I meant people on the forum are building. They are not just showcasing. It is when there is problem they will bring it to the panel of judges.

I think it also has to do with a lot of people not getting reply's to some of the questions being asked I know the forum is big & sometimes you miss most of the post but asking a question and getting blanks most times hurts. correct me if am wrong am also trying to look at it from another angle

You are welcome. The room sizes are standard but not luxurious. I don't know how much of land you have. Only d dining would be choked up. Considering that it's a transition area by this design, let Ur designer look into making it wider.

Don't cancel the store. Trust me, you will need it. If not a food store, a box room.

Generally, I think your architect did a good job. Except for your eccentric choices( if you do have), I think the design is very OK.

tnx sir for your response. on the no 1 the architect said the windows wud b sliding so no problem. please expantiate more on d chamfers

My observations:

1. Move the window of the dining room to flush with the wall demarcating the main flat and the selfcon. This is because the kitchen door is obstructing a little part of the window.

2. Reduce the walk-in closet of the bedroom beside the kitchen as well as moving the bathroom in same so as to have a recess of about 900mm. This is in order to have a small window slot in for cross ventilation.

3. Why have that chamfers at the edges of the building because I doubt there would be same at the roofing of the building except there would be a kinda aesthetic column/pillars at the spots.

I will start by giving glory to Almighty God for His faithfulness over my life and also providing for me to start this project.

I got this piece of land in Ekiti state, omisanjana, Ado Ekiti precisely at the rate of 300k. My plan is to abandon it for awhile before starting it, but I was moved by the encouragement I got from here, that we can actually build with little money, not until it reaches million.

I will try and be updating as the project goes on, and I will love the experience builders here to come in with critiques and advice.

Also I will updating the prices of materials used as it goes..

one of the length is 25 ft & the other 50 ft while one of the width is 125ft (was compensated with 25ft from the one i lost from the other length) while the other width is 100ft. its quite a funny shape
