Hello People,

Work Experience - Human Resources, Currently a manager with total 8 years of experience
Status - Married
IELTS - 7.5

Spouse
Age - 34

I have checked, and I noticed both Jobs are on the sight132311: Human Resource Manager and 272312: Educational Psychologist

Please what is the next process? I will really appreciate any help or insight. Thank you

You can assess for human resource manager. Your husband is working as an educational consultant which is quite different from educational psychologist except he has had prior experience as an educational psychologist in the last 10 years. He will not get a positive assessment for educational psychology.

Any idea how long AFP check takes ?

Yes you need police check for all the countries you have lived in for up to 12 months.

AFP has a quick turn around.

Hello House, please I'm at crossroads. I have a degree from a University in Singapore that got bought over by an Australian University. Can I claim this as Australian education being that when I graduated it wasn't part of the Australian University but is presently so.

You can't claim it.

Thanks

US - GEOGRAPHY (GIS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE), CANADA-GEOGRAPHY (GIS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE), AUSTRALIA-ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (GIS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR WILDFIRE).

For a start, I will say ask God for direction. It is what I do when faced with problem of choice.

Now to human understanding, I will pick Australia over the other two as GIS has a pathway to permanent residence particularly study of identifying solutions to wildfire problem. While Canada also has a good pathway to PR, Australia has other advantages like better weather, better pay, ease of settling compared to Canada and others. The advantage Canada may have over Australia from my position may be the closeness to the USA for those who have relatives in the USA.

Reason I asked the source of the scholarship is because if it is government sponsored, all the three countries expect you to return to Nigeria post study for at least one year. Seeing you have no such clog in the wheel, Australia is a good choice.

If you have experience in GIS, you can start your PR processing even before you start or complete your study.

Congratulations and all the best in your decision making. May heaven lead you.

Which state is the university in Australia?

@shams040,

Just to clarify what you wrote, did you say you have full scholarship from US, Canada and Australian schools for PhD?

Is it scholarship from the schools or from government?

What is your field of study?

Hello everyone!
@our gurus in the house please I need some clarification...
My skills assessment came through with 0 years work experience cos I had 1 year xperience as at the time I applied and that was absorbed as my qualifying period.
I've been working since then, Nd hv 1 more year xperience now;
Pls is there a way to include this xtra detail when submitting my eoi as the requirement I saw for my job was at least 1yr experience?

To get any experience point, you must have at least 3 years for 5 point. So the one year is not relevant.

You don't need proof of fund for any of the visa class. Although some states may ask you to declare funds available to you but will not necessarily ask for evidence except Northern Territory.

Okay, here we are on day 9. My experience so far:

I experienced loosening of my muscles/tissues, I think this is due to the fat loss.
Also on days I had steak for dinner, but ate late ( 8pm -9pm) my weight increased at nighttime (I checked) and my weight the next morning was same as or slightly different from the previous morning. My average weight loss on a regular day was 0.5kg.

So if you have reduced activity in the evenings, I advise that you eat dinner by 7 pm or switch your lunch for dinner.

Then on the day I ate by 7pm and took a 2-hour walk after, I lost 1kg.

Cheers.

Eating late generally increases risk of weight gain. It is usually advised that if you have to eat late, eat something very light and easily digestible by the system.

You are doing well

I thought I can only access my qualifications for immigration purposes..Then when I get to Australia I can apply to become an Australian lawyer ... Where the courses I offered in the Nigerian university are insufficient..I will take Australia law courses to complement it,then I am already in Australia!

Please advise.

Go back and read no 2 of my first response to you. Your answer is there.

What makes you feel it will take me 2years to complete it? The Nigerian legal system is similar to that of the Australia legal system .... We offer similar courses including our practical legal training courses.

The only thing I need is to take IEIT test to meet the requirements...(although you may be correct but I strongly think for immigration purposes my qualifications only need to be assess).

Please I need clarification on this...

I did try to explain why in previous post. While we both practice the common law system, there are differences in country specific law. The courses you will be asked to do will take you two academic sessions to complete.

This is not to discourage you but to prepare you for what is ahead.

Goodluck.

Please how do we prove 8years work experience since tax clearance can only be issued for the last 3years?

Kindly help a brother

You don't need to have tax clearance for the 8 years. You can use pension statement, bank statement and payslip in addition to the tax certificate.

I am a Nigerian lawyer and wish to migrate to Australia via Visa subclass 189...I want to know if barristers are still in demand in Australia.... I have carried out my point calculations and I scored 75 points..

2. How Long will it take the assessing body (Legal Profession Admission Board ) to access my qualifications?

3. Any barrister in the house ?

1. Yes, Barristers and Solicitors are in demand everywhere including Australia. Until you complete an assessment and English test, you can't award yourself points.

2. Depending on how easy you are able to provide documentations required. However, you cannot get a positive assessment straight. You need to be called to the bar in Australia prior to having a positive assessment.
The law profession is not like science that is universal. You will likely be subject to take some Australian law courses before a positive assessment. This may take you 2 years to complete.

3. What do you want to know?

Hi family,

Pls, what is the most preferred option for Tuition payment in Australia?

Three options:

Pay through your local bank in Nigeria raising form 20 or whatever it is called.

Buy dollar equivalent from BDC or abokis and deposit in your dorm account, then do wire transfer.

Lastly, find someone who can help you pay in Australia while you pay Naira equivalent.

Thank you for responding. I did not see AHPRA on the ANZSCO search website, but MedBA. Are they same body. I was just trying to avoid doing the exams from back home.

Medical board is responsible for oversight and regularisation of medical practice while AHPRA is responsible for national registration and accreditation of all health practitioners. So to get a positive assessment from the medical board, you must first be registered as a health practitioner in Australia which AHPRA does.

This information is available on medical board website.

@bellong, is it compulsory for a Doctor to get the medical license before applying for the PR even if he/she doesn't wish to practice for a while

If you are nominating a medical occupation, you must be registered with AHPRA before applying for PR. To register with AHPRA, you must pass the medical exam.

Other options are Medical administrator if you are one or Primary Health organisation manager.

u didn't make any sense to me...u just handed a sentimental opinion.
Jan 6 is somewhat a bride's day

You requested for an unbiased explanation but your response doesn't show you were actually looking for an explanation but validation.

I will help you with the explanation based on what their constitution stipulates and not what Trump or Biden's supporters think.

On January 6, 2021, the electoral college votes will be read in a joint session of congress presided by the president of the Senate in VP Mike Pence. VP Pence will open the certificates as a ceremonial act being president of the senate. However, four tellers (2 House of Rep member and 2 senators) will read and tally the votes. Pence has no constitutional power to change or interfere in this process.

Once the four tellers complete the tally, VP Pence will declare the winner. Session cannot end until a winner is declared. Pence cannot announce different result.

Nevertheless, a member of either chamber of congress could object. There can be up to two hours of debate on the matter, with members speaking for up to five minutes each. So there's likely to be some political theater.

But the objection would need to pass both chambers of Congress with a simple majority to be sustained, and given that the Democrats firmly control the House, that's not going to happen.

A lot of Republican Senators and Reps have been throwing support and offering congratulatory messages to president-elect Biden. The chance of them objecting is very low. Most of them would also not want to be seen as undermining the constitution.

What that person wrote is plain ignorance. VP Pence has no constitutional power to change things for Trump in this matter after the electoral college victory.

I learnt it is easier to get invitation by downgrading and if you use occupation that is not highly competitive.
Furthermore, I want to evade engineer Australia assessment, that CDR, I learnt no be beans.
And again I have HND and then a master from UK, so am not so sure about the accord I fall into, from what I checked online I still falls under Washington accord, but just want don't want to take chances.
@bellong

I am not sure about the part that CDR is hard but I supposed anyone that earned the degree will be able to write enough for a positive assessment.

You are right with going for the occupation that is not crowded but you also have to consider prospects for state nomination. In your case, look into other civil engineering related roles with better prospect for nomination. The draftsperson is limited and you may be on the queue for a long time.
