And to think should PO decides to contest he would have his SS and SE votes this same as this year's or even greater depending on Tinubu's performance - which I know he would perform reasonably well, that PDP will be left with just The North. SW is a no go area. In 2027 you'll see it play out.
And only Atiku is that northerner with the resource to aim for the presidency.
See,If PDP picks a southerner and PO chooses to contest they would come third but not with Atiku.
Bulk of PDP's votes came from the north. Infact more than half in it's entirety.
So they need someone who would still command and control that northern terrains and rein in their own people in the south to scavenge for whatever votes remaining.
That's my point.

Atiku is still in control of the PDP structure.
Aside Rivers and Oyo, especially with Ortom and his G5 renegades poor outing,the leadership of the party in these states will now answer to wherever the PDP stands.
Saraki,Dankwambo ,Bala and co has no clout as Atiku's.
PDP will field a northern candidate in 2027.
Any other thing will mean an outright defeat.
Had the PDP southern caucus worked with the mein of Adeleke and the brutish strength of Wike, especially SS,a rerun would have been possible.

You should have said peace left alaigbo through kanu. Kanu got angry because Buhari won Jonathan. He started calling Nigeria zoo and all sorts of bad names. He brought anarchy and chased away peace in alaigbo. The peace only exited south east that was once peaceful unlike north that had been having challenges with boko haram even before Jonathan ruled. It is only south east that peace exited through kanu, who is enjoying himself inside prison now

There's no case scenario in the last elections that would see Peter Obi winning. Most of Atiku 's votes came from the north. I don't see northerners voting for Obi in the near future

Again, he has been in and out of the Party, no formidable groundswell to get Votes anywhere excepting in 2/3 States in the SS, he just can't.

PDP's best bets today are Atiku (no matter how we see it), Seyi Makinde & Peter Obi.

Makinde will not go against his brother, PDP see Obi as Judas it won't work.

Atiku remains in pole position to still seize it.

Why do you think even with Atiku, Peter Obi,Kwankwaso, Wike in PDP in 2019 couldn't defeat Bubu that failed woefully first term? It is because INEC rigged the 2019 elections.

If you say they split their votes when they went their separate ways, how come APC got 15 million votes in 2019 and 8million votes in 2023? Who split APC votes? If Atiku or Obi had gotten 10 million votes, APC would have gotten 11million. Thats how terrible INEC is but the court will correct this nonsense
