To beat Argentina tomorrow, we need to take a cue from Croatia..

First Of all we need to do a high press so Argentina doesn't build up play from the back..let them kick the ball in the air which means 50-50 chance to get the ball back and automatically they become less dangerous since most of their strikers are short...

To neutralize messi, you need proper space engineering...never give messi room to run at you from the center and do combination play...we need to crowd that midfield whenever Argentina has possession, this would render messi less effective since he thrives on pocket of space left out by midfielders..Etebo would really have his hands full..its much easier for him to mark messi since he also has a low center of gravity!!!

I hope our players would not be selfish tomorrow and play with each other..its all about the team winning!!!

This is a game I believe we can win...we just need to get our tactics right and the players have to be alert for 90mins..no loosing concentration

Bros Abegi joor..that's all he does, hold up play...Naa hold up play go win us games...if you want to understand a dynamic forward, that's exactly what musa and nacho did.. The only thing I didn't like was why they were putting the ball in the air when u were playing musa and nacho..

If Ighalo had started this game..we would most likely loose..his movements are just poor as a striker...

Isn't this what we have been saying since to play victor Moses as a LWB but a really offensive one..Moses would be a lot effective as a wing back..

He would get a lot of chances to get into one on one take ons as a wing back..

Etebo was the real midfielder playing this game..

Playing Ighalo has our forward will yield nothing..I know ppl would make excuses for him that he is not getting supply..his movement as a striker is just poor..

Nacho and musa came in and we could see some urgency..more pace injected...

Whatever reason he is always benching Ebuehi for shehu, he only knows..ppl would argue we conceded thru setpiece

Rohr got his tactics wrong in all the friendlies in the first half..don't know if that wasn't enough to teach him some lesson...one thing is with the 4-2-3-1..we just weren't really creating chances..and we still stuck to it..

I hope Ighalo is watching..this was a game we were suppose to use pace and we just played into the Croatian hand..

Its gonna be hard getting out of this group..make I just enjoy the remaining 2 games....this formation just rendered us ineffective

This Iceland play a 4-4-2 with extremely hardworking midfielders and strikers..their strikers actually defend with the team..

I doubt it...Ezenwa has barely played games this year...is it at the world cup he would now get his sharpness..Uzoho is undoubtedly the number 1..

They terribly lack pace..senegal should have been 4 goals up now if they weren't wasting their chances..

If Rohr would adopt the 3-5-2 formation I would rather we have Iwobi and Iheanacho upfront. Iwobi to cover from the left wing to the center and also easily joins the midfield but must always be ahead of Mikel who will play directly behind the duo.

Iheanacho is a very deadly finisher but he only needs someone to pair with to wreck havoc.

Iwobi pairing with Iheanacho upfront is the coup I want Rohr to plot against Croatia.

Where will victor Moses play if we pair iwobi and Iheanacho upfront in a 3-5-2 formation?

Bros sorry you don't have what it takes to play as a Wing Back. Just hold that bench wey them give you first.

Was just smiling when he said he can play wingback..someone that doesn't even have the gas to overlap in his traditional LB role..

I just need to give my humble take on this team..

[b]Formation: it is obvious, this team looks stronger with the 3-5-2 formation...we might struggle with a 4-2-3-1 formation against Croatia cos they have better quality players than we do..they would be gaps that their quality midfielders can spray passes to and explore..with the 3-5-2 formation, we seem to keep possession better and also look sturdy in defence since there is always an extra man helping out..

Players: if we stick to the 3-5-2 formation, I would suggest playing Moses as a LWB,playing him as part of the 2 forwards would be a waste of his strength.. he would still be our main threat because as a wingback, some of the spaces idowu was getting into, Moses would cause more damage there...he has played all season long as a wingback anyways..I know some would disagree with me but Moses strength lies in carrying the ball...Rohr should find a way to help cover his area whenever we are attacking with him. Moses needs to attack from the wing, that is where he is most dangerous not from the center..

We should just play nacho and iwobi as our 2 false9 with iwobi dropping to AM to control the play up the field with Mikel..

Ighalo is not the forward we need in that 3-5-2, he doesn't have the movement or his dynamic enough..he has good strength and hold up play but nacho would do a better job running into space and stretching the Croatian defence..

Ndidi and Etebo with Mikel on top of them should do in the midfield..etebo can carry the ball from deep and also have the calmness to keep possession with his dribbles..

I'm sure you guys already know how the rest of the team would look like....

Takeaway: no matter the quality of the opposition, we tend to stifle them better with 3-5-2. if Rohr does insist on using 4-2-3-1, Mikel needs to come back to CM to control the game from deep and let Iwobi do his thing as an AM..but we run serious risk with this formation. Thou it worked well in qualifiers, we would struggle against more disciplined and tactical European teams with that formation..
