Thanks for your response. I'm an Engineer on the ship and I checked the list and found "Ship's Engineer" with the code 231212. However it shows I'm only eligible for visa class 482, 187, 494.

Basically my job on the ship is Electrical/Electronic Engineering. When I put Electrical Engineering on the ANZSCO i found out that I'm eligible for all visa classes.

What do you advise?

Look at both electrical and electronics engineering qualification to identifying which matches your job descriptions more. You can apply for what matches your job descriptions more out of the two.

You don't need to send email to EA. The assessment is based on your job descriptions and not necessarily the work environment.

You should have requested for a remark of your writing. Very close to a 20 point score except for the writing.

How do you expect people who migrated via the skilled program to respond to you when they have no experience.

It is typical of people to throw stones and blame people for their own errors. If you need information about partner visa, there are loads of information on internet and immigration website. You should read them and later ask specific question. Don't act like you are entitled to be responded to.

If you don't have electrical engineering experience, there is no point for the reassessment as you wouldn't get any experience points.

You cannot add the experience deducted by ACS. I guess your qualification was determined not to contain enough ICT courses.

Hello everyone, I just moved to Canberra in early March, I just successfully set up my NAB account this week but I have been having issues transferring my funds from my naira account to my NAB account. I just found out I was supposed to open a dollar account before I left (which I didn't).

Look for someone who needs Naira in exchange for AUD there. It is the easiest way to get your money changed.

You should look into buying Lyca mobile, Lebara or Dodo, they have wider and better coverage than Kogan

Yes, you should be able to get registration with Masters of Nursing provided the university is accredited by AHPRA. However, you will need to proof to the case officer assessing your visa application why you want to study study despite having Medicine as first degree.

If you are coming as a student, be prepared to write the AMC while still in school so you can ease into PR application. It is easier to write it while still studying compared to when you graduate and have little time to prepare.


Alternatively, write PLAB in the UK, practice in the UK for a year or two and migrate to Australia.

Biometric is only for temporary visas. If you are applying for permanent resident visa or pathway to PR visas, biometric is not required.

What was your motivation for studying MBA despite your first degree?

These are the possible options you have:

1. When you graduate, look fir a job in program/project administration and work for a year before doing the skills assessment with VETASSES. You will then apply for state nomination (190/491) in NSW.

2. Forget about applying for state nomination from other states different from your state of residence if you are onshore. None of the states will consider you if you are not resident in their state. NT may give a little consideration but it is like a Carmel passing through the eye of a needle.

3. Ditch your current program, apply for Masters in your first degree course or any course that has potential longevity on the occupation list. While considering this, look outside NSW or Victoria. You can check WA, TAS or SA and maybe QLD.

4. Consider bligs recommendations

5. Assess your first degree and experience, apply for NSW nomination while still living there and see what happens.

6. On a side note, you have been here long enough to accept to go for such course.

The error is from the school. Have to the school for correction but was told nothing can be done.

You should do a court affidavit that the school made an error on your birth certificate. Mention that your birth date is same in all documents except the transcript.

WES is for Canada not Australia. It is useless for the purpose of migration to Australia.

To whom it may concern is good. The reference letter must contain your job descriptions which should align with the ANZSCO descriptions for your nominated occupation.

Since you already have a Canadian PR, why not activate it and after two or three years you can effortlessly move to Australia instead of wasting time and resources for Australian PR?
Even if you are a citizen, school fees for children is not totally free unlike Canada, IT jobs are concentrated in the big cities and you compete with the best to get one, drilling jobs is on the lowest level as Australia is not an oil producing country and the closest occupation to that is in mining sector which is also on the decline.
The good thing is that there's high tendency of making more money in Australia than Canada in as much as you are not lazy and you are flexible to switch occupation in events of what you aspire is not forth coming and also things are relatively expensive than in Canada, weather conditions actually varies across the States, can be extremely cold during winter as well as very hot during summer.

Drilling operations is not restricted to oil prospecting. Drilling is a major part of mining and mineral prospecting. There is healthy demand for drillers in Western Australia and Northern Queensland.

Moving to Australia as a Canadian citizen is not a walk in the park. It is either you follow the skill migration or the work holiday arrangement which has age limit. If they have the resources and can meet up the points, they can go ahead now than later.

I want to believe your course was 5 years so you shouldn't have issue with qualification assessment.

Your company can swear an affidavit that you are paid in cash and you should provide tax certificate as evidence that tax was paid.

How many years of study is your degree? If it is a 4 year course, you may likely not get a positive assessment because all the possible occupation you can assess are Skill level 1. However, if you assess as a chemistry technician, you may likely get a positive assessment.
