A Seed For Contemplation

Truth brings divine love. The reason for war,
theft, lies, and other natural traits of humans
is that no religion can drive love into
anyone’s heart.
When God’s love enters the heart, only then
can a change for the better occur.

Spirit acts in a way that is for the
good of the whole, sometimes
bringing a healing of the emotions or
the mind instead of the body,
because that is in the best interests
of that particular Soul’s unfoldment.

i prayed for the light and i met the Mahanta, The Living Eck Master. others prayed for the light and some met the Buddha, some met the Holy Prophet of Islam etc. the light of God flows through any ready channel to the world and all those who are open according to their level of consciousness will have access to that light in one way or another. God has made provisions for all souls. the only limitiations are the ones we put in our consciousness. while all the masters are busy working harmoniously to bring souls to the light, their followers are busy fighting each other and sowing seeds of discord and hatred on earth.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can The Whole World Ever Be Christianized Or Islamized? by benodic: 9:45am On Dec 15, 2012
God allowed different religions on earth for a purpose. this is because souls have different levels of consciousness. saying that you are going to have only one religion on earth is like saying that you will have only one course in a university. you know of course not everyone will like to study that only one course because they are not disposed to it. that is why there is variety but people in different religions do not see it that way because their ego usually stands in the way. it is even common sense to see that there is no one road that leads to any town. bush roads even exist too and those who likes to use a horse or a camel can still get there too.

This is how we work with Divine Spirit. We try to look at life and find the laughter wherever we can, whenever we can, because laughter is the healer.

When you become as little children,
you shall see the kingdom of heaven.
You will carry no ideas from the past
to hold you, none of the future to
frighten you, but just the present,
with the assurance that everything
you need to know is already at hand
—every answer, every solution.

The secret is that one cannot live without love. You’ve got to find the kind that agrees with your spiritual makeup. Once you have it, you find it a delicate thing that can slip away like water through the fingers.

thanks a lot for your input. the fact still remains that these things are not things you just talk about. you have to experience it for yourself to understand it. that is why i really do not bother to convince anyone about the reality of these experiences. i can only open the door and invite them to take the step themselves. the rest is up to them to take it or reject it.

There is usually somewhat of a struggle when we move into a higher state of awareness, and that is natural. The problems in life can be dreaded with fear, or they can be seen as opportunities for growth—and a challenge.

You must make up your own mind as to what you want to do. Consider all parts of your life, the financial and emotional included, and do what seems to be common sense. Then plan and work carefully.

Many feel that a person who spends his time soul-searching is more holy than a merchant who hawks his goods at the market. A highly spiritual person is actually one who has found the comfort zone that exists somewhere between the two extremes.

What do you have to say about this:

"Followers of New Age movements do not regard themselves as practitioners of the
occult, but they are. In this paper I will set out what I see as the worst lies told by
these movements, with particular reference, where appropriate, to the cult of
Eckankar.
After 33 years as a member of Eckankar, I learned from hard experience that none of
these movements are what they seem. Let me explain how they work."
i took my time and read the ebook and after going through i will say that i really thank God that i am an Eckist.

before i found Eckankar, i was a very serious born again christian and i fervently read the bible everyday and prayed for the Holy spirit to come into my life. my search for God was really intense and i studied many other religions and the occult searching for the truth.

what i found in Eckankar i have not seen any where else so far as transforming a person into an incandescent lover of life and a pure channel for the love of God is concerned. in Eckankar i experienced for the first time in my life the light and sound of God which is the Holy Spirit just like it was described in the Holy Bible, during the pentecost. that experience changed me forever.
now i do not need to think about it before i give love to the next person without any discrimination of tribe or religion. i have become love itself. i wake up each morning with the love song to God on my lips and a happiness in my heart that knows no bounds and i do not ask God to do things for me but rather i ask God what i can do for It today, how can i serve It today, how can i carry a little bit of its light to a very dark world. shown by deeds and not by words.

so my dear, every body is free to have their own opinions about Eckankar and call it all sorts of names. It really doesn't bother me because every body is on their own individual journey back to God. when you choose to start your own journey and have your own experiences and make your own judgement is entirely up to you.

i have a question.

this is it, where i work there is a machine intrusted to me because i make most use of it, inshort it is designed
for my position but every other co-workers can also use it not often. the machine got spoilt and i reported to the manager
who was reluctant to replace or fix it. it affected my work so i decided to fix it, after which someone used it and broke it again.
i did repair it again and another break down happened from another person. this time i spent my little fortune to fix it and removes
it after i use it, though i keeps another old one that is not fit enough but atleast they manages it though it does not serve
perfect.
so my question is, am i being selfish or am i applying a common wisdom?

i just joined Eck family and i have good number of questions
the most important thing you should realize is that every situation or problem is teaching you something about life mostly about the spiritual laws that guide life. once you learn the lesson, the situation goes away and you move on to the next lesson.

so in every situation learn how to go within and ask the Mahanta to show you the lesson you need to learn from the situation. that is what really matters. always remember that you are not a victim and people are not out to get you or punish you.

Please can the singing of HU be done silently.
Yes

How can you tell if you are in the astral, casual, or any other plane when dreaming. Thanks
there is a Worlds of Eck chart that shows the major characteristics of each plane. including the sound and the predominant light you will experience. for example the predominant light in the astral world is pink. but that does not mean you will not see other shades of light. and the predominant sound is that of the roar of the sea. you can also find further details in some Eck Books like "The Spiritual Notebook".

You cannot measure spirituality by
the number of bad habits you have
or not. Nor by a certain number of
experiences. Awareness of the
moment and a joy for living can also
be an indication of where you are
spiritually.

How do someone become a member of eckankar.
very simple. go to the website www.eckankar.org, click on membership and go through the instructions you find there. through that website you can register online. you can also go to the nearest Eckankar centre that is close to your location and get more information.

I find it difficult to remember dream and experience, what do you think I should do.
the first step to remembering your dreams is doing spiritual exercises before you sleep.the basic spiritual exercise being the singing of the HU for at least 20 minutes before bedtime. then secondly start a dream book and record whatever you can remember when you wake up. continued practice will improve your dreams experiences and dream recollection.

What is the important of initiation and what will they consider before initiating someone.
initiation is simply a link-up with Holy Spirit. it opens you up in a gradual way to the inflow of the Holy Spirit and you are gradually turned into a lover of life and a pure channel to spread the love of God to all life.
you have to become a registered member and start studying the works of Eck before you can be eligible for initiation.

But what is the point or what are the benefits of making a Journey back to God in this lifetime?
the first question should be why are we here? what is the point of living on earth and moving from birth to old age and death? is it just to exist, have fun and at the end make do with whatever we see when we leave the earth theatre? the answer to the questions i raised also answers the question you raised

we are all souls created in the image and likeness of God. in us lies all the qualities of God but in a latent state. for us to fully realize our God-like qualities we were sent down to the lower universes were we pass through the furnace of birth and rebirth until we achieve full maturity and then make the journey back to God where we came from.

the benefits of making this journey is that you achieve total freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth and you become a master in your own right and can chose to serve God in any capacity in any plane of existence while fully expressing all the God qualities that are within you for the good of all life.
but of course not every body is ready or even interested in making this journey because they are still attracted to the passing shows that are prevalent in the lower universes. it all comes down to the choice of the individual soul in any particular lifetime.

Hi benodic, i recently met a former eckist. Upon querying him on why he left eckankar despite the fact he believed Eck teachings, he said that it requires a very high level of discipline to grow spiritually in Eck which was difficult for him. He also said that as you grow in Eck practise, you become more and more detached from this world as you become more and more aware in the spiriual plane. I'd like to hear your comments on this.
what he told you is the truth. ECK Teachings are for mature Souls. those who are ready to make the journey back to God in this lifetime. it is not a matter of making noise about it or shouting at the roof tops about truth. truth is a life to be lived while manifesting the God qualities that is already in you and once you put your hands on the plough there is no looking back.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do People Fear The Dead? by benodic:
The reaction is as a result of the doctrines we grew up with that fills us with so much fear and trepidation about the dead and after life.
Being a member of Eckankar totally eradicated that fear for me as i got to know through experience that soul is eternal and never dies.
It only drops the physical body when it is done with its lessons on earth and move naturally into the next plane.

Those who are connected with bonds of love can easily see their translated loved ones as love transcends death, unless they are afraid.
