Dear glowing mummies, Good afternoon. I hope you all are bumping well.
Please I beg put mouth in this my matter. I'm 18 weeks.
Went to see the Dr this morning. After every every, we did scan and I saw my LO. I'm always happy doing scan because I enjoy the view.
Then Dr decided to do a transvaginal scan to check the cervix length. We then saw that the middle of the cervix was open, like a canal and with fluid. Yes the inner and the outer parts were closed but the middle was open. Even the Dr was confused. He said the liquid might drain and the cervix might close but he can't trust it as it might open again. So he's suggesting a cerclage. I felt so bad because he checked the cervix about 5 weeks ago and it was ok.
I was just crying like a baby. I don't know what to make out of this. I feel so down. Hubby travelled and I haven't told him yet. I'm so heartbroken. I was just rocking my bump a few days ago now this?
Please has anyone had such an experience? What could have caused it? Maybe it's the hormones but I can't stop crying

Hello sis, how are you feeling now? I will suggest you speak at length with your Dr after which you suggest to him to tell you the best path to follow. Try not to cry OK, thank God you did the transvaginal scan and you got to know about this early. Na something wey no get solution be the worst OK. It is well with you.

no update yet edd is confusing. Doctor gave me February 2, ultrasound gave January 30 but I'm staying with my LMP EDD February 5, since I'm a FTM. Toilet typing tho

I and man recently got engaged and we’ve been trying to get preggy. Last month 23/10, my period came for just half day and it was light red, the remaining two days, i had brownish discharges all over my pads. I’ve never had a day period before in my life so I’m really worried. Maybe you should check with a Dr to rule out infection. Meanwhile I hope your "man" is ready to go all the way with you. Be sure of that before you commit yourself to getting preggy before marriage. Men can be somehow ok .

May be because I am not afraid of Injection. I injected my self daily for two weeks during this pregnancy(Week2 to Week4). I was talking Gestone Injection daily.

Maybe for you people that don't fear injection normally mine was so painful plus my shoulder was heavy for days. Biko I pray they find oral version soon.

Ewoo, before I take it, whoever that is to give it to me will allow me breathe in and out, get myself mentally, physically and emotionally prepared for it. Them sabi me for there . The pain no dey even gree shame catch me . Abeg who wan die?

After the shot, my arm feels heavy for at least 2days. Where do they give you the shot?? Maybe I will come there for my next one .

Please by all means go for it. It's a simple procedure and you will be out when it's being done, after, you will feel just slight pain, nothing major that paracetamol can't take care of. You might be asked to abstain from se.x for some weeks. It is well with you.

I heard applying oil, whether coconut, ori or olive oil helps to calm the scratch. I also heard that when you scratch it, stretchmarks appear, don't know how true that is though.

The two hospital that I uses for Antenatal are suggesting vaginal cerclage for me because I experience miscarriage 7years ago even though the miscarriage was due to fibroid pain and the baby was evacuated. I've operated the fibroids before my conception

My Recent recent result shows that my cervix is okay.

They advised me to carried out the procedure since I've waiting for the baby for years.

What is your say about that my experience mama's.

If you have the money just do it to avoid stories that touch. Or you can redo the scan after some weeks to see. 7years nobi beans to start thinking of what ifs. May God guide you to the perfect line to tow.

I’m fine oo. Started walking again. We are going to be discharged today. Doing pretty good . I’m going through all my complaints on this thread earlier back and all I can say is wow. The pregnancy really dealt with me being a ftm but seeing my son, I forgive him for destroying my stomach and everything he put me through, the heartburn, indigestion,constipation, scaly skin, rashes, itchy skin, the nights I couldn’t sleep and every other thing I went through psychologically and emotionally. Now I just have to try my best to work on my stomach when I’m finally able to coz I can’t do anything till I heal properly . The line is so tiny you wouldn’t notice till I point it out sef. My doctor was that good. Now I can’t wait to born a baby girl . But that one na 2024 oo. I’m still traumatized . Lol

Lolzzzz, I'm happy you are looking at the bright side of it. You can take that peppersoup they make for new moms, your belly go soon contract back to normal. With time you won't see that line again.

Teamie sorry ooo, what I can advice is take lots of water, avoid foods that trigger it, take your foods in smaller portion, like a food that you ordinarily can finish at a go, try and divide into as many portions as possible, when you do that, you take a portion, then you wait for an hour before you take the next one. It's tedious, I know but na part of the package. Antacid makes me purge and fart smelly devilish farts , I only do antacid during weekends when I can fart my farts in peace .
