Alright guys, i'll use my experience on gaming to sort this out,.. i grew up with a couple of Austrian neighbors, ok.. the kids had this GAME console that just had two bars @ each end of the screen and a ball that bounces tro and fro like they are playing tennis(u dig?) . me & my friend Kingsley usually watch them play trough the curtains and i swore i was going to get me one as soon as i got the cash. Fast forward to the present day...my present laptop(17.3inch screen) is the third i have been gaming on since i sold my P.S1, in all this , i found one thing , the nagging force or consciousness to go better, am presently going for a desktop p.c build , which hopefully will calm this feeling down for some time , bearing in mind i could always upgrade the parts if i wanted to, which wasn't the case in all of my earlier platforms. I can say , this as a fact a gamer never stops to push for the better platform because of that "nagging force or consciousness to go better" the same can be said of any human passion, it never stops to push you,.....that is why i have being spending more each time on my passion(gaming),.. you see it never seizes! if it doesn't push you then you probably aren't very passionate!!!!

Gaming / Re: Any real pes player here? by bertoseve: 9:27pm On Sep 07, 2016
Lol, as a football fan and enthusiast, it makes sense to apply ones knowledge of "the beautiful game" in playing PES or FIFA, my take here is, there is nothing more exonerating than applying ones technical knowledge of the game to outwit any style of play. that said , your pals that don't "explore different techniques of passing but just go for the goal, may be likened to most underachieving sides( most english football teams) then your style of dribble and constructive passing game could be likened to the most successful teams style like real Madrid and the like, ...so my friend i'll encourage you to improve you technical knowledge of the game, believe me it always overcomes direct play smiley cheers!
I play pes alot both on android and pc platform but now i'm beginning to hate the versus with my frnds becos once they've got the ball they always go for goal without dribbling or exploring different techniques of passing and such.... I like to take my time nd dribble my way into the net for that i lose lots of matches nd they start chanting "i'm the boss" . Lol cheesy it's very funny. They ar driving me crazy! They think the goals make them great...assholes. Many people marvel at my passing, dribbling skills... I am tired dats why i decided to vent my anger here cool

It's human & natural for most parts to take sides with the "underdogs"..in this case with this budget build, being not so high in features, naturally will draw sympathy votes as it where and more so if does reasonably well, which in this case ,it did perform much more than we expected all this coupled with the fact that you BUILT THIS! and in doing so, you gave it LIFE! it can be compared to having ones own baby smiley smiley, this feeling is evident of the love you put into building & giving life to this baby. IN nature anything done with the input of love never fails to impress and last. i can only hope that in all of your subsequent builds, this love will be a part of the inputs. It's ok to feel the emotions and i for one,i've followed this from the beginning and seen your enthusiasm and i know we all here will want to have one of your creation cheesy
AKBliv010:
It's with mixed emotions that I have to send the build away...there's always that sentimental value attached to builds I have completed. It's been packed now cry

I can put together rigs for different requirements. The key components required for instance a Media content creation rig, gaming rig, web browsing rig are all different but that what I enjoy doing..knowing the limits of each component makes it easy to carefully choose them to compliment each other.

As one of your "students" in this class, i did't just view the videos you uploaded, i downloaded them, reason being that, i'll like to refer to them from time to time in other to understand and explain this build, yes, its a budget build but you selected the components very well thereby having them compliment each other to chun out performances that are well above a budget build's smiley this my friend, is a RIG! .....look,... all of us should be looking to you to build their own!

Lolz, AKBliv010 ,what can i say...like the other dude said, p.c build pictures are WOW! shocked ,haven seen this, one would be wondering how is it that you say some of the components are used,...they look new to me! besides the you did a very professional job here, by that i mean the assembly resembles that done by a professional, all the cables are well tucked in(do you have a standard blue print from any brand). you took your time in doing a perfect job. anybody opening this system may be tempted to think its factory supplied or assembled.

What an intro! cheesy, definitely caught my attention ....i'll be following this for sure.
AKBliv010:
Folling a request from a fellow nairalander, I will be building a budget oriented PC here and shipping to Nigeria. It's a mix of new and used parts based on the availablily of some of the components required. It should be noted other options of parts choice were discussed and this was tailored for his needs and budget.
The build will be primarily used to run some Engineering CAD software and light video editing tasks and also be able to handle some gaming.

Here's a parts list

CPU - Intel core i5-2400 - This is compatible with the LGA1155 socket and sports 4 physical cores so will be great for multitasking and running applications that make use of multithreading.
Motherboard - Asus H61M microATX motherboard
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB - excellent 1080P card with the 4GB buffer...most games will run at High Setting
RAM - Team Elite 1600MHz DDR3 8GB - this is very essential for multitasking and CAD/Light video editing programs
PSU - Corsair 430W 80+ certified semi modular unit. This should make cable management easier to deal with.
HDD - 2000GB Western Digital hardrive...plent of space for games, music and videos
Case - Corsair Carbide 88R windowed case- good airflow case when its time for gaming, silent for when doing light tasks.
Case fan - Antec True UFO 120mm White LED airflow fan

I should have the parts delivered by the end of the week and hopefully will upload a video build of it...I just need a camera stand or cameraman grin... I'll have to ask the missus nicely.

I see, just like a laptop with really noisy fans, i know that feeling...at the threshold of an inspirational idea breakthrough, one needs absolute silence , which i prefer to describe as absolute peace

Absolutely pissed off at the moment, this power supply doesn't have zero-rpm mode so the fan is always on...returning it and picking up one up the Corsair SFX 450W instead. When PC is idling, I like silence. I'll never recommend the silverstone SFX 450...hell no!
Is it so much of an issue if the fans don't have zero-rpm mode? i think there are more salient properties to consider ,like efficiency maybe?
