nadesh: 1 day ato go. Finally, they made the best move bringing down from AM Showcase to Urban and Family. Best decision they've made so far. I wanted to write here that leaving it only on Showcase won't get them enough viewers to keep the show running coz Showcase is on DStv Compact and above and to be frank, many Nigerians can't afford it. One of the reasons why BBN is popular and successful is because a lot of Nigerians can subscribe to watch it. With this reduction, this reality show will be popular. I can feel it |

A lot of people will watch this upcoming Merike show, if not for anything, for the fact we're all on lockdown and barely have what to watch.
For football fanatics like us, no sensible or current matches are showing. So, Merike will get enough views.
Anyhow it turns out, Mercy and Ike are cashing out. Smart move by them. |

MJBOLT:
7/10
Yep. If I use latest rating to scrutinize it, I'll give it 6/10. But I'm more lenient. It's an old movie. I don't agree with the 23% Rotten Tomatoes gave it. I still enjoyed like I'm watching it the first time. |

Next (2007). 7/10
Old movie. I've watched it almost 10 times but I rewatched it again on DStv and it's still interesting as the first time I saw it. Currently showing as I type.

mekaprime: Lolz.... funny enough, you didn't know a marvel star, stared in that movie. Do see it again, but this time, pay close attention to every little detail. After that, come back & review your rating. You can't squeeze water out of a rock. Keeping expecting a sensible rating in his rebuttal. |

oyaskii: Worth it if you are the into historical drama specifically it's about world war II but the run time is ridiculously close to 3hrs. I'll download and keep it. On a boring day like today, I'll dig it up like I did to Waves and do justice to it. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 2:37pm On Apr 13, 2020 |
oyaskii: It was beautifully done i must say...was vexed when the movie kind of veered to a seemly different plot at one point but after seeing the entire movie i was able to piece everything together because it was so clear what the director was going for...pressure, downward spiral, acceptance, forgiveness and then redemption...and the scene pacing with the soundtrack was good...so top tier. The duration of the flick has been the major discouraging factor since two months ago I downloaded it. But 30 minutes into movie, I just wished it would reach up to 3 hours sef. |

Waves. 8.5/10
I've had this movie for close to two months if not more, but I'm just seeing today. The movie was beautifully written and well executed. The pacing was right. The emotions were raw. That's one of the beauties of the drama genre - it elicits emotions and gradual unraveling of the characters. It allows characters to develop.
The movies had the same emotional impact on me like its fellow contemporaries - The Florida Project and American Honey. It bears some resemblance with American Honey in particular. Definitely worth the over 2 hours duration. |

TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by Beorn: 5:46pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
laydoh: I stopped that series at season 3.
Just the same as blacklist. How can someone be an encyclopedia of crime. Red knows practically every criminal in the world. He always knows someone that would help. I grew tired of it and quit at season 4. Pls guys, is blacklist redemption better? Just saw the first episode. Same reason I quit the show. Redington knows everything. Very predictable one-directional series. I regret downloading the first 4 seasons at a stretch. Waste of MB. |

She deserved all the accolades she got, i gat to do some read up on her. And she's the ex-wife of James Cameron, director of Titanic, Avatar etc. |
