Christianity EtcRe: 5 Reasons Why Should Always Pray In The Morning by benjaminiyke(m): 8:49am On Jul 12, 2015
There is no RIGHT time or WRONG time to pray neither do we have to take any special position to pray to God. B. The Bible urges us to "be vigilant with a view to prayers" ( 1 peter 4:7) we can ask God for his help and for the wisdom and courage to make the best of our situation, confident that "he hears us concerning whatever we are asking." 1 john 5:15. The bible explains that SATAN, not GOD,is "the ruler of the world" and that " the whole world" is lying in the power of the wicked one." Therefore jesus used to mere figure of speech when he taught us to pray: " Deliver us from the wicked one." Praying really helps." It is as the Bible says:" GOD is near to all those calling on him,to all who call on him in sincerity--Psalm 145:18. NOTE- prayer also helps to improve our relationship with God. In Conclusion, your father knows what you need even before you ask him( Matthew 6:8 ) and we do need to ask him. Prayers is the primary way we can" draw close to God" the result of doing so?" He will draw close to you"__james 4:8. Thanks

why did you spend 5 years only to end up counting drugs in an enclosed room? To me you didn't spend your money well. If you had spent those years getting MBBS it would have paid off.

Bbdd will reap the fruits of his Pharmacy degree here in U.S. but I doubt if he would be satisfied working as a Phamacist in a teaching hospital earning meager pay as low as 120k monthly.
@slimmy do you mean pharmacist earn as low as 120k monthly when converted to Nigerian currency? I thought the average salary for most pharmacist practicing in the US earn as high as 100 to 120k US dollars yearly, which is about 20 to 24 million Naira per year. Unless am really uninformed here. Thanks

I think all you need to do is brace up and prepare. In my case, I was only concerned about the QA and AW because I knew I could explain the verbal in my SOP if I do well in the other two sections. I guess I wasn't so committed because I had already written one earlier and I only needed to up my QA score since the conversion of my old score to the new grading system did not place me at a competitive edge for my program. If you know you need the admission as well as funding, I suggest you do a study plan to help you read as much as you require.
Thanks a lot Bro.

Why should you be scared of math, You studied Chemistry and you did so many mathematic at undergraduate like Calculus, statistics, mechanics. You should be scared of the verbal instead!. The verbal isn't the way you look it. I did mathematics just only once in skol and it was a general math which we all did in 100level. Yet I dey bounce but not up to SirRiddy and Dicapino(awon oga nla). The verbal na something else, most especially the RC undecided . I wish the GRE is just Quantitative, Quantitative and Quantitative..
Some of the reasons my GPA suffered in school was due to chemistry courses which involved math,I detest math so much, Nevertheless it is well. "nothing is impossible to achieve, even the word itself says I"m possible".

Gurus in the house, now I know why some prospective graduate students are scared of writing GRE. I visited the internet to look up some GRE test and I was in awe of what I saw in relation to the GRE questions,I found out it consist of 3 sections; verbal, analytical and quantitative section. The GRE is administered to test your critical thinking skills, for someone to pass the verbal you must be an avid and Voracious reader of different articles with Good understanding of vocabulary. The analytical section also test your ability to understand a passage as quickly as possible and proffer a suitable reply to the task while the quantitative section is all about math and that is my main concern. I believe I will be able to ace the verbal and analytical section but how can someone who is not well grounded in math do well in the quantitative section. In conclusion, the GRE test is very important if you want to succeed in your graduate studies because it test your critical thinking. I advice all prospective graduates to take the GRE,i have so much work to do on my own part with regards to the quantitative section. God bless the GURUS.
Please don't mind the lack of paragraphs on my post,am a lazy writer.

OP, I can't read this because your TOPIC alone has been nullified.

The only HUMAN that is UNEMPLOYABLE is a SICK Chap and it still depends on the degree of ailment.

In CHINA, HP COMPUTERS manufacture 60,000 LAPTOPS on daily basis.

Most of the EMPLOYEES there were taken based on EFFICIENCY and SMARTNESS and not on academic grounds.

In VERNICO street in ITALY, most FOOTWEARS made there, were done by hardworking VILLAGERS and not graduates.

Such shoes are worn by prime ministers and world leaders.

In OSLO and SHANGHAI, Fishing alone can move a country forward.

As NIGERIANs, We always believe that U Can only make it if u get EDUCATED.

We NEED POWER, good roads and railsystems and INDUSTRIES.

This is why a particular TRIBE in NIGERIA, will keep GROWING from strength to strength despite GOVERNMENT neglect.

I won't mention the name of the TRIBE
seconded...The poster based his analysis solely on jobs that require certificates and skill acquisition, however nothing stops a graduate from seeking employment in production firms in Nigeria. I think our graduates are employable but federal Government need to diversify our economy, reduce importation of products and increase exports, which in turn will lead to us building large production companies in Nigeria thereby creating more jobs.

Funny guys my people from the East. You cannot dictate to the Federal Government, where to send prisoners to. It is the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, and incidentally ENUGU is part of it too.
My dear we all know it's constitutional and the law permits such decisions to be taken by the federal Government. But have you asked yourself the following questions; Are they well equipped prison facilities with tight security and trust worthy prison guards to handle these inhuman and callous animals? What if they break loose and unleash series of aimless killings and bombings in the south East?is this how the federal Government plans to curtail the growing and worrying activities of the insurgency? Whatever the Government is planing on achieving, they should be careful and make sure they have everything mapped out for successful completion of the task. Thanks

But I have to defer d admission(Spring 2016) due to the fact that my financial document wud not be ready on time. I deferred, a form was sent and I filled the form and mailed back to them. My fear is I have not heard from the school and I don't want the scholarship to be forfeited. I have mailed the school twice but no response. A friend told me I shouldn't bother that once it has been deferred, the scholarship award is intact. My question is many of u wud have passed thru these processes and I believe u cud help, kindly help me out to relief me of fear. Thanks, am really expecting your reply.

Where are the many fishes, all girls are the same. My advice to guys is to either forget marriage or put up with the rubbish these ladies of nowadays are doing. Marriage is going extinct, women are trouble if you want to live long keep away from them except when you need them for sex coz if you are asking for fidelity, commitment they can never give it. My own gf have complained and complained abt the rubbish things she does all she is concerned abt is buying the latest clothes, shoes, make hair abt 6 times a month and loading her IG with pictures not concerned abt our future together. I just tire for una everything bring money! Bring money ha!

She's materialistic, but she loves you since you did say she has spoken to you about marriage(although, conditionally) & that she respects you. Truth is that every woman has their dark side, hers is just materialism. Another person's own maybe s*x.

Just pray to be rich, or at least be comfortable and there wouldn't be any problem btw u two. But that illusion u'r having of meeting a perfect lady na film-trick o. When jungle mature, e go clear for your eye.

Very nice Observations...I love my girlfriend so much but she's too materialistic;I send her 10k to 5k every month for reasons I can't fathom,am unemployed and the only thing I have now are my savings but she won't understand, she wants to wear nice clothes, shoes and expensive hairs. As long as I meet her demands she's happy but as soon as I tell her I don't have money to send, she begins to feel I don't love her. Recently I told her about my plan to travel abroad for my PHD program and she was very excited, she even promised to marry me immediately i come back to Nigeria, but unfortunately things didn't go according to plan and I had to delay my plans for the foreseeable future, when I told her about my decision She felt bad and told me she doesn't know if we will still marry based on my decision not to travel abroad because i promise her an Iphone 6 as soon as I get there. She treats me well and respects me but how can I deal with these are materialistic attitude? Your advice is most appreciated. Thanks

FamilyRe: Some Ways To Make Yourself Happy by benjaminiyke(m): 8:46pm On Jul 07, 2015
We'll have exhausted ourselves with our own expectations. The pressure we have put on ourselves to be a certain person is consuming our thoughts and eating away our souls. We think about our Degrees,jobs,relationships- the things we have been conditioned to believe will guarantee our happiness- and wonder why it hasn't turned out that way....But the truth simply lies in filtering what the world has been telling us and deciphering and reconstructing the elements that constitute the sort of life that we want to live. We can find that happiness by retraining the brain to relinquish control over what might happen or what could be a future possibility, and instead focus on what is happening in our lives. Once we relinquish control over the future and stop believing we would be happy if or when something occurs we will allow ourselves to enjoy the present without frantically grasping at external things to validate our self worth- be they relationships, career achievements or other milestones we have set for ourselves. LESSON: the shift is enjoying these things should they occur without being dependent on them for our happiness.

@ benjaminiyke,

I would first of all evaluate my GPA to a 4.00 scale. The chances of getting admission into a Chemistry, MS program in the US becomes almost zero if it is lower than 2.50/4.00. Also do not be deceived you need to consider the tier 2 schools most notably the California state university system. Like others rightly said a number of factors is considered, but you also need to show that you can do research since your degree would be researched based. Talk about your final year project and other lab experience you have. That is a huge pointer to being successful in graduate school. Do not waste your money by applying to Tier 1 universities like LSU, ASU, OSU et al
thanks for the advice.
