This your comment made me remember Donald Duke’s time. How’s Tinapa and Obudu today?
Duke's mistake was not incorporating a PPP setup to ensure the smooth running of Tinapa after his regime!

Any nigerian government at any level should not be in any business ! We are a callous and fantastically corrupt people. Even if Otti works well and makes it profitable another gkvernor will come in and ruin it if the people managing it don't do so before .
He can make it work by reviving it and then incorporate a PPP arrangement to ensure little to zero influence from future governors!

Banning imports have never solved anything in Nigeria. Instead, govt should provide the enabling environment for factories in Nigeria to survive like power and access to credits. The only reason importation is cheaper is because factories in China have cheap power and access to credit.

At least, some parts of Abia now have 24 hours light so the issue of power has been addressed. The next thing is to provide enormous funds for factories and businesses by giving them loans at single digits of like 4 to 5 percent. This will make locally produced items to be cheaper thereby killing the incentive to import.
Exactly

Jakpon:
This is the crux of the matter. The textile industry cannot be revived without banning the importation of textiles from china.

The problem therein is that those who are mostly into this import business that actually k!lls local production are people from the Governors region. They would be the first persons to start crying about marginalisation jf the FG attempts to ban import of cheap textiles from Asia
Have you also considered that the reason why importers go for foreign goods that should be produced here is because the production cost in achieving that same product is a 50 times higher due to insecurity, inconsistent power supply, multiplicity of taxes, transport cost etc?

You should also ask why rice in Benin republic is far cheaper than Nigeria!

The truth is that the cost of doing business as an average manufacturer is far more expensive than importing those products!
You can not stop importation...Its everywhere including countries with advanced economies like USA!

However,if the FG can provide effective security, reliable power supply, reduced transport cost and a harmonized tax payment, local production will get the needed boost and compete favorably against imported products!

Politics › Re: President Can Declare Emergency, Suspend Elected Officials - Supreme Court Rules by bentenny(m): 7:56pm On Dec 15, 2025
I wasn't expecting anything different!
Was this not the same supreme court that sentenced a farmer from Zamfara state to death for killing a killer herdsman?

How will you expect anything different when our 'scam' constitution empowers the president to select and appoint the CJN(Chief Justice of Nigeria)?

Do you expect a different ruling when the president's minister Wike is currently revoking lands illegally from owners and using the lands to build houses for federal and appeal court judges?

How can supreme court judges use a phrase 'extraordinary measures' to infer or imply that the section 305 empowers the president to suspend or remove elected officials when another constitution has stated clearly the procedures to remove elected officials?

The crazy thing is that transport fares will still rise this season. Nigerians enjoy nothing better than ripping each other off.
It will always be high because prices are unstable!
If prices keep coming down by a 100%,transport motorists will be forced to reduce their prices!
Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price To ₦699 Per Litre by bentenny(m): 1:40am On Dec 13, 2025
If our refineries were functional,by now the price of PMS and AGO would have been down by 150% due to competition with Dangote!

Transport cost would have reduced by 200% and prices of goods and services would sharply declined!

However, our refineries are at best comatose!
Rehab funds looted and the looters living large!

That's what happens when a president decides to be substantial petroleum minister instead of a qualified individual!

Until out Judiciary system is working independently on her own. Nigeria wont work...

Bulk of the challenges we are faced these days, the Judiciary system are responsible for all mostly...
For our judiciary to work, the NA must first remove the power of the president to select and appoint the CJN!
Unfortunately, the majority of the NA members are screaming 'On your mandate.....' and the current CJN belongs to Tinubu and Wike!

Is this not the same Ngige apc supporters were using to compare with Obi?
They even said they preferred him to Obi! grin grin
They want to use EFCC and force Ngige to renew his apc passport grin grin grin

This is why Obi is untouchable!
I dare EFCC to arrest Obi over any misappropriation of funds!
I'm not talking about all those fake beer parlour propaganda about Obi from agbadorian group chats that they collectively disseminate the same time as if they were robots grin grin
I challenge any apc supporter to provide any incriminating document of misappropriation of funds by Obi during his 8 years as state governor of anambra state!
Kindly send it to EFCC so that they can start the process though i doubt if it will be possible because this same challenge is now more than two years old grin grin

There are mass shootings everyday in USA, the number of mass shootings in USA in 2025 is already more than the number of days in the year, this should be their concern. But their concern is Nigeria’s solid minerals and oil, they will never get it, never ever again
If an independent company conducted a proper data in each Nigerian state based on massive crime, shootings and killings, that of america will be childs play!

Just because you do not have data doesn't mean there are less crimes and killings in nigeria compared to the US!
That stale and unsubstantiated propaganda wont work!
Atleast the criminals are caught, prosecuted and jailed while in Nigeria, victims like sunday jackson who killed a criminal out of self defence was sentenced to death!

Interestingly,if you were freely given a visa to work at US,you will go to church and give a testimony while you pack your stuffs and go to the US asap!

Aside the 3 goals scored? No pattern of play?
Why do you want to keep a whole 3 goals aside just so your agenda would agend?

Liverpool had a pattern of play. They took a 2goal lead. And even scored a third goal to restablish their lead. It was unfortunate that Leeds equalised in controversial circumstances. There was a handball on CalvertLewitt prior to the Tanaka goal.
Are you watching the back of your cathode ray tube?
You mean passing the ball around with no intention to hurt your opponent is a pattern of play?
Smh!
Keep making excuses for slot!
3-3 is the result!
Maybe just maybe when we start dragging 16th spot with westham and brendford....that's when you understand how terrible we are currently!
The most painful part is that these are very good players!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Leeds United Vs Liverpool (3 - 3) On 6th December 2025 by bentenny(m): 8:54pm On Dec 06, 2025
Aside the three goals scored, there was no pattern of play!
Just pass pass pass and pass!
No collective counterpressing!
I have said it and I will keep saying it...as good as Gravenbach is,he is no defensive midfielder!
Play Endo in that position until you get a DM by January but overall, there is no intensity and no pressing once again!
I have said it before that this controlling stuff will come to bite us.....
Once again Slot has tried but we have to admit that this style of play doesn't suit the players and since he can't change, then he should go!
If you can't get Klopp to salvage this season, get an areola or zidane!
