who gives a shit about sweden, if those guys don't perform they should not be paid simple.
I can also give other instances by sighting other nations!
Its nothing new!
Match bonuses are paid whether you like it nor not!

I am even prolonging this matter self they should remove themselves from the national team pls let see better people who are ready to serve and play for the Country with passion. If they call them let them not answer
Thats your opinion which you are entitled to but next time argue with facts and not emotions!

some of this issue has been with nff since and all this player knows it yet they enlisted they answer when get called upon, why now go ahead and play poorly like kindergartens
At the risk of sounding like a broken record,NFF are obligated just like every football association around the world to pay players match or appearance bonuses!
This is negotiated even before a ball is kicked in training and will still be paid no matter the outcome of the match!
What will not be paid is the extra bonus for winning!
For instance, there is an european nation that pays 5k euros for match bonuses and pays an extra 5-7k euros for winning the match!
All these information are online!
Go and read up on them and stop arguing blindly!

you are the one who lack basic comprehension if you can't understand my point. Those allowance are negotiated and agreed upon, yes but do they deserve it with what they are playing.
Its not in your place to ask whether or not they deserve it because match bonuses are negotiated and the NFF are obligated to pay no matter the outcome of the result!
Sweden lost their last 4 games and were kicked out from the WCQ but the players were still paid match bonuses!
What will not be paid are the extra bonuses that come with either winning or qualifying for a tournament!
Hope you understand or do you need me to coin it in your local dialect for better comprehension?

I don't know much about there earnings and all but I know there is allowance there is training allowance, camp allowance and a whole lot more so if they are getting all that but not there negotiated allowance why should they get paid at all with what they are playing. The fact that they travel first class and lodge in an hotel and have a good meal is more than enough with what they are playing.
This flawed comment shows once again that you have zero idea about what you are arguing about!
There is nothing like training or camp allowance and if they existed, thats not what the players are demanding!
What is in contention is the match bonuses which is also called appearance bonus for showing up to play!
That is what the players are being owed since 2019!

yes it warrants been asked if it is transport allowance or feedings allowance that is been owed because the money we are talking about here is big and in actual sense of it you can't get paid in full again if you've been paid half already. So what exactly are you saying. I maintain this guys have been paid half which they don't deserve and if I am in the position I will not pay them that owed half with there performance. We have guys who will play for Nigeria with dedication with half of what they are getting. I will only advocate for them if they are actually performing but with that quality of team in a country with over 230m people. I beg to differ
You are still not making any iota of sense and you are even doing so with confidence!
Lets even assume without conceding that they have been paid half based on your submissions,do you have any link to substantiate your argument?
Secondly, you claimed i demanded that they increased the match bonuses....can you show me where i said so?
Match bonuses are negotiated between the NFF and the players no matter the outcome of the match played, hence NFF are obligated to pay!
Finally,as much as i find this back and forth ridiculously funny, you are making absolutely no sense with all due respect!

its like asking someone who is owed salaries for years if its feeding or transport allowance inside his salary that is being owed! grin
That's how unintelligent your flawed comment sounds!
It also proves you have no idea what you are even arguing about or you might possibly be prolonging the discus out of a bruised ego!

However,my argument remains simple and unambiguous...If commitment is demanded from the super eagles players, then the NFF should pay them the match bonuses they were owed since 2019!
Its that simple!

There is no where in my previous comments where i solicited or argued for an increase in the match bonuses of the players!
If there was any,do well to provide the comments where i said so!

You are obviously mixing things up and further confusing yourself!
Being owed match bonuses is entirely different from seeking an extra in their allowance or match bonuses to what they are getting and i never said anything about them asking for more match bonuses!
its like a worker being owed salaries for more than 3 years.....he is only asking for the payment of the backlog and not an increase of his present salary!

Ehen this is where you engaged me like a civilised guy I think you are. First of all, I have been hearing of that England former players been paid pension or annual fee. I haven't substantiated it cus if true why is Paul Gascoigne one of their great players is wallowing in sef pity and poverty.
Is England the only country in europe?
Secondly, Paul isn't wallowing in poverty but entangled in alcoholism even before he retired from football!
Paul is not poor but spoilt!

Due you also know the current English players are made to donate their match bonuses to charities.
Once again that just one country out of many european countries that pay match bonuses to their national team players!

That shows the money is nothing to them, cus they earn well at their clubsides.
Thats for them but it should never be used as a yardstick for other european countries who pay!
besides,the england ladies collect theirs!
Italy, germany, spain,Turkey and other advanced european countries pay their national team players!

Have you noticed when England is playing, be it friendly, Qualifiers or competition proper they always make sure every players name is on the back of their shirt. So that when it's eventually one cap you have for England, you will always have pride in seeing your name in an England shirt.
That's why England and the likes are different from players. They played for pride and passion and not for the money cus their clubs pay them well and is enough.
They dont just play for just pride and passion!
It comes with huge benefits!
A national player of England both active or retired can access welfare and support which covers health and injury insurance, legal and contractual aid, pension access, financial assistance and career transition!
Patriotism works in both ways!
Now let me ask you...
How many of our retired national players that you know that have access to health or financial assistance from the football association?

So guy I know what I'm saying when I say, our players are not supposed to allow match bonus to distract them from making Naija proud.
Despite regurgitating England as your only yardstick or example, you fail to understand that patriotism comes with well thought out and rewarding packages which the England FA offer their national team players both active and retired!
I ask again....which retired national team player that you know receives health or financial welfare or benefits courtesy of NFF?

And beyond that give them strategies out of an abundance of security think tanks.

If not all you will have are merely more checkpoints and the familiar reactive deployments of personnel after incidents.

There must be a way to isolate these brigands living within communities. There must be a way of tracking outlaws wandering in the wildernesses and ungoverned spaces in Nigeria. There must be a way of cutting off funding to these terrorists. There must be a way of identifying their supply chains. There must be a way of neutralizing the radical ideologies fueling the Jihadists.

All these things form a comprehensive base the war against insecurity will rest and only proper coordination with all the government institutions involved will solve this highly complex issue.

Nigeria needs patriotic players and NFF should also pay them . If the allowances are too much to be paid, then let them use the civil service structure to pay them. If you don’t like it, do not come when invited.
Please name me any advanced country that owes it sports players match bonuses for more than 5 years?
Despite the poor performances from countries like sweden at their WCQs,they still got paid their match bonuses!
Match bonuses are not a privilege but a right demanded and negotiated by all players before they play their matches for their national teams!
Its not just nigeria but other advanced and developed football playing countries!
Other better run football associations will ensure players have been promptly paid their match bonuses on time before any match!
You can stop inviting players that are not performing but you cannot deprive players of match bonuses they had initially negotiated with the Nigerian football authorities!

Done for the national team or what the national has done for him. If not for the national team will most of the players be in their respective clubs today?
Who would have known Osimhen if not for the under 17 national team.
We have over 1 million footballers looking for this same opportunity this ones have, and are ready to play for free provided they get international exposure.
.
See I have a classmate we finish our sss3 in 2002 in warri Delta State. He was among Samson Siasia squad to Holland 2005 under 20 world cup which Nigeria lost to Argentina. Gift Atulewa, that was his name to me when we last met after the competition, that he didn't merit been among the squad to that competition. Not he doesn't know how to play or he's not good. But bcus 1. Him and Siasia are from same place in Bayelsa. And 2. He has to agree with Siasia to share his match bonus 50/50 and tournament bonus in case they win it. And agreed, bcus according to him the money wasn't really on his mind, but to travel outside the country and get international exposure. Which he eventually got, even though he didn't sign for a big club but some unknown quantity club in Europe.
.
As I am talking to you now, Gift is forever grateful to Siasia and Nigeria for him giving him that opportunity. As at today he has retired and not a poor man. And also a former Nigeria player.
So what am I hitting at here, this players are supposed to be grateful for Nigeria picking them and taking them to international tournament.
They fly some of them best aircrafts, lodge in some of the best hotels. And you will come here and by crying they're treating them bad.
It's a two way street!
England made the likes of Harry Kane,Rice and other big players in their national team to become what they are today!
Made the likes of David Beckham,Steven Gerrard and other great players and yet after their playing days were over, their FA through PFA assists them with financial and medical support esp the ones that have advanced in their age!
Italy,Spain,Germany and a host of other European countries do the same!
So why should Nigeria be different?

You lied there with that 10,000 and 20,000 euros you wrote there. Do you know England players mostly accept to give their match bonuses which is not up to what you quoted there to charities. Do you also know as at ten years or so ago when Nigeria was paying players $5k per match bonus, it was amng the top 5 highest worldwide. Google is there for you to check.
Nigeria NFF before 2019 were paying $10k dollars as match bonuses even they do sometimes owe the players. But when the players started underperforming, they switch it to firstly, we will pay you when you qualify from group stage of any tournament. And they continue as the tournament progresses.
But do they always perform in those tournaments, your guess is as good as mine.
.
In qualification this same players agreed with the NFF that they will only be paid match bonuses if they qualify for any tournament they're fighting for.
Aside that, do you know as at ten or fifteen years ago. Super Eagles players collects $200 as everyday camp allowance that doesn't fail. As at today they collect $500 daily camp allowance which is not part of their bonuses. They fly in the best aircrafts, lodge them in the best hotels, and they get to travel to different countries. This are things millions of very good footballers in Nigeria are praying to get an opportunity just for once and even for free.
.
But all these present crops thinks they're doing us a favor by playing for Nigeria. I hate it when a retired player said after all I have done for Nigeria. What rubbish did you do for Nigeria by playing or representing us. You almost collect 80 or if not 100% of your match bonuses and camp allowance, bcus of Nigeria you travel to many countries with sophisticated aircrafts and lodge in the best hotels without your ten Kobo in the expenses.
And yet you think you are doing Nigeria a favor. Tah make una go sleep and rest. Both the former players saying and thinking like this and the fans supporting them needs to have their heads rechecked.
When you said I lied, back it with facts not sentiment!
So why single out England that pays less?what about French players that collects within that range?
Italian, Spanish and German players collect within that range!
So what are you yapping about?

Well atleast you reluctantly and indirectly agreed that match bonuses are paid to European players...not just Nigerian players!

Have the players been paid? Yes or no?
Let's assume that they have been underperforming, does that imply that their match bonuses will reduce or be owed!
Despite the performance of Sweden in their qualifiers did the players get less than their match bonuses? Stop justifying the wickedness of NFF!
Italian players got paid their match bonuses despite their humiliating loss to the Norwegians at home!
Match bonuses are not privileges but a right!

And don't even make the excuse that nff is broke because fifa sends NFF more than a million dollars yearly!

When you say super eagles lodge in the best hotels and fly in good aircrafts, you make it look as if it's a privilege and not a right!
Go and see aircrafts and the hotels the English football association lodges their national team players!
Even Ireland lodge their players in the best of hotels...so why should super eagles deserve less?

Yes!
Every retired national player deserves to be taken care of because of what they have done for the national team no matter the sports!
Retired European players get financial, medical and welfare support despite making their millions during their playing days for clubs!
Go and verify!
Here in Nigeria, some of our national team players depend on handouts or political sycophancy for survival!
