Your sit down in air conditions and propose 1million% for kano down to Niger republic if theylike but the most important thing is that SESS holds the yam and the knife. Avengers, NDGJM, JDNDF, etc will determine what nigeria gets or not. As long as they are angry, don't be too sure the money will flow regularly.

Do you even know what VAT means?

Phones / Re: Before You Put A Screen Lock On Your Phone Read This by BerryBlaster: 8:03am On Jul 24, 2016
marshborn:
A friend of mine was involved in a a motor accident on his way makurdi, somewhere in a remote part of benue state, according to eye witnesses he became unconscious and was rushed to the local health centre around that area for first aid treatment.

The good samaritans that helped were able to locate his two phones and they tried contacting his family or friends to inform them of his where about, but to their disappointment the two phones were locked. He stayed in the state of coma for two good days before finally giving up the ghost, because the local health centre lacked the professionals to keep him alive.
Had his phone been accessible he might have stood a better chance of being alive today.

So avoid putting a screen lock on all your phones, it's okay to lock certain applications that may contain personal messages and informations e.g mobile banking app, WhatsApp e.t.c. but at least leave the contact list accessible to everybody, DON'T PUT A SCREEN LOCK.
This might just save your life.

Haba Op. For two good days and none of his family members call his phones. Then I believe they wouldnt have come even if they were called.

Nice ideology. Coz I've been trying to fully comprehend the new policy.

However, I have a question and I would make use of your ideology.

I believe the abbatoir didn't just decide to be selling 10 cows. Perhaps they were selling based on what the have. Now they have allowed everyone to buy/sell meat as they can. What's the guarantee that they have enough cows to go round for everyone? Even the BDCs, how do they get their cows in such a way that the price would be down? How easily do they source/get their cows?

There are alot of coys(Oil & Gas, agric, hides and skin e.t.c) that export but were compelled by CBN to sell their export proceeds at the official rate. With this, I believe to an extent, the rate at which they will sell is theirs to determine. That is why the CBN says it will be intervening when the need arise, i.e if the suppliers decides to hoard, CBN will flood the market and the price will crash. And fyi, the CBN has exempted sale of FCY to BDCs through this window.
Business / The Common Man’s Guide To The New Forex Policy, As Explained By A Local Butcher by BerryBlaster: 11:06am On Jun 18, 2016
The Governor of Central Bank,  Godwin Emefiele, on the 15th of June announced a new foreign exchange policy called the “Automatic exchange mechanism of the exchange rate”.

In simple terms, they are floating the Naira, which is a lot like throwing a floater into a swimming pool and not touching it, but allowing the movement of the water and the breeze decide where it goes.

We tried to explain what the new forex policy means through the eyes of a local butcher, let us call him Forestus.

Forestus buys cows, butchers them and sells to customers. But recently, the abattoir management decided that they want to make sure meat does not become expensive, so they decided to peg the price.

Now the abattoir management is selling 10 cows per day, at a reduced price. This might sound like a good thing but those 10 cows are not enough for everyone. So scarcity ensues.

Forestus decides to buy cows from another place. Some people that have up to 1000 cows start bringing them to the next compound to sell. Let us call that compound the BDC cattle market. But Abattoir with their I-too-know is saying that Forestus must sell at the price lower than he bought it. Forestus is like, you know what?

So he just starts to give his meat to his wife to go and be selling to her friends at the ministry. So as they are watching AfricaMagic Yoruba and not doing any work, she’ll just be saying “I have meat for sale oh!”

But you see, this thing abattoir is doing ehn!, the suvvring is too mush. No meat for butchers to sell. No meat for people to buy and use to eat jollof rice or egusi soup.

This is the problem now; BDC has cow, but it is expensive. Abattoir doesn’t have enough cows, but it is cheap.

After one year, the abattoir manager, Chief Godwin just says, “This thing is making people suffer sha.” So he listens to what abattoir people have been saying. Chief Godwin decides that he is going to take his hands off the price of cow to an extent, and let everybody start buying and selling as they like.

When we asked Forestus what he thinks about this, he goes.

Now everybody in BDC compound has moved back to the main abattoir. So much cows to sell.

But you see, these cow sellers did not reduce the price of their animals. Shakara.

But if Forestus wants to buy cow from Danladi who pegs his price at 100 thousand, and Balarabe in the next stall says it is 90 thousand, who will he buy from?

Balarabe of course.

Nobody will tell Danladi before he will know that he is supposed to reduce the price of his cows. Unless he doesn’t have sense.

Very soon, all the cow sellers will abandon shakara, and since there are plenty cows and plenty options, the price of cow will have to reduce. And everybody can cook soup in peace.

Just like tomato; when it was plenty in the market, 5 plums sold for 100 Naira. But when it became scarce, 5 plums became 600 naira.

Forestus is not an economist, but he knows that the higher the supply of meat, the lower the price. Excess meat in the market, lower prices.

Excess forex in the market, stronger buying power of the Naira. It might not be instant, but it will happen eventually.

Education / LIFE LESSON - True Life Story by BerryBlaster: 8:11pm On Jun 04, 2016
A Group of friends, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and assortment of cups – porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite – telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups…..And then began envying each other’s cups.

Now consider this: “Life is the COFFEE; the jobs, money and position in the society are the CUPS. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us”. God brews the coffee, not the cups.

NOTE: The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
