When you've owned a dog from 7 weeks old till almost 6 months old you can almost sniff it from afar not to talk of markings.

So I had offered to give away this pup but it seems the person that I offered it to has changed his mind.
It's a GSD ROT mix. 5 months old with all dewormings and vaccinations up-to date. It is lively, intelligent, agile alert and aware of its territory.
Note that I shall be open to anyone in Abuja who is interested to pick it up. If you are outside Abuja please do me a favour to arrange it's transportation to your destination. I shall do the best to drop it off with your contact who will ensure and take responsibility that it gets to you. I do not wish to receive any waybill funds etc. It is free of charge.

No qualms. They are gearing up for their trips to new homes. First three in a couple of days owners too exited, can't wait any longer. Wants them over for the Easter. Another two follow. Before Easter weekend too. Other pups booked with payments even. Only two pups left.

Spike (Dogspan)... The sire.

The pups turn 5 weeks old. Milk teeth shown. They have transited to mashed Booster feed smoothly but still adore dam's milk obviously. The dam allows them to suckle but you will notice the quantity is diminishing and she stands up. We still do SMA 0..6 months to ensure they have their full.

Pups stand with a slight slant in gait. Obvious from the slant Sire, Spike of Dogspan Kennel, Abuja. Four pups are black/tan. Another four are fawn looking like the dam when it was a pup. One pup seems to have it all in terms of markings. This one pup is the one that yaps most.

Next week they all go for their first shot and will have their third deworming. So it's gonna be an Easter weekend with new owners who have shown their hand in Lagos, Ibadan and Abuja here. Only few pups left.

I'm making a guess you are referring to a post much earlier in the thread where I had tried to know the number of pups expected in the liter. A trained hand, a Vet, via manual means may be able to feel pebble shaped embryos around week 2 of gestation. A scan can give a more accurate result. I am no Vet. It was my attempt at just trying to know. I was wrong by a wide margin of 6 pups.

So this week we get some toys for the pups to help them socialise better. We also take them indoors to get used to different sounds like the TV, humans having convos and all sounds they could encounter later in life. This is important to ensure they don't end up as fear bags, unbalanced and unpredictable. It's also good so they know humans are part of their world and learn to relate accordingly. Puppy mills take this for granted believing they will adjust later. They currently don't understand fear and it's best to tap into this stage to get them balanced and rounded.
