MJBOLT:Please go ahead and insult. You've done so in the past and I've never stopped you in any way or form. I'm more likely to insult you back when you insult me directly, but insulting my God, you're OYO. You can try and let's see if I'd give a hoot about your insults. Give it a try. |
whitelotus:I don't give a phuck if you insulted me, my religion or not, na your own problem be that; my butting into the discussion was to concur that atheists that I've known insults people's religions a lot and that's a fact. |
whitelotus:@emboldened shouldn't be an avenue to disparage Christians that believe in prosperity preaching because I don't see how that is tantamount to violence. People worship trees, it might not go down well with you and I, but it's their choice, and once it's not causing you body harm, let them have their right to their religious beliefs. As a Christian, I give offerings but not tithes. I instead help the poor I see out there in the streets. That's how I choose to give my tithes. I believe that giving it to them is me also giving to God. But another Christian might choose to give tithes to his pastor. That's his choice. I'm not better than him neither is he better than me. Whether they are gullible or not, you can choose to enlighten them without insulting them. Because if you're insulting or disparaging while trying to give him advice, he will barely listen to you. Manner of approach matters a lot. |
whitelotus:First of all, FFK is a mad man. Opinions are like ass holes and everybody is entitled to one. Gates is not a demon. Only a misinformed fool will say such. Bill Gates has done more for humanity, African and even Nigeria than FFK could ever dream of. It's not every opinion of his that I find sensible. Some I do, some I find stupid. Hell, even some Americans protested against Gates, does their opinions reflect that of all Americans? You said in the North? Let's tell ourselves the truth, Islam in that region is violent. People are forcefully converted to Islam. The ones converting from Islam to Christianity are slain or burned down. But in the South West, Islam is not practiced that way. What does that tell you? Do the math. This violent way is their way of life. Despite Saudi Arabia enforcing lockdown, some dumb Northern youths burned down police stations and vehicles for enforcing lockdown. These people are violent. Simple. And Christianity is very liberal. I can argue that Christianity is one of the most liberal religion if not the most liberal one. Everyday, our God and religion are mocked and we don't go about killing people for it. Christianity in the time past were violent at some point but no more. Of course, there are still some who would see non-believers as satanic, but most enlightened Christians in this modern age don't see them as one. |
MJBOLT:Is not. If someone choose to believe in a tree, it's his choice. If believing in a tree doesn't harm anyone, how's that your biz? You're an atheist. How does you not believing in any God, harm me? It's your choice and it's not my business |
DandeNummeruno:That's my problem with most atheists. They are hostile towards people's beliefs. I've only met one atheist offline who doesn't feel the need to disparage or demean the religions of others to prove he's an atheist. For me, as long as a religion is not harmful or causes bodily harm towards any human, people should believe or choose not to believe in what they want. |
Keep it up, Nadesh. Congrats to Mike and Perry. |
TopeQs:You've just awoken some deep memories within me. I watched this movie circa 2005 and loved it to bits back then. Used to vibe to Hardball by Lil Bow Wow Ft. Lil Wayne, Lil Zane and Sammie which was its OST. Hard to dive deep into my music archive in my HDD to fish out the song and blast it in my room tonight. Good memories. When "you know who" (let me not mention name to avoid spoiling it) died towards the end, I cried silently back then. It really touched me. Damn, I love this movie. For old times sake, I'll look for it and download it again. Don't care about its low rating. |
BlueRayDick:Then you haven't been conversant with arguments on this section if you think the person who rightfully got the L will accept it in peace. On these pages, people will turn the greatest amala despite glaring evidence just to make sure they don't take the L. |
whitelotus:There are a lot of idiocy on this site, and the forum isn't what it used to be back in the day, but amongst this foolishness, there are still some vital information you can still glean from time to time on NL. Don't stress yourself over a forum that's not yours. You've done your part by trying to advice people, move on and enjoy one or two threads you still find useful on this forum. Don't quit the forum either over some people's ignorance. |
switlily25:Or maybe this rivarly between Elo and Tacha was not there to begin with but rather reside firmly in the figment of the imagination of people who love hatred than love, people who bask in the euphoria of seeing two humans fight themselves. I was shocked to see Kimoprah in the video. The same Kimoprah that they said was hating on Tacha. When will people stop hoping these HMs are beefing each other after the house? Nice video, BTW. I enjoyed it. |
The Photograph 7/10.

nadesh:Lol. The time which was 20 minutes was stipulated that's why a lot of people missed it. I had to set my phone on alarm immediately I saw your pic that it'd be 20 minutes or else I'd have missed it since I was asleep by then. The IG Live was fun, I was busy admiring Mercy's decor. The girl is made for life. To imagine she got all those decor for free by just signing on the dotted lines is surreal. When God decide to pick one's call, blessings go dey come from all angles, left, right and center. |
Gbegirisoupp:It's been on o, since 4pm. Go log in and have a little fun. Leave argument for now. |
Mercy said "the Corona virus song". ![]() Mercy's sitting room is lit. Them finish work for that house I swear. Damn.
|
nadesh:No work today. I'm definitely tuning in for this one. I've missed all Mercy's live, but I've got time today. |
Seunpaul01:What are you on about? How could Pablo shut down the whole city to get his target when his target doesn't live in his city or controlled area? Does that make sense to you? Will Pablo leave his stronghold to go shutting down all cities in Colombia? Please, argue wisely. Oga, towns/cities differ in sizes. The city in Extraction is small with just ONE possible entrance which makes it easy to shut down. If a city or town has multiples exist points, it's practically impossible to achieve that. I don't understand why you think it's unachievable when a city or area is that small. |
whitelotus:Lol. The dude doesn't know the kind of power drug lords weild. No wonder he's doubting a drug lord can shut down the area he controls. |
Seunpaul01:Lol. Pablo that planted a bomb in a plane and wasted hundreds of lives just to kill one target? That's the Pablo you think can't shut down his city to kill a target. Are you kidding me? Pablo will do worse sef. You need to keep up with the latest happening. Google what happened when the son of El Chapo was arrested by the army some months back then you'll understand what you're arguing against. |
Seunpaul01:If Extraction is 3/10, what then will you give Bloodshot? Bloodshot would be -3/10. He didn't shot down the entire city, the movie was about an area in the city controlled by the drug lord. The entire city or state wasn't in play. Have you seen an area of a city being controlled by drug lords in real life? Those drug lords have the police in their pockets and the governors can't do shît. Go watch Narcos and other drug related series or movies. Besides, the movie is fiction, don't expect such to happen in reality. And it wasn't him alone. He had sidekicks that helped him. Even recruited the chief security of the drug lord he went to extract his son. The movie is not perfect but 3/10 is an overkill. If we scrutinize the movies you've given 9/10, we end up trashing them. |
whitelotus:Thank you o. I thought I was insane. Drama and sci-fi plus action plus superhero doesn't go hand-in-hand sef. |
whitelotus:Lol. I'm not a hater. The hype on his thread and on my WhatsApp status was too much that I thought I had another Saving Private Ryan on my hands. ![]() |
mekaprime:I'm really shocked that IMdb categorized Bloodshot under drama. WTF? Maybe I don't know what drama means again. The Great Debaters and Mudbound are classic examples of drama movies, I wonder what they have in common with Bloodshot that's action, sci-fi and superhero genre. |
whitelotus:How does gore make a movie very good? Haven't you seen movies with more gore than sensible plots and ended being universally condemned? Cinematography is on point. I agree. But I don't know where the suspense came from. I for one was never in suspense having seen the intro and knowing what was probably going to play out in the end. God acting? Lol. Clive Owen gave me better action in Shoot 'Em Up and wasn't said to have reach god acting level. Unless you mean good acting which I agree that Chris delivered in his role. Don't get me wrong, Extraction is a good movie, but it's nothing really very special that really kept me at the edge of my seat or left me wowing. |
mekaprime:Bloodshot is not drama. It's Action and Sci-fi and sci-fi are not realistic. But what ruined it is wack storyline. Minority Report is action and sci-fi but an innovative plot. So, I don't see why action can't have a dope plot. I have no problem with actions having no solid plot, all I'm saying is, I won't give Extraction a very high rating based on the actions alone. 7/10 is not a bad rating for it, but I don't think I'll give Extraction anything more than 6.5/10 |
whitelotus:Bloodshot had more than 2 good action scenes to me. Our choices differ. The action scenes were okay but the storyline wasted on poor uninspiring script that lacked solid idea. Shitty dialogue? So, did Extraction have great dialogue? I can't seem to remember any great dialogue in Extraction other than the normal dialogue. I didn't insinuate that simple is bad or that convuluted story is better. This is not a psychological thriller. Both Bloodshot and Extraction had simple plots. Extraction is better than Bloodshot and I'm not even comparing both. All I'm saying is that apart from the action scenes, there was nothing else catchy in it. Bad Boys For Life or Hitman's Bodyguard are actions as well, less bloody than Extraction, but they had lots of humor to go with the story. Extraction is simple and straight to the point, but nothing else to justify the hype around it. You gave it 7/10. It's cool. We both can't give the same rating. 7/10 is not too far from the range I gave it as well. |
whitelotus:I didn't set out to look for anything in particular. I just watched and rated it based on the action scenes, but since it faltered on the storyline, I'm not gonna rate it 9/10 like many people are doing. It's a good action movie but that's it. Action movies and good storylines are not mutually exclusive. Bloodshot had good action but bland storyline and got criticized. |
hulk618:The movie had good action scenes but the storyline wasn't quiet catchy, it was basic. Still a good watch and I recommend it for everyone that loves action movies. |
Extraction 6/10. |
