A Seed for Contemplation

This is how we work with Divine Spirit. We try to look at life and find the laughter wherever we can, whenever we can, because laughter is the healer.

Happiness is not a matter of how your outer life appears to someone else. Happiness is a state of consciousness.

There is nothing like christian heaven. Once soul drops the physical body and enters into the inner planes all the religious tags simply drops away and soul faces judgement as soul not as a christian, muslim, buddhist etc. Your thoughts, words, actions and inactions are weighed on the scale of life and judgement duly passed

there are many heavens of course and the one you will go to is determined by your level of spiritual growth before translation.

I have never been bored in an Eckankar worship service. It lasts only one hour and has an interactive and contemplation session. never a dull moment.

You always leave with something practical that you apply in your life that will help you make your life and that of others better.

the followers maybe the master wanted
to be worshiped like lucifer wanted.
the followers are guilty and will pay for all the killings, all the torture and harassment they meted out to their fellow human beings in the name of religious misunderstanding. Ignorance of the spiritual laws of life is not an excuse. You will definitely reap what you sow.

Spirituality does not require you to lose your common sense and deep within us is the silent voice of the Holy spirit that directs us rightly on how to live our life. if a master or a book tells you to kill your fellow man for whatever reason and you go ahead and do it, be ready to accept full responsibility for that act.

If I get you right, you are saying
essentially that the purpose of all life is to
eventually become God (or Gods)
the purpose of life is for soul to become God-like. No one can become God.

According to you, there are many souls in
the spiritual who come into the material
world and start evolving progressively.
Now, how do you account for material
non-living things that do not evolve?
all forms simply serve as cloth for soul to wear including non- biological forms which also serve as cloth for soul to wear and experience life at that level. Physical evolution gave rise to various bodies which soul now inhabits. Once the bodies has been formed they do not continue changing again. That is why now, a monkey can not change to a human body.

Also, if you know anything about
evolution, you would know that it really
isn't progressing towards a single goal.
How do you know that homo sapien is
the penultimate stage?
the goal of physical evolution as i said earlier was the formation of various bodies which soul wears as cloth starting from minerals, plants, animal and finally human bodies. Physical evolution culminates in the formation of the homo sapiens which is the human body we are presently wearing. After that spiritual evolution takes off.

Another problem here is why would a
soul become a body only to become a
soul again and start it's spiritual evolution.
Why not start progressing towards
godhood since it is already in soul form?
why become material?
soul was an immature, unrealized being in the abode of God. In order for soul to attain maturity, God had to create the lower universes and sent souls down here to experience life and acquire maturity in that process. Just like sending a child to school.

Finally, an animal that is born a fish is
going to die a fish without making a
single jump in evolution. After it has died,
what happens to the soul inhabiting it
since that soul doesn't get to homo-
sapienhood?
a soul inhabits a body and gathers experience
. When the body wears out soul simply drops it and takes up another body at that level. But if it has acquired enough experience and has grown in consciousness it will then move up to a higher body. This takes several life times.
E.g a soul that has been wearing the body of a monkey after several incarnations as a monkey picking up lessons and growing in consciousness can finally move up and start wearing a human body to experience life at that level. It is soul that is moving from one level of body to another not the body itself.

benodic: @ Mr_Anony

souls on arriving in the material worlds took on material forms and started the process of physical evolution which ends with development of homo sapiens.
at the end of the physical evolution , spiritual evolution commences in which ultimately soul evolves to become fully God-realized being God-like and exhibiting all the qualities of God, omnipotence, omnipresent and omniscient. that is homo spiritualis, a fully evolved spiritual being.
Interesting. Would you like us to discuss this further because I have a few points I'd want to raise
fire on bro. i am waiting
Christianity Etc › Re: Different Dogmas But One Target by benodic: 10:04am On Oct 13, 2012
the problem is as a result of worship of personality. A master comes to earth with a message instead of the followers concentrating on the message in order to better themselves and become like the master too, they instead fixate their attention on the master and start worshiping and hallowing him and forget about developing themselves spiritually.

that is why Jesus told his disciples that he has to leave before they can receive the Holy Spirit, it was because they were too fixated on him and could not realize that the same Holy Spirit that was working through Jesus could also work through them. if you keep your focus on God in whatever religion you find yourself you can never miss your way.

BUT if one goes against reason, the irrational is unavoidable. I can't claim number one and number two are the same number. Reason is essential or else even your personal experiences must be interpreted meaningfully.
maybe i am not understanding you very well. what exactly do you mean by reason. can you back it up with a specific example so as to clarify it further. there is one thing i know and that is that in the search for spirituality you do not throw your common sense away, i do not know whether it is connected.

If we are all instruments of God's love, how come there is so much evil in the world? How come human beings find it difficult to love one and other? My bible tells me that the heart of man is naturally wicked.
that is why it is a contemplation seed. you are to take the passage into contemplation and seek answers to any questions within while listening for answers from the Holy Spirit.

actually becoming an instrument of God's love is a personal choice which is up to the individual soul. but all the same that is our destiny as soul to become pure channels for the love of God to flow into all the worlds. unfortunately many souls prefer to walk the path of power instead of love. human beings find it difficult to love because they are not opening themselves up to the Holy spirit to come in and make them better individuals.

the methodology in linking up to the Holy Spirit differs from one religion to another and it is what marks the spiritual core of any religion. without this link up and connection to the Holy Spirit a religion is practically dead because it has nothing to offer except words for people to debate and argue over.

in ECKANKAR, doing the spiritual exercises on a daily basis, the most basic one being the singing of the HU, a love song to God helps in opening up soul to the inflow of the Holy Spirit and you find yourself loving life naturally. also singing the spiritual words found in other religions as a love song will also open your heart to love. spiritually charged words like JESUS, GOD, CHRIST, ALLAH etc when sung as a love song with your eyes closed and your attention placed on the spiritual eyes which is the space between the 2 eyebrows will also raise your spiritual vibration and open you up to the inflow of the Holy Spirit. you can experience the Holy Spirit as a light or a sound which comes in various forms.

this is the practical aspect of religion. not the words or the arguments or counter arguments. do the spiritual exercises, go within and experience God for yourself and become the knower.

that is the way souls can start becoming instruments for the love of God and evil will naturally wither away. but of course the choice still remains in the hands of the individual souls.

@benodic since all religion can get in contact with the holy spirit and produce god-like characters, why did Jesus say we have to be born again to enter into the kingdom of heaven?
being born again is simply linking up with the Holy Spirit and being under its guidance. as the Holy Spirit flows more through the person he or she becomes more and more purified. the negative nature of that person starts falling away and the person becomes a new creature. this experience is privy to all souls that love God and love life. love and love alone is the key. the use of prayers like the Spiritual Exercises especially the singing of the HU has the power to open your heart centre to God's love enabling the Holy Spirit to start flowing through you gradually transforming you into an incandescent lover of God and all life. you no longer find it difficult to give love to all life because you have become love itself. It is through the agency of the Holy Spirit that soul is then taken step by step into the heavenly kingdom of God.

You are still using your personal experience as the ultimate authority for knowledge, rather than Reason. No one can say they don't exist, that's a fundamental truth. Likewise the strength of Reason.
my personal experience is my ultimate proof and authority that a truth is real or not. i will never just accept whatever is written in any book as truth without
experiencing it for myself. reasoning can only take you as far as the mental plane beyond that in the worlds of pure spirit the mind ceases to operate. those are the worlds of knowingness and beingness where you exist as pure soul.

this is what i have been trying at length to explain in my various postings in the thread" Where Do People Go When They Die?"
it is only when you have the experience that you will understand what truth really is. you have a choice when to find out. you can do that now by trying the spiritual exercises especially the singing of the HU which can take you consciously into the inner worlds or you can wait until you have a near death experience or even until you die. the choice is up to you.

the basic truths are universal indeed but the funny thing is that not many people are even ready to accept the most basic truths talk less of more advanced ones.

Talking about truth will never take you anywhere. You have to experience it to realize it in order to make it part and parcel of your life whereby you become the living truth. That step is what scares a lot of people.
Anyway there is no problem at all. Each soul will come into spiritual maturity when it is ready. It is just a matter of time.

What if a couple of people and mine
experiences don't account for the above,
will it still be valid.
truth is never for the masses because really most people do not want it and most are not ready for it. So even when it stares them straight in the face they will not even recognise it.
It is only the few who are bold and courageous can step boldly into the inner worlds and experience truth for themselves.
there is no way you can judge whether it is valid or not until you experience it yourself.

Otherwise you can continue with your arguments and counter arguments, proofs and counter proofs.

Those who have had the experience knows and will never be bothered about what the majority who knows not think.

Permit me to ask you this:
What's your view about these three -
God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit?
What I mean is what's your definition
for each of them?
God is the Supreme being. The causeless cause.
Jesus christ. A soul that reached the level of christ consciousness in which he realized his oneness with God and took the mission of letting his fellow souls know about their oneness withGod too.

The Holy spirit: God in expression. The life force that gives sustenance to all life and encompasses all life. Can be seen as a light and heard as a sound.

there is only one way to God and that is the Holy Spirit. it is through the agency of the Holy Spirit that soul is lead to all truth. all the masters who come to earth are only channels for the Holy Spirit at that point in time. as a channel for the Holy Spirit you are the way, the truth and the light. not you as an individual but the Holy Spirit that is now operating through you.

the Holy Spirit is a universal spirit and is not sole preserve of any religion. once soul comes into conscious contact with the Holy Spirit It becomes a changed being manifesting all the qualities of God. this contact is open to all souls be you a christian, moslem, atheist, buddhist etc. because in It we live, move and have our being. all it takes is the opening of your heart to love.

thanks a lot for your post. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Unfortunately people are ruled more by emotions than by logical reasoning talk less of by spirituality.

so the hatred and fight will continue on earth because they can not help it. It takes the spirit of God which is the spirit of love filling some one's heart to enable that soul to live above religious bias and love all life without discrimination.

Well fortunately heaven will not be bloody because once someone leaves this theatre of action called earth through the process of death, the scales usually falls from that person's eyes and truth and enlightenment dawns on him or her. The soul will then come to a realization of how it has wasted its energies on earth pursuing shadows instead of truth and by then all reasons to fight or hate will melt away like shadows when the light shines on the soul.

I used to believe but now i know.
1. That i am soul and i exist because of God's love for me.
2. That i was sent down to this world to learn Love and become a co-worker with God.
3. I got to know through my inner experiences with the light and sound of God.
4. I know it 100%
5. There is nothing that will take away this knowingness because i experience it on a daily basis.

Fallacy! It's a brain work, nothing really
leaves the body. Moreover, those who
believe in reincarnation say that the very
meaning of being reborn is to get a new
chance to better our situation.
If this is so, why in this day and age do
wickedness dominates the world scene
more than ever? If only good people are
reborn as humans, where did all the
wicked people come from? Should not
there be fewer and fewer wicked people?
Is the purpose of reincarnation not
defeated?
The truth is: Nobody, good or wicked, is
ever reincarnated to begin another life as
a human or anything else for that matter.
if that is what you accept as the truth it is very okay with me. I am not bothered in the least. We are here to say our side of the story of life. If my own side benefits you, then fine, you can make use of it. If it doesn't then you can drop it and move on, no problem at all.

In due course of time, when you are ready, you will know what is the truth and what is not.

A spiritual world built up by personal
experience? The possibility of error is
enormous. You could be insane, or
mentally exhausted, or sick. Coupled with
it is the lack of a common experience
among all humans of this nature. One has
to be skeptical and decipher this
experience.
people of like minds and like experiences gravitate together. You would not know about that because you have not had the experience. There are thousands of people who have had and when we come together to compare notes we understand each other perfectly well.

so i have nothing to prove to anyone.
What matters is how has your believes and experiences changed you. Is it for the better or for worse. If for the better then you are on the right track
