It's because the ban on importation of rice during Buhari tenure has been lifted by Tinubu. The president should also life the ban on beef and poultry products
He should also allow importation of bread since our bakers don't want to reduce pride of bread even though price of flour has reduced.

As long as APC remains the ruling party in Nigeria, Nigeria will continue to struggle with things like this, including football, that's the truth. Leadership matters. Nigeria have the talents, the youth population to continually produce one of the best football and sport teams in the world, but due to bad leadership, we will continue to struggle with virtually everything national development and progress.

Super Eagles performance at today's match and in the whole of the world cup qualifying match have been woeful if we all can tell ourselves the truth. Congo DR deserved the win from the start of the match. Our first goal was just a lucky goal, nothing spectacular, just luck.

APC an evil party that condones and celebrate wicked, soulless men like Reno Omockery, Nyesome Wike, Godswill Apkabio, Bola Tinubu, Matawalle and co can never produce anything good, including in football matches like this world cup qualification match.

Nigeria's failure to qualify for world cup today was as a result of failed leadership of Nigeria nothing more or less. The forces of nature are against Nigeria in all ramifications, including in football matches like this that once gave Nigeria global recognition.

You cannot continue to neglect the lives of vulnerable and defenseless citizens cut short by soulless Jihadists for no justifiable reason while expecting God and nature to bless your nation and all it does. Nigeria need cleansing. Nigeria need spiritual purification and it can only come after APC and their evil occultic leaders are sent away, if not no way.

If Una like rebuild Super Eagles football team till eternity, forces of nature are working against Nigeria as a nation. Nigerians can succeed individually as people based on their individual efforts, grace and God's mercy on individuals and the families they represent, but collectively as a nation, Nigeria will continue to struggle until we start condemning evil, corruption and failed leaders irrespective of their tribes. Tinubu and APC have done so much evil against Nigerian citizens who got wasted away by Fulani herdsmen Militants, Jihadists and terrorists, tell me if those lost souls and their spirits will be happy with Nigeria? Innocent children, women, elders cut short and government does nothing, citizens do nothing, no nationwide outcry, instead they defend the killers, na football Una wan celebrate while people perish and suffer daily.

If you watch the match it was as if Super Eagles players were under a spell inside the football pitch not to perform, it was like a jinx was working on them inside the pitch, these guys play in their respective clubs and they do perform to some good extent but once they wear that Nigerian national Jersey, the jinx and spell overwhelms them.
You guys love to politicise everything, and your messiah still won't be president,
See facts below about football and even basketball under APC

⚽ Football

1. Men’s Senior National Team (Super Eagles)

Nigeria has not won the Africa Cup of Nations since 2015. Their last AFCON title was in 2013.

In the 2023 AFCON, Nigeria reached the final but lost.

Their U-23 team did win the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 (the year APC came to power).

Also in 2015, Nigeria’s U-17 team (“Golden Eaglets”) won the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

→ So in men’s football, under APC (from 2015), at the senior level, they have no major continental trophies, though they had success at youth level (U-17 and U-23).

2. Women’s National Football Team (Super Falcons)

Nigeria won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in the 2024 edition (played in 2025), bringing their total to 10 titles.

Prior to that, they had won WAFCON in 2016 and 2018.

→ So under APC, that’s 3 WAFCON titles: 2016, 2018, and 2024.

---

🏀 Basketball

1. Men’s Basketball (D’Tigers)

Nigeria won the FIBA AfroBasket in 2015 (right at the start of APC’s period in power).

According to FIBA, that is their only AfroBasket title so far.

2. Women’s Basketball (D’Tigress)

The D’Tigress have won three consecutive AfroBasket Women’s Championships during APC’s time: in 2017, 2019, and 2021.

According to a fact sheet from the Buhari-administration (2015–2023), that’s part of their achievements.

---

✅ Summary: Since APC came to power (2015–present)

Sport Number of Major Titles Won

Men’s Football (Senior) 0 AFCON titles
Men’s Football (U-23, U-17) 2 (U-23 AFCON in 2015; U-17 World Cup)
Women’s Football (Senior) 3 WAFCON titles (2016, 2018, 2024)
Men’s Basketball 1 FIBA AfroBasket (2015)
Women’s Basketball 3 AfroBasket Women’s Championships (2017, 2019, 2021)

The Japanese team have been outstanding for over 1 year, they were the first team to qualify for the world cup with at least 2 games to spare. And they have been on a roll beating all the teams they have played so far even in friendlies, I hope they give us a memorable world cup by going far in the tournament.

The audacity of a man who graduated with a third class in Philosophy to talk down on a Professor of Economics who graduated with first-class honours in Economics from UNN, earned distinctions in both his Master’s and Ph.D. programmes, and was the best graduating student at all three levels. I truly aspire to that level of audacity.

Peter Obi, while you were opening a beer factory in Anambra State as governor, Professor Charles Soludo was revolutionizing Nigeria’s banking system as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Soludo’s banking reforms between 2004 and 2009 are a major reason Nigerians today rarely lose their savings when a bank collapses, which was common in the pre-Soludo era. That is a real, lasting legacy that has positively impacted hundreds of millions of lives nationwide, unlike your beer factory, which has destroyed many.

Peter Obi, you won your re-election as governor with just 34% of the votes, while Professor Soludo won his with over 70%, despite your campaigning against him and endorsing a different candidate.

When Professor Soludo decides to contest for Vice President or President, I have no doubt that he will actually win, unlike a perpetual loser like you, who had to play the ethnic and religious card just to come third in a national election. Peter Obi, you are playing in Division One; Professor Charles Soludo is in the Champions League.

PoliticsRe: W/cup Playoffs: Super Eagles Camp Opens In Rabat With 10 Early Arrivals by benardtotti(m): 8:41am On Nov 10, 2025
Bestwt001:
The Super Eagles’ camp officially opened on Sunday in Rabat, Morocco, with the arrival of 10 players, as Nigeria begin final preparations for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup CAF playoffs.

The first batch of players and team officials arrived at the Rive Hotel, Rabat, on Sunday afternoon, signalling the start of what could be a decisive week in Nigeria’s campaign to return to the world’s biggest football stage.

The team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, told the News Agency of Nigeria that early arrivals included the trio of Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze, as well as Tolu Arokodare and Olakunle Olusegun.

“Later on Sunday, three more players – Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, and William Troost-Ekong—joined up with the squad, bringing the number of players in camp to eight.

“By nightfall, Benjamin Fredericks and Chidozie Awaziem also checked in, raising the total number of players in camp to 10 as preparations gathered pace,” he said.

NAN also reports that coach Eric Chelle on Saturday finalised his 24-man squad for the playoffs as he named a strong roster of Europe-based stars and local standouts for the decisive fixtures in Rabat.

The Super Eagles face Gabon in the first playoff match on Thursday. A win would send them into the African playoff final against either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo on November 16, also in the Moroccan capital. The playoff round provides African teams with an additional route to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

However, the winner of this series must still overcome opponents from other continents in a final intercontinental playoff scheduled for March 2026 in Mexico.

Chelle’s squad features several changes from last month’s qualifiers, where Nigeria recorded victories over Lesotho and Benin to climb to second place behind South Africa in their qualifying group. The crucial victories earned the Super Eagles a playoff slot as one of the four best runners-up across the nine African groups.

Among the returnees is Maduka Okoye of Udinese, back to provide competition in goal, while Awaziem also returns in defence.

Midfielder Raphael Onyedika and forward Chidera have been recalled to add depth and creativity.

Players omitted from last month’s roster include Felix Agu, Terem Moffi, and Christantus Uche.

Nigeria, the highest-ranked of the four teams in this playoff round, are widely seen as the favourite to progress — but coach Chelle has cautioned against complacency, stressing the need for discipline and tactical precision.

Nigeria Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup Playoffs
Goalkeepers:
Stanley Nwabali (Chippa United, South Africa), Amas Obasogie (Singida Blackstars, Tanzania), Maduka Okoye (Udinese, Italy)

Defenders:
Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes, France), Semi Ajayi (Hull City, England), Calvin Bassey (Fulham, England), Benjamin Fredericks (Dender, Belgium), Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiakos, Greece), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Birmingham City, England), Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto, Portugal), William Troost-Ekong (Al-Kholood, Saudi Arabia)

Midfielders:
Alex Iwobi (Fulham, England), Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas, Turkey), Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium), Frank Onyeka (Brentford, England), Alhassan Yusuf (New England Revolution, USA)

Forwards:
Akor Adams (Sevilla, Spain), Tolu Arokodare (Wolverhampton Wanderers, England), Samuel Chukwueze (Fulham, England), Chidera Ejuke (Sevilla, Spain), Ademola Lookman (Atalanta, Italy), Olakunle Olusegun (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray, Turkey), Moses Simon (Paris FC, France).

Poverty index - north
Child mortality - north
Out of school kids - north
Starvation- north
Insecurity- north

If you remove the north from the rest of nigeria ,you will suddenly see nigeria ranking among top 20 countries for all positive things, enough of pampering th3 north .

They add no value to nigeria , all they want is power , every 4 years a northerner will run for presidency wether or not it's their turn, meanwhile southerners will be doing good boy and trying to appease them , enough of it .

Princewill1:
One of the major problems of Nigeria is that those elected to lead us over the years are not great problem solvers or that leaders are not genuinely concerned about the numerous problems facing the nation. Even as a private citizen, ever since a close relative was abducted in 2020 and released after ransom, I have been thinking about how this menace can be brought to an end in the country. I recently tweeted the following about the spate of kidnappings in Nigeria. 👇 The Tweet:

"90% of kidnappings in Nigeria occur in bushes on the expressways and city outskirts. Setup "Forest Guard" a paramilitary Organization across the country made of only indigenous youths in 774 LGA to comb our forest areas daily. Scrap NYSC & fund the Organization with the defunct NYSC money. Problem solved!" ... and the tweet quickly got traction.

Here are details of how this idea can be implemented perfectly with no additional load to the country's annual budget:

1.) Recruitment in each LGA must only be from indigenous youths whom having been living in the community in the last 10 years. This is to ensure that all personnels are knowledgeable of the terrain of the community. Not what they do in NPF where someone will be brought in from Sokoto to police a village in Rivers State.

2.) The geographical size of a each LGA will determine the number of personnels recruited. The bigger the size of LGA the higher the number of personnel stationed on it.

3.) Few troubled LGAs where there is ongoing fighting with Boko Haram, Bandits, UGM etc will be exempted. Only the military will be assigned to handle those LGAs.

4.) The Paramilitary group will be armed and equipped with communication gadgets and surveillance drones especially in LGAs with difficult terrains.

5.) The Paramilitary group will have national head in Abuja and state controller generals in each state.

6.) NYSC will have to be scrapped and it's annual budget reallocated to this new organization to prevent additional load on the country's yearly budget.

7.) This paramilitary group maybe be named Nigerian Forest Guard or something else. It's mandate will be to patrol, comb and safeguard our forest areas nationwide.

Because No forest hideout, No Kidnapping in Nigeria. If you are close to anyone in govt, show him this post.
Forest rangers have been set up already, the only problem is I don't know how equipped they are , cos I don't think para military units are allowed to use certain weapons , the bandits and kidnappers have superior weapons .
