I didn't actually bought the original mercury battery, I bought another product. After changing it to full charge and leaving it for some reason hours, It lasted me 23 hours 16 minutes slightly medium speed. I haven't tested the highest speed yet. The battery is really good.

My friend had a preterm baby in a government hospital and they didn't release them until baby was 2kg and the hospital kept monitoring the weight in their subsequent check ups.

Trusting God for the jaundice to clear and it shall surely be so, Amen. My DD2 also had jaundice at birth so I can relate.
It is well with baby and you shall soon go home with him, Amen.

I'm not allowed to take him out of incubator , I would have done the sunlight thing. I specifically told the nurses of the sunlight and no response.
The level right now is 8.2%

jaundice is very bad,please don't go home if the levels are still high,ask for a discharge and go to a better hospital.
my son level was 10.5 and after 2days of staying under light it went down to 6.5 and we were discharged.
Am so sorry about what you are passing through.

There is possibility that you are been kept because of the weight. But I think you should be carried along and not make you ignorant about what they are really doing. God be with you and baby. Weldone ma, its not easy.

Trust your doctor, if you have any concerns and questions, approach them. I think your case is a little different because baby is preterm cos babies with jaundice need to be fed on demand and as often as possible, so they can pass it out.

This too shall pass. Be strong.

Edit: I just read where you said he eats well and has no other issues. I dont know why he is still kept there even after transfusion. Most hospitals discharge with levels less than 10 sef, my daughter had 11.1 at first, it dropped to 9 or so after the 3days treatment and we used the pawpaw thing thereafter.

But my sister, what I want you to know, effects of prolonged and untreated jaundice is very bad. No two cases are the same.

Why not seek a second opinion, preferably in a teaching hospital.

I had wanted to say this ( taking the child to Massey), @bettylizzy if you are in Lagos, find your way to Massey children hospital for the sake of that baby and if you are not in Lagos move that baby away from that private facility, take him to general hospital or teaching hospital around you. private will keep milking you until you have nothing more left moreover they don't always have much pead consultant as government hospital. at Massey you will spend less and the child will be well attended to by specialist but the nurses and cleaners get bad mouth sha ooooo, just ignore them.

you can express breastmilk and beg the nurses to regularly fed your baby.
we used sunlight when we were discharged too.
Ask your PD to know what is happening 4 weeks is too long.

What is his current weight now?? What is the current bilirubin level? What are the doctors saying? 4weeks is a long time.

My second baby had jaundice, we didnt know until day 4 when we went back for testing, spent about 3days under the light, the thing wasnt coming down. I immediately started pawpaw therapy and that helped us together with morning sunlight.

get an unripe pawpaw, peal and remove the seeds, cut into pieces and soak with clean water. drink from it and also give the baby like two to three spoon three times daily. you can make another one after the third day

Good evening mummies, I birth my baby May 24th via emergency Cs and I have been in the hospital since then cos my baby came out earlier than expected(preterm) and also jaundice.
I need advice on what to do to clear out the jaundice. Two(2) EBT has been done and yet we are still on it though I thank God it's better than before and God made everything available and successful.

Good morning , we had a miscarriage after 12 weeks. It was a traumatic experience. The baby literally came out in the bathroom after severe pain and bleeding in the bathroom of our hospital. She had fibroid but doctor then said it wasn't caused by the fibroid. We did a scan in the hospital two hours before the miscarriage and from the scan the doctor said everything was fine but they gave her an injection for pain and that happened. It was so bad, we had to go on vacation with two family couples for a week outside the country to overcome the trauma. Prayer also helped.

We kept praying and she's pregnant again . We decided to see a fertility specialist who is a specialist in threatened pregnancies and after a scan he recommended cyclogest, duphaston, pronatal and a low dose aspirin. She was six weeks pregnant when all this was recommended. We have been using it religiously. Just want to confirm if these drugs have been used by anyone here and if the drugs have helped anyone. Is there any side effects we have to be aware of ? The doctor has explained to us to an extent but it will also be nice to hear from real life people. Thanks

Don't forget that this virus depends more on your immune system, how well your body fight virus and heal itself. If your immune system is good from onset without underlying health issues your recovery will be fast. Dint forget we get better herbs in Nigeria just that we don't want to tap into it.
