started from the first page, currently in page 44 but for time plz help cos i intend starting my process immediately.
Edu:Bsc Economics
Work:5yrs
Dept: sales and customers Service.
Job description: sales, marketing and customer service
intended job to nominate: customer service manager or marketing specialist.
plz guru's am i gud to go on accessment for 190 visa with the info above
Well the info provided is not sufficient. I thought u said u read from the 1st page? How old are u? Will ur age fetch u 30 points or 25 points? Ur BSc will most likely give u 10 points since its a 4yr course, though it all depends on d assessing authority to decide, as for work experience dey will reduce it to whatever they feel u deserve, if dey remove one yr which i doubt, u will get 5 points But if dey give u below 3yrs u get no point. Have u written English exam? What's ur score? Answers to the above questions will help us in advising u.

Hello house... Please I like to know if when eventually the visa is granted will the visa carry on it, the occupation for which you were nominated.

In order words... Can I change my career path once I get my visa.

Thanks
I doubt if ur nominated occupation will be on ur visa and as for changing career path, yes u can. I have a friend over there that never practised his nominated occupation for one day.

[quote author=bellong post=58633930]@junebaby,

Bellacious' explanation of 489 is spot on except for the tuition fees for kids.

School tuition fees are not set by the federal government but states. Depending on the state you get nomination, but for South Australia, children of people on 489 pay tuition fees called contributory fee.. smiley

Pls do u have an idea of d amount? Is it different from the international fees paid by other children?

Good morning all
Please what is the he pro and cons of this visa 489?

2.Also when you want to apply for permanent residency it says you need to be in full time employment for 12 months and stay in area for 2 years.

Do you have to be employed in the same field that you applied for the visa ( Your skills that you was assesed) or can you do any job

3.Do kids have to pay international school fees

4. IF wife works for 12 months can this satisfy the visa condition for 12 months employment for permanent visa application and live for 2 years in area and then apply for PR although I was the main applicant for visahuh?
Well let me share the little I know.
1)For the pros, its a 4 yrs visa that allows u to apply for PR after 2yrs if the condition are fulfilled, u can get a permanent job,u get 10 points from the state if u don't meet d required points. Cons: u have to pay for ur Medicare and u do not get any government benefits, if u 're to School, u will have to pay the international rate, in some states u are only limited to designated regional areas.
2)No u must not work in that field but u have to be in a paid employment. I have someone who never worked in his nominated field for one day(on 489 visa) and still got his PR.
3)I learnt that children do not have to pay international rates(Not so sure)
4)I also learnt its possible, if ur spouse fulfils that condition then she will be the one to apply for 887 for the family.
The above stated may not all be correct. Gurus in the house will throw more light on it.
