I'm currently in a fix right now. Just applied for appointment at the embassy but did booking with my expired passport and I'm yet to receive my renewed passport which should be around next week. Now I was just informed that my passport number will likely change( I wasn't aware about this) as against the one I used in booking appointment. What do you guys think I should do? The passport expired 2017. Should I cancel the appointment or mail them and explain.

Cancel it and book again when the new passport is ready.

I also had issues with it initially until i got it right.
Ensure the details on your international passport are showing clearly. (If you can't read them yourself there is a high probability that you will be asked to retake the picture). Then Ensure your face shows too.
