Hello Bellong, can you please advise me on what job role I can assess as, please with my ABU degree and over 10years work experience?

Studied Mass Comm, ABU.

Your occupation (Television journalist) is a Skill level 1 class B occupation. This means a Bachelor degree equivalent to AQF is a must. From experience, qualifications from ABU have been assessed to be equivalent to a Diploma. This will likely give you a negative assessment. You can make an enquiry with VETASSES for clarification.

Meanwhile, the other hurdle to cross is that only ACT specifically has it on their occupation list. Other states have it under special conditions. You will have to go through the states' website for more information.

You can choose many occupations but the hurdle is they are all Skill level 1 and not many states sponsor them.

Hello every one, please I have a question.
My qualification is BSc Applied Biology and Biotechnology, I have a certificate in Health,Safety and Environment. My occupation fall under 134213(Primary health organization manager) because I work in a health organization as an Enlightenment Officer.
My fear is that my qualification and occupation are not in the line. Can I go ahead and evaluate with Vetassess?

I don't think PHOM aligns with an enlightenment officer. Go through the job descriptions for primary healthcare organisation manager and check against yours.

@Bellong.. Please can I list my brother as a sponsor and still list his children (3) as my dependents? I'm really in a tight spot here.

I don't really understand your question because I don't know why you need your brother as a sponsor for skill migration except you want him to nominate you on family nomination.

If it is for study visa, yes you can add him as a sponsor but his kids cannot be your dependent when you are technically depending on him.

You sure there's no explanation for why it could be 180? The person is a trusted family member.

And any idea what the rate is in Nigeria not the one on Google.

Your trusted family member has ripped you off N100/$. Go and demand the balance.
How will your friend not have her own bank account when it is as easy as ABC?

The rule is clear, I know. But ask yourself why he was given the harshest punishment which was forfeiture of the $250,000 he had earned so far in the tournament instead of the minimum of $20,000 fine. Besides, the lines judge did not have to go to a hospital.

I don't like Djokovic o, but its a witchhunt.

Imagine that was Federer cheesy
That lines judge would have stood up and claim she wasn't hurt and everyone would laugh it off. That man is LOVED, he broke my heart in the last Wimbledon, I was close to tears. grin grin grin grin grin

You still don't get the rule. Even if it were to be Pete Sampras or Federer, he would have been given same treatment.

It is not whether the victim is hospitalised. The ball or racquet must not hit officials when ball is not in play, this includes unintentional hit. Even if the ball had just kissed her, that touched the official is a default.

Djokovic should rather work on his anger and frustrations. Federer doesn't behave in such manner when frustrated because he understands the rules.

You mentioned Serena, Krygios and David. Have you read the rules?

Krygios and David have been given default in the past and Krygios probably has paid more money in fines than he has won on court.

Serena's outburst was a violation code for which she received due punishment.

Djokovic is a victim of witch-hunt.
This wont stop him from overtaking Frauderer to have the most GS

It is not any witch-hunt. The rule states that if you hit a ball hard, either intentional or unintentional, and it hits someone, you get a default.

Don't be in a haste to think somebody is after anybody. It is the rule which have been applied to other players in the past even for lesser situation. Tennis is no respect of any player.

It is not about intention but for players to play with decorum and not take their frustrations on balls and racquets.

This depends on the severity of the ulcer. If it is not severe, yes but if it is medical and dietician advice would be recommended before starting it.

Yes. I use world remit to Nigeria once in a while. And I prefer to pay with POLi payments.

Most times, the recipient receives the money within 10 mins. Sometimes, it's takes up to an hour. But you shouldn't have any issues

You can get better rate than what those guys offer.

Guys can anyone tell me if medical can be done from any government hospital? Is it accepted? And which kind of test is required please....

Can you stop disturbing people with this question? You have asked about 4 times on the living in Australia thread.
You have been told more than once the acceptable places for medical test but it seems you are bent on looking for who to validate the misinformation you hold dear.

This quote below was the first time you asked the question -

AustinT575:

Can someone do medical in any government hospital in Nigeria? Hope it’s accepted

This was the first response you got:

jukeblam:

No. There are a few hospitals designated for Australian visa medicals.
In Lagos, you have IOM, Ikeja and Fatayi Williams Clinic, Lagos Island; and IOM in Abuja too, I think.

Despite this straightforward answer, you kept answering same question and talking about what an agent told you. If you are not willing to accept the truth, there is no point in constituting a nuisance by answering same question repeatedly.

It will cost you nothing to read what is spelt out clearly on Home Affairs website.

If it suits you, you can go ahead and do your test in a government hospital and we will watch where it will lead you.

To answer you for the last time. Medical examination/test for Australia visa purpose CANNOT be done in any government hospital only in Home Affairs approved hospitals which are IOM hospital and Fatayi Williams Clinic. Any other test outside these places are for your personal record or regular check up.

Dear Bellong,

Please I need your urgent answer to this, does the
CO require a confirmation of the bank statement tendered as proof of fund or does he/she confirm the existing balance?

Put differently, does immigration ask for the authenticity of the bank statement tendered or do they ask for the current balance in the account?

Please I need answers urgently. Thanks

You will get a better response in the students' thread. It depends, sometimes they do and other times they don't.

However, if you have provided genuine bank statement, you have nothing to worry about.

If there's any group on telegram or whatsapp to this effect, I'd appreciate it if the link to the group is sent to me.
Also, I'd like to know if the general category of IELTS is recognized by the Australian immigration system.
Finally, is WES in any way relevant to the Australian immigration system?

Whatever info you seek on Whatsapp, you can get here. Not any I am aware of, there could be.

Yes, general IELTS is acceptable for the main application. However, your occupation will depend if useful for skills assessment. Some occupations require academic for skills assessment.

WES usefulness is restricted to Canada for immigration purpose.

Hello Everyone. Quite new here. My husband is assessing with EA but they are demanding for Tax and Pension Statement. Is it a normal thing and Please any Idea how to go about them. Will appreciate replies

Yes, it is normal. A third party evidence is usually required to confirm employment. He can get his pension fund statement from his pension fund provider.
Tax certificate can be gotten from the office of internal revenue in your state provided the company is remitting tax on his behalf.

Where are our people in Australia, I always check the Canadian thread and there seems to be more lively oh. How have you guys been surviving in this covid era, those that lost their job were they benefits for them like Canadian govt did?.. Australia is my first choice for migration and we need updates as motivation while chasing the japa journey..

For citizens and PR, the Australian government is providing fortnight payment to support those who have lost their jobs and also for companies that are hit by the pandemic.

I don't know what the Canadian govt is providing but what the Australia. Government is providing is enough to sustain a family.

My wife has a provisional admission in one of the schools in Aussie. We have #10m in our savings account and one of her friends is willing to part sponsor her and the person in question has #10m in TB and about #4m in her current account.

She is willing to show evident of willingness to part sponsor her via a sworn affidavit.

Your wife will need to proof to the CO why her friend is sponsoring her and not any relative. She has to show what the motivation is for the friend in paying thousands of dollars for her to study while her account doesn't show she has that enough to give away.

My wife will apply for visa covering herself and our 2 children aged 9 and 6. But she will be going alone to test the waters.

The plan is that in 6 to 12 months time, when she must have stabilized, I will apply for my own visa and join her with the children.

Whatever you do, make sure you apply together. It is easier to get family visa than apply later as subsequent entry. In the initial application, you can explain that the secondary applicant is staying behind due to work commitment and will only be visiting when required.

Now my question:
a) will the proof of fund by her part sponsor supported by affidavit be acceptable?

Refer to first statement.

b) will I be given visa after 6 to 12 months? One reason for not including myself in the visa is lack of funds.

Going by experience, there is 90% chance you will be denied as subsequent entrant because opinion is formed that the primary applicant has given a go ahead that it is good to relocate permanently. Apply together.

c) by the way, her school is in Perth. Originally she was granted admission in UTAS. But we heard there are no jobs in Tasmania, thus, necessitating our application for admission in Perth. Are there jobs in Perth?

Every single state has been hit by COVID-19. No country is a safe haven at the moment. However, post COVID-19, Perth is better than Hobart in terms of economic activities.

@Viola2017,

Your application should not be making reference to your husband leaving his job. His job should be used as part of the home ties. Provide evidence of employment. It is not a compulsion that he should leave with you immediately.

You have a good chance at the technical occupations.

Where do you start from? Start by reading from the opening page.
Travel / Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by bellong: 5:34am On Jul 09, 2020
@Viola2017,

Whatever you do, make sure it is a family application. Applying alone will not give you any advantage over applying as a family if you don't satisfy the GTE requirements.

Getting a subsequent entrant visa is more challenging than the original visa application as this is an indication that you have made a decision to move permanently after testing the waters cheesy.

Provide as much evidence as per home ties. Your husband job, your landed properties, family members are all important evidence of home ties.

Goodluck.

Good morning all,

Thank you so much for this educative and informative thread. I am confused on where to start from. Here is my detail

Wife and I - BSc Mathematical Sciences (option in Statistics) - 4 years course in a State Uni
Wife
6 years exp in Civil service as Statistician
age: 32years

Myself
BSc Mathematical Sciences (option in Statistics) 4 years course in a State University (Nigeria), MBA with option in Data Mining (1 year) and some professional certifications (Oracle certifications)
Exp: 10 years exp as Database Admin
Age: 35
i have worked in 4 companies (i dont have most of my past payslips, i have closed one of the past salary account)
I can only account for like 4-5 years (payslips)

I want my Wife to stand as the principal to apply as Statistician

Please i need a guide and help on how to start, where to start from. sequence of things to do.

I have checked https://www.seekvisa.com.au/sol/statistician/, here the Visa categories statistician is listed:
489, 482, 407, 189, 190, 186, 187, 491, 494

thanks

You can go through the RPL route with ACS but you need to account for those years. Something to proof your 10yrs of work experience so you still have some years left to claim experience points.

Yes, there have been people who got it. You can get a job by going through ads on Seek, Indeed and other job platforms. It is easier when the employer is unable to fill that position locally.
