I want to ask does Imo state starts and end with painting and planting weeds on the shabby roads of Owerri constructed by former govs?? |
Ok here is Ama-Nwaozuzu to Ikeduru, it is now unpassable. Meanwhile the gov borrowed 70 billion.
|
This is Imo state University Teaching Hospital what is the difference between this and charlet? Meanwhile the governor borrowed 70 billion for painting of roads built by former govs.
|
This is to think that the state does not do any other thing other than to paint roads built by past governments. Are rural areas not part of the state? |
Okay check this out, this is Ahiara-Mbise road.
|
There are bad roads everywhere but not when a governor has borrowed 70 billion+federal allocation+13% derivation. |
More on that road.
|
berem: Chino! I can now confirm that you are the Igbo version of Musiwa. Don't kill yourself over Rochas o! Focus more on Anambra state and her forthcoming elections and leave Imo alone. This thread is absolutely unecessary!Ezi okwu, this thread is about exposing the wickedness of man.. |
Our leaders should be held accountable for all these wickedness.. |
Ibe anyi nu have you guys seen a road as bad as this anywhere? But Okorocha borrowed 70 billion, this is the wickedness he is showing the poor people of Imo state. This is one of the roads in Imo state rural community.
|
In the same Owerri Okorocha borrowed 70 billion
|
This is one of such roads built by Mbakwe but okorosha borrowed 70 billion just to paint and plant grass on it.
|
It is on record that Imo state receives highest allocation in the SE from FG. Imo state receives 13% derivation from federal government. Imo state has borrowed over 70 billion under Okorocha aside from the one took by Ohakim. But with all of these funds, the health sector is shambles, educational infrastructures are in sorry state, unemployment rate is very high that youth migrate to other states for economic survival. What about the rural roads? We are going to expose the wickedness of man against man here on this thread. What the government of Okorocha has been doing all these years is painting and planting weeds on the roads built by Mbakwe 30years ago. I will good people of NL to post pictures of achievements of Okorocha in all the sectors I listed above. Thank you The Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Allocation Commission [RMFAC] earlier this month raised alarm on the debt burden of some states in the Federation. The National Assembly has also raised the same alarm. The Imo State Government has severally said that she has no loans taken since the inception if this administration. But during the budget presentation, for the 2013 budget, it became clear that Imo State government is heavily indebted. The budget reveals that twenty two (22) billion naira loan was obtained by this administration in 2011, and sixty one (61) billion naira obtained in 2012. The government further seeks the approval of eighty one (81) billion naira loan for the coming 2013. These figures do not include the forty five (45) Billion naira loan obtained from Zenith Bank using the Local Government Area Allocations, as collateral. If the State House of Assembly approves the budget, with the requested 81 billion naira loan for 2013, Imo would have taken a total of 211 Billion Naira loan in 2years of Rescue Mission administration. This is a serious problem because it amounts to mortgaging the future of Imo Youths. When you add the allocation received by the administration during this period, you will start to wonder what Imo have to show for these enormous amounts of money. We must all be cognizant of the fact that our primary source of income in Imo State Government still remains the revenue allocation from the Federation. As a matter of fact, Revenue allocation to Imo State contributes over 98% of Imo State’s income. Revenue allocation on the other hand is totally dependent on the volatile world oil market. With new oil discoveries every day in other parts of the world, and the decision by the United States to exploit her oil reserves, the price of oil may eventually be on a permanent downward trend. What this means to Imo State is, may be, we may have put our state in a situation that she may not be able to get out from. To compound the problem, none of these monies had been used in income yielding projects and assets. If there are no substantial increases in the allocation to Imo State, Imo may be unable to service these loans, while paying the salaries of its work force. Already we are bow experiencing the early stages of serious financial hardships. Employees of Imo State University Teaching Hospital claim that the last salary they received was the salary for the month of September. It is now almost the end of December, and most of the employees of the teaching hospital have yet to receive October salaries. Furthermore, retired primary school teachers in the state are also claiming to have only received January and February pension checks. How do you expect a pensioner to survive without his or her pension check for almost 10 months of the year? The right to pension is a vested right and should not be tampered with. As a well meaning Imo citizen, I appeal to the members of the House of Assembly to take a very serious and look close at the budget before passing it. An additional penny loan to the state’s debt profile may spell doom for Imo State and her people. A state that has less than 130 billion naira total income annually cannot survive with over 200 billion naira debt. Passing the budget with the inclusion of 81 billion naira loan approval to the executive will amount to giving the executive the choice of either servicing the loan and keep Imo State from defaulting or being able to pay salaries of employees. Knowing our governments, past experience tells me that the choice may be retrenchment. Imo must be better, but Imo can only be better of we do not spend the future of our children today. Imo can only remain better, if she is returned back to the hands of God. - See more at: http://www.imostateblog.com/2012/12/16/mortgaging-the-future-of-imo-children-dr-kelechi-okpalake/#sthash.6XRK9ZBn.dpuf |
okay time is up meet you there.. |
Abagworo: No need for a wasteful thread. The videos I posted above are self-explanatory. The two towns look neglected and infrastructurally challenged as recently as January 2011. Ohakim was Imo Governor then and Obi was already in his 2nd tenure as Anambra Governor. All we have to do is to re-visit the two towns again today and make videotapes of same spot. Okorocha is about entering the 3rd year of his 1st term or 2 and half years precisely.Abagworo show us what okorosha has done with 70billion loan+federal allocation+13 derivation for three years in power. He has wasted three years painting roads built by Mbakwe. What has he done in education, health, employment generation etc..? It is on record that without Anambra borrowing a dime is far more developed with roads traversing all parts of the state. |
achi4u: please open that thread ...we are waitingAm only giving him the benefit of opening such a thread himself before I create it.. I have already set the thread up, when the time is up I will hit the bottom.. |
Abagworo you are running out of time because am opening a thread on what okorosha has done with 70billion loan+federal allocation+13 derivation. All the legacies of Ohakin, Okorosha has diabolically abandoned. Okorosha has visited imo state people with evil, no development, no employment, no infrastructure. The orlu road he started since 2011 show us the current pictures. For past two years he has abandoned the project and contractors are owed. |
Ayekotoo: have written this before. nobody should take you serious cos you are not different from Musiwa, FSU, Willywilly, freewilly, atouke, keleproten etc with no iota of truth and intelligenceDoes it matter, if it has been written before? What matters is the answer to that is provided because it is pertinent questions for the poor people of the state. |
manny4life: I swear, I don't know where you get the strength for this argument...Strength? I have been bombarded with delicacies today..you can imagine.. ![]() |
Abagworo I give you 20mins to open a thread and show us what okorosha achieved with the 70billion loan+federal allocation+13 derivation. On the expiration of that 20mins I will create a thread to that effect! |
Abagworo: Imo State under Okorocha has changed miraculously in the past 2years as evident from at least Orlu city. Orlu was like Nnewi as at 2011 but today Orlu is moving towards Owerri looks with dualized roads, walkways and streetlights on most major roads in the city. It might not be completed but if you imagine how it will be in say 4 years time, you'll understand how Obi wasted 8years. The other issue is schools. Imo government is building 305 schools out of which over 100 is completed. Rural roads are also ongoing with many completed. That's the kind of change we want for all of Igboland and not lies and lies upon lies from you Obi's supporters. All of Igboland is experiencing industrialization and increased commerce because of oil boom but Government needs to invest in basic infrastructure as well as education, health and agriculture in order to have a sustainable growth even when oil prices drop.Show us present state of orlu and owerri. All the roads okorosha started since 2011 has been abandoned. Contractors are not paid. Show us roads in rural imo state. Show us what okorosha is doing on health sector, show us what he doing on education, show us what he is doing on employment generation. All the roads okorosha painted were built by Mbakwe. Lemme tell you imo state is still in the woods. Until they get an Obi they will remain stagnant as far as development is concern. Obi has touched all the sectors: education, health, urban/rural development, employment generation etc. Obi achieved all these without borrowing a dime, and the state remains the least indebted state in Nigeria. Can you beat that! Open a thread and show us what okorosha achieved with the 70billion loan+federal allocation+13 derivation. Show us now! |
manny4life: Biko, I take God beg you, PLEASE leave Owerri out of this. Let him comment on Anambra if he wants, it's his mouth... To avert Anambra/Imo bantering of words. Biko, let's just leave it as it is...His comments on anything Anambra often trigger what he seeks. How can sane person say that nothing has changed when on the other way round it is his state has remained largely underdeveloped. |
Abagworo: Political bigotry at its peak. Industrialization in what sense are you talking about? And 2ndly which job did Obi create and which industry did he build? Obi has changed nothing in Anambra. Nnewi is still as it was, Onitsha is still Onitsha Awka is still Awka and any new developments remains mostly self-help from successful merchants or civil servants based outside the State.Nwokem, what moral ground do you have when your home state is worse off? On what basis do you make your own judgement, when it is on record that okorosha in imo state has borrowed over 70billion without nothing on the ground to show for it except that he painted some shabby roads in Owerri. It is on record that outside civil servants there is nothing else happening in Imo state. Apart from what you called 'roads' in Owerri other LGAs has become shadows of itself without motorable roads. Most of your your youthful population are still residing outside of the state. It is a known fact that 1/3 of Imo state population are living in Anambra particularly Onitsha. So stop talking when you know that okorosha is the worst thing to happen imo state. |
Chima_Adeoye: Please make the pictures bigger.I had to compress it, as it is above 200kb |
Afam4eva: I think this man raised a point about Awka in comparison to Enugu. For some reason, some Nigerians have this mind set that commercialization and development goes hand in hand. How in God's name is Awka that's supposed to be similar to Enugu in look and feel now becoming like Onitsha. Onitsha and Nnewi caters for commerce in the state. Let the state government allow Awka to remain tranquil and liveable. No! I don't think Awka is trending towards commercial. The serenity of Awka with civil servants and students setup cannot allow it go commercial nor industrial like Onitsha. Awka is tilting towards mix hospitality and low density residential neighborhoods which is ideal for relaxation. |
See what Obi is doing @ DMGS
|
Manny see what Obi did with CKC Onitsha..

nnenna.1:You dey do 'Mtcheww', did you buy bandwidth for me..? ![]() |
nnenna.1:I have limited bandwidth, am conserving it for office tomorrow. If not I have more pictures in my camera I will like to download to my laptop. As for this thread am limited to those projects Obi executed and completed in the city. |
manny4life: Get paid for your otimkpu services to Peter Obi, because you're doing a VERY GOOD JOB.Am a federal civil servant, so am not even in the Obi's State Civil service! Am very far from knowing Obi personally, though I have some in-roads into government circle and know few people in the state's corridors of power. Whatever am doing here does not have any connection to the govt. |
nnenna.1:You want me to jump on another thread? Do you know that I left my wife in the bedroom since morning to do some work on this thread. |
manny4life: Serious Otimkpu...Get paid for what? Lemme tell you am one of those people that may not survive it if my town is carved out of Anambra. Do you know what it feels like coming from Anambra?? na joke ![]() |
