a worthy adventure

Congratulations.

You will have to wait till July when Northern territory opens her state nomination again. Only Northern territory and Tasmania sponsor the occupation.

Tasmania is a no go area because of the conditions.

Go to Northern Territory's website, read requirements for nomination and start gathering the documents ahead.

Yea I was looking at Northern Territory. Will go to their website as adviced. Thanx a lot. Will keep u posted. God bless

Have you done an English test?

What is your occupation?

If you have 60 points, next is to fill an EOI.

Yes I have and I had minimum of 7 in each of d modules. I applied as a resident care officer. My point is up to 60. Age 30 point, English test 10 points, qualification 15 points, years of experience 5 point. I applied for visa 190 which needs nomination. Thanx for ur swift response. God bless.
