ddbluv: Visa approved.. Off to Acca exam... Transcript later... So many Approvals today, maybe twas the cold weather they love + God factor.. After seeing so many approvals across all booths generally, confidence was boosted 110%. NOT ON SCHOLARSHIP BUT STILL NO SINGLE DOC REQUESTED. Confidence is keY, I wasted time preparig bank document & filling up account. Mcheww Some people are hilarious A guy was asked why he chose a school Reply: The school is located in a town that has a range of 20-28° which is perfect for studying VO: yanks form from his side, sorry blah blah blah
Another guy was asked same thing in another booth Reply: I use Google to find the school VO: Repeats same question Dude: stammering....... After 5 secs silence.. He realises he's been on the last straw, finally opens up. (My GRE was low, this was the only school that accepted me). I was called for my interview after that. IMO: If you wanna lie, you gats be a smooth liar (street wise) cos u got 2sec to formulate it. If not, just come out straight cos they will still give if your outright honest (not all though). Couldn't wait to find out the guys outcome. congrats..was this your first attempt? |

buzibiza: lol, sure man! But the thing is that it might look suspicious to stuff his personal account in 3weeks cos I think his active account is the family business account so I was thinking a cover letter is my best option for now. I hope I hv other areas covered thanks to you guys. I pray my testimony is on its way... Amen bro...we will come here to give our testimony. I believe |

slimmy05: Even if your uncle goes to the embassy with you doesn't make any difference. You should not be concerned about the bank statement, all you need to do is to check within if the statement is genuine. Focus more on relevant thing, you bank statement does not guarantee you a visa. VO are really not interested in your documents, they are after what you have to offer. well said sir...so in essence you are trying to say how I present my case to show am a genuine student and my confidence level during the interview is more important? |

zeezahbee: In most cases, people use another course of study to get here. Pharmacy is extremely expensive for even citizen so they had to get loan. It will be so hard to convince a VO about how you will pay and if you go with a forged SOA, you might be flagged.
Since you are a grad. Why not go for masters then find a way to get into pharmacy school.
Btw, which pharmacy school is that? Because I know u need to tke some college pre Reqs and write PCat before getting admit. Is it pharmd or B.pharm?
If your Intended prog is B.pharm then you are wasting resources. |

Stewee: Starting a business is a great idea, ambitious and often encouraged but the truth is... After grad you'll be too broke and won't have the capital needed to start the 'Chemist'(business) A more realistic approach is to find and hold a job till you save enough to start your own.
Even a retarded VO will agree with you and oblige you visa. meaning I could say after I complete my studies I want to work for NAFDAC and after a few years I will set up my own pharmaceutical business....abeg no be chemist business o...hahahaha. Thanks bro |

bbdd: Lol. We both know you're not coming back to Nigeria so please find another answer. Do you need to go to the US when the money spent on Pharmacy school can even open the business in a big way and save you time spent and stress of schooling?? Do the Math.
These VOs are psychologists. I'm not one but i already found a loophole in your answer. I cant tell you why you chose your school. Only you should know that. lol...you are very correct. it's left for us to show we are really going there to study even if we are not coming back. Will look for something better to say after I complete my studies,as for why I choose the school,I will take care of that. Thanks for your wonderful assistance. |

bbdd: Look at my transcript. Although I'm going for PhD so not sure if that'll be useful to you but either way.
Look for simple but slightly technical things that everyday Americans can relate to in the pharmacy. Its a highly respected profession so know what you're saying and be confident about it.
You could say "I chose Pharmacy because based on my solid background in the sciences and i have always wanted to combine this with clinical applications. And pharmacy offers this UNIQUE opportunity, In addition to that, as a HEALTHCARE giver i would be able to impact lives as a pharmacist. I will be CONDUCTING RESEARCH ON.....Allergies, Arthritis, Diabetes.
Pick a simple disease and just use that as a narrative that you know what you're saying. in my previous interview I told VO I want to establish a very lucrative pharmaceutical business in nigeria after my studies when he asked me what will I do after I complete my studies...do you think it's a good answer? If you have any suggestion pls let me know because you have a lot of experience already as a pharmacist. |

bbdd: Sorry to hear about your denial. I'm a pharmacist and whenever Americans hear of Pharmacy and Medicine they think of huge loans they have to pay off in order to get their kids off to Medical / Pharmacy school, and most times students get backlogs and can't even finish when due. This is perhaps why that VO needed clarification. It's obvious that they were not convinced about your ability to pay for the really expensive pharmacy school. Sometimes its all about perception. I think you should reapply if you have a really good financial backing considering the previous denials have a link to your financial ability...so to speak.
GOODLUCK thanks a lot .I will reapply with a stronger bank statement. |

Walspring: For the VO to go and meet the 1st VO that interview you before means (s)he saw something concerning the bank statement and he went to the 1st VO to ask question and confirm..
Anyway never give up and take your time to refire back thanks man,I will reapply with a stronger bank statement. |

The Government and public transport drivers are the cause of these constant Road accidents ....The Government should impose speed limit on these reckless drivers and make sure our roads are in good shape. Definitely this will reduce the rate of Road/car accidents , stop blaming the devil for everything,we are the architect of our sufferings. We can only pray to God to protect us from our own doings? Thanks |
