Number 1 enemy of A good Nigeria is INEC. Billions spent by INEC is last general election and yet they could not deliver electronic voting to Nigerians. INEC clearly stole the votes for Tinubu. When the main protest starts again, this time INEC would the number1 target. |

Build better infrastructure for the masses, dem no dey hear. At least, he would be remembered for fighting the Fulani killer menace. |

COMPAQ: We need something like this in Lagos. Lagos is the commercial center of Lagos and would greatly benefit from 24/7 electricity. Even if at a higher tariff. I'd gladly pay N150/kwh of constant stable electricity, cos my gen is costing me like N450/kwh equivalent, not to talk of the noise, pollution, maintenance etc Ofcourse you are right. This project was actually a project which the World Bank then led byNgozi Okonjo iweala adviced the FG to embark on but the FG stalled on it because of the funds involved. The owner, Bart, actually said he would have made more money if he located it in industrial estates in Lagos than anywhere in the country but he wanted to do it in Igbo land to contribute to development in the East. He is actually from Enugu State but choose Aba because he believed that's the people that needs it best because the massive production at Aba. So you are actually right. He can actually do something like this in Lagos if the state government can provide funds and award him contract to execute it. He has something like this in Abuja but on contracts and it's actually not just one only that this one is the biggest of them all. |

Frezhkid10: The federal government can build it..but instead they decided to formulate policies to enable growth and that is how a normal government should be run.. If he has not signed that policy…even if they started building in Buhari’s era they will end up delivering all the power generated from that station to the national grid.. Who go come lose??🤷♀️🤷♀️..the neighboring community in which that plant operates. So in your assertions, this is the first private power company in Nigeria? You thinks it's signature that gave birth to the 1st private power company in Nigeria? |

BreconHills: Nobody is saying it is a FGN project. The man raised $5m fir goodness sake. What I am saying is that just like Zunguru ( solved) Mambilla ( not solved) this project could have continued being tied up in red tape and conflicting claims till kingdom come if not for this administrations intervention.
In the same way, Tinubu has ordered the Attorney-General of the Federation to clear all court cases around the $1.3bn deepwater OML 245 oil block to unlock the assets for the good of Nigeria.
Let's give kudos to everyone who made this work. The glory is Barths. History will acknowledge that but let us not be polar - one day it could be someone else whose contribution is denied. Let history be accurate and then time will do the rest. My bro, I am not doubting what you wrote but check the people that I quoted to see what they were saying. Of coz Everyone tried but let's not rob a man his glory. Prof Bart Nnaji, a U. S electrical engineer is a man whom has paid his dues when it comes to building power companies. No be today. |

BreconHills: Can you see any tribalism in my statement.
How can a Genco with its own private gas supply lack funds? The gas alone is worth more than the initial $5m raised.
Rather, itwas competing claims over the award process. The same franchise was resold to Interstate Electric and in 2013 the BPE listed the assets as belonging to Enugu Distribution Company. That logjam like the one over Zunguru persisted until this administration.
In order to honour a worthy achievement by a great man one does not denigrate the efforts of others. As I said listen to the speech that will be read by Barth and learn what actually happened.
https://guardian.ng/opinion/what-is-stalling-the-aba-power-plant/ Before , I told you it was owned by the man, you should know I know the man very well. This is not the first power station he has built. In fact many private power stations around the country was built by this man only that most of them were on contracts. Even the Power that is been used in many of those big estates in Abuja and even aso rock was a contract delivered by him. And this is not his first company here in Nigeria, but this is an upgrade. I have to say it because this post was more like saying "It is a federal government project". |

Do you know how many years this project was tied up in red tape? Listen to Barth Nnajis speech on the opening and learn - there is no tribalism at the top of the tree. his major problem was never license but funds. Moreover, he has done such for federal government in the past, Even aso rock does not use PHCN but the works of this man, Bart Nnaji. And what do you mean by bringing tribalism here? |

It would not happen because no region can afford war in Nigeria now. What I see is different. Before next decade in Nigeria; I see Era of presidential assassinations coming back, but this time around it would not come from the Military but individuals whom are fed-up of thiefs manning the affairs of the nation. That's if idiots keep stealing the People's mandate. |
